My dad was in Vietnam for 3 years in the Army. Just long enough for a lifetime of health problems. He made it to 2016 and his death certificate says he died of “Agent Orange-related complications”. I went to Vietnam the next year and it was a very healing experience for me.
I loved this vlog. I always like seeing your journey as you travel. You did look really hot in Hue. Is the temp a significant difference from Saigon? That must have been rough to deal with during the time my Dad was there. Your Grandpa would have loved that you did this. You make me very proud Tyler. I love you Ronski.
Just hearing you mention Phu Bai, and seeing you land (safely) there sure brought up so many memories of my time serving on that base. I especially liked (honored) you speak of your grandfather as a tribute. Cherish those good times. Take in the sights, enjoy the different foods and mingle with the locals. It is so great that you can speak the Vietnamese language so well. You da man !!
Your Vietnamese is REALLY good. The fact that you can understand Huế accent is truly impressive. Awesome effort in learning the language and the native tongue.
Greetings from California. When Inwas there this past June, we went from Saigon to Hỏi An and it got hotter, and then we drove 3 hours from Hồi An to Huề and it got ever hotter! Hopefully when you head out to Hỏi An and Danang you’ll experience less hot temperature. Looking forward to your visits and the food you’ll tell us about.
I'm travelling to Vietnam in September, I am on a Keto/Carnivore diet as a result of diabetes and IBS. I may have to fast more in Vietnam as a result of eating restrictions, based on your videos.
Bạn hãy đến một bệnh viện để thăm khám tư vấn bác sĩ sau khi đặt chân đến Việt Nam. Ở đó có nhiều chuyên gia tốt và rất nhanh chóng và chi phí không quá đắt.
115 000 for pho and water is super expensive. Next time check your bags in and walk out of the airport and eat for 30 k aomewhere. Well i know Saigon is expensive but the airport food is quite bad. Brtter to eat big the night before and wait till youre in Da Nang or Hue
FYI. The reason VietJet does not park at the gate is because they are a discount airline. Cost more money to dock at the gate. Cheaper for them to park somewhere else and get bussed over. The only time VietJet would have a gate is when they are on an international airport e.g in Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur.
Hey Tyler, 1) Do you still paying for your U.S. phone plan to keep your phone number active or you only have a prepaid plan? 2) Do you need to notify your U.S. bank that you are in VN for a few months so that you can access your bank accounts while in VN? 3) Do you need to go to 2 steps verification process to be able to check your U.S. bank account while in VN?
If you giong further North them dialects havier and havier, aslo too difficult to understand what,re saying. Does ever your girl bring you to the village name QuanThUAN(QUAN? SON)?
Actually your accent is closer to the middle of VN than to the South. The accent from people in Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngai is very hard to hear. Hue’s accent is OK.
Thank you. This was great as it helped me figure a few things out. :) Question, please. The desk clerk asked for your passport. Did she keep it, make a copy, or look at it? Thank you.
They'll usually just take a photo of your passport. But sometimes if you stay for a longer time they'll ask to hold onto some type of identification until you pay at check-out.
