Who cares about his Oscar tally, you ask most people and they'll tell you Al Pacino's catalogue of movie performances are stronger than a lot of people that have won 2 or more oscars over their career. It's much tougher to dish out consistent good acting performances over decades than it is to win multiple Oscars in a 40+ year career where you can go 10 years of trash performances but because you've had a long career you can have 2 Oscar worthy performances over 2 decades thus winning 2 oscars.

I love his interviews. He is actually hilarious on Letterman. I love all his movies, the way he looks, the way he talks, that crazy hair and those bedroom eyes.
He's of Italian descent...(like me 😊) from him only nice interviews, never snooty or arrogant. From him the fondest memory of John Cazale: "he taught me everything and I'd have acted with him all my life....". Real talent, real professionals and I wish they could all live forever.
