Since when has Kai Hansen's music been underrated ??? Gamma Ray is not exactly the best band in power metal, she is probably the only one, not counting Blind Guardian... Everything else is more like pop dust than power, especially metal... With their stupid shredder-guitarists and snot-nosed vocalists...😁

Dan "The machine" Zimmerman. the live albums skeletons in the closet and his final overall album he recorded Skeletons & Majesties Live really showcassed what kind off chops he had. Armagaddon on the first cd of skeletons in the closet is just breath taking. then on CD 2 you have Last before the storm and thne Victim of fate from Kai his Helloween days. its just amzaing how he drummed there. Skeletons & Majesties Live has some more mellow songs but when Dan could go all out it was with the opener on CD 1 Anywhere In The Galaxy, then a bit later on with Sad wings of destiny. Cd 2 starts with dethrone Tyranny just a smasher like you showcassed. then a few songs later we got Rise where Dan can go wild again. A shame Dan retired, but also understandable when a parent wants to be with their kids.
Absolutely agree with you man, he is an absolute beast! And Armageddon is an amazing track, especially his drum parts
