You're lucky you walked it out of there. I got off in an old pit with a D5B dozer, by the time I figured out that spinning the tracks was only making me go deeper, I had to crawl out of the cab and actually step up about a foot to get to ground level! I winched myself out later, tied to another dozer.
Yep I'll take a shake of luck every now and then! I 'figured' the 'original' bottom was somewhat firm, glad it worked out! Or I would have been calling Sharon again for a save!! :0
Good job cleaning up the pond and repairing the dam 💪 hopefully it will hold and fill up with water 💦💦 good effort on walking the machine out 👍 rubber tracks not the best for that kind of situation 😕
Cleaning the edges of this pond reminded me of the pond at Project 211. You've been cleaning muck out of mud holes and ponds ever since I've known you. I know you were one lucky dog to go down in the bottom of that mess without burying it to the cab and come out smelling like a rose on the other side. But that's what I call Kapper Luck!!! smh
😂 Clark 😂😂. Joe just makes his own luck. Now he not always had luck, recall the Duck Pond? But he gets up and goes after it and makes his luck. His Duck Pond was not meant to be. Still think he found gold and buried there as a decoy. Hahahaha
Hey I'll take a little luck every now and then! I guessed that the 'original' bottom was likely pretty firm, so my gamble paid off! Now we'll see how it holds water! Looking forward to finishing that pond off too. Thanks Clark
Hope it works. There's lots of muck in there to get out. Water in my area is plentiful. Ponds everywhere. Mine is spring fed, so no worries about dry weather. Deer use it all the time. I have 50 acres but I don't have any equipment.
So nice to have a spring fed pond! cool. I think it will hold but only time will tell. I hope to get the rest of that much out before it fills to that level but we'll see. Got more rain last night!
Learned something new tonight! That snapper was in brumation like a snake. So I’ll share this new found info: they actually breathe through their butt when submerged over winter. Look it up. Better dig out your tracks tonight.
Well I think he's now buried back in there! Guess time will tell. We've had snappers and plenty of fish on our last 2 ponds so I always figured they could co exist.
Good progress on cleaning out the pond, good thing you were able to pull yourself out of there!
You got that right! But as you'll see in the next episodes it was a win, and loss, lol

Thanks! I was glad I was able to get it out! We got more rain last night and today, should be a bit more full now :) Thanks
It's always a sick feeling to get stuck but you handled it like a pro!
lol no doubt!! I'm glad this time it worked out! And we got rain all night and this morning so it probably has more water today again. Thanks

lol I wish I had found gold!! But yeah I am used to making my own luck!

You might want to relocate that turtle now. We never had any, now they have taken over our pond and killed our fish.

I'll be thinning the turtles out next year.
