@@tijanakovac7865 I loved the first one, I do agree with the lack of female characters but Locke and Jean were so well written I can make an exception. Book 2 was good slow start, but does have a female pirate captain! Book 3 was bad though
I totally agree. Read the fist 3 books in dutch. Unfortunately they stoped translating them. Bought the series in English recently so I can finish the series. 🙂
Fruits Basket changed my life, no I’m not being dramatic 😂. I cried when I finished it, not because of the ending but because I’d never get to experience it for the first time again and because I wasn’t part of this world and it wasn’t part of my routine anymore 😅 never done that before and ever since either!
The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefvater! i revisited this one about 8 years after first reading it this year and still adored it, highly recommend the audiobook
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder was my favorite book for a long time. Still holds up. Kushiel's Dart by Jaqueline Carey is great and I think you would love it. And Orfeia by Joanne Harris was lovely
Oh for sure the John Gwynne books! They are my favorite reads of this year. I think about them daily and I also love his The Shadow of the God's book too
Fruits Basket vol.1 - I started reading this series this year and I love it so far. I'd highly recommend. It mixes contemporary and fantasy really well.
Daughter of the Blood! The whole trilogy is great! (I would caution to read anymore of the spin offs after the OG trilogy because Anne Bishop ruins several characters in further books).
The therapeutic nature of this video - like, talk about staying honest and completely transparent. 👏🏻 My vote is Monstress vol. 1 for the amazing artwork and the creepy-ass plot.
Dark Matter, Book Lovers, and Sign Here I read and loved, so I'd definitely recommend!! On my TBR though I have a lot that I'd also be curious to see-A Study in Drowning, The Jasad Heir, The Hurricane Wars, House of Salt and Sorrows, Curse of Saints, Weyward, Immortal Longings, A Spell of Dust and Smoke, The City We Became, King of Battle and Blood, Sing Me To Sleep, Babel, One For My Enemy, The Foxglove King, The Stardust Thief
Daughter of the blood by Anne Bishop and the Black Jewels Trilogy in general ….is my fave of all time. Would love more than anything for you to give it a try. So glad to see others on here recommending it also ❤
I have read (and recommend!) the following: --Storm Front (The Dresden Files) --Traitor's Blade --The Fifth Season --Ancillary Justice --Uprooted --The Name of the Wind --Interview with the Vampire --Dragonflight --Fruits Basket --The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches --The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson). Happy reading in 2024!
Shadow of the wind by Zafon! It's a beautifully written book! Saga is great! I had trouble getting trough the Interview with the Vampire but the Vampire Lestat was amazing good! To kill a Mockingbird is a must read! And if there was a time to get to reading Percy Jackson it is now! I loved King of Battle and Blood but it is definitely not for everyone... Iron widow was a cool book to read. Anyway you got some sweet reads to look forward to on your TBR. Hope you enjoy whatever you decide to read in 2024!
This is one of my favorite videos of the year! My recommendations are Ace of Spades, Three Dark Crowns, Traitor's Blade, The Wicked Deep, Shadow of Night, The Southern Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires, Pretty Girls, Iron Flame, Legends and Lattes, House of Salt and Sorrows, Kingdom of the Feared, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Pinch of Magic, The Land of Roar, Amari and the Great Game, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, Caraval, Only a Monster, The Diviners, Percy Jackson, Part of Your World, The Undertaking of Heart and Mercy, Book Lovers, Twisted Love, The Serpent and the Wings of Night, The Unhoneymooners, King of Battle and Blood, The Adventures of Amina al-Sarafi, and Lore. So many to choose from!
Some of my all time favorites are Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Percy Jackson Series, and Curse. I also really enjoyed Flowers in the Attic, 3 Dark Crowns, The Kiss of Deception (I'm finishing the 3rd one now!), The Black Prism, The Diabolic, and Caraval. I would also note that Once Upon a Broken Heart does have a couple of small spoilers for the ending of Caraval so, while you can read them out of order, just know that.
Ace of spades, shadow of night, the shadow of the wind, Kingdom of Gold, Undercover Bromance! Two of these are book 2 of series that have been started and both are lifetime favorite series.

So many good ones unread. Might have to do a try a chapter for the ones you’re not sure about. But interview with a vampire and magician are the best oldies!
The Lies of Locke Lamora - I will die on this hill. Worth so much more hype than it gets.
100% agree!!!! Love that book!
Liked but didn't love wanted it to go deeper and distinct lack of female characters (that stick around) interested to continue series but not urgent
@@tijanakovac7865 I loved the first one, I do agree with the lack of female characters but Locke and Jean were so well written I can make an exception. Book 2 was good slow start, but does have a female pirate captain! Book 3 was bad though
