After 1 year in south east asia, I just got back to america. And every morning I miss walking the streets of VN to get my banh mi and Sua Dau. Thanks again for being part of my inspo to go.
I miss Saigon...thanks for doing longer videos walking out and about The alley where you went to ask for apple watch repair...it's lively but as you imagine, being next to hostess bars, it's lively after certain hours 😂
Hey Tyler, you made a great choice on the place to live in Saigon. PVC Binh Thanh is where I would live when I finally make the move to Saigon. I once stayed at Maison De Camille Boutique Hotel in Binh Thanh, and walked all the way over to the PVC Little Tokyo area. I really enjoyed my stay in Binh Thanh near PVC.
thank you for the feedback! I'm not sure if they have those, but I have seen those in a few convenient stores throughout Saigon, and there's also a grocery store that specializes in things you cant easily find here but you can get abroad so they would definitely have those, cheetos, ruffles, etc
@@BigTimeBentley Thanks, Tyler. The only other place I have found Doritos is the King Kong Mart in Phu Quoc, which is a 1-hour, car ride, 2-hour boat, ride, ½-hour car ride from where I live in Thanh An, QL80 - not that I would make a special trip for Doritos, but I'll have to stock up again when we travel to our little house 10 minutes walk from the beach in Phu Quoc.
well said for the reconstruction of Catheral and also its architecture very complicated built by the French so it must be French to be a essential part of the recontruction
Regarding rentals, I heard that so many apartments have been built in Saigon that lots are empty and rents can be negotiated as builders/owners are desperate to let.
I’d think the Vietnamese communist government doesn’t exactly tolerate Christianity or past French culture. It’s a majority Buddhist country now. Maybe one day they will bulldoze and rename it like the French cemetery across the street from the pink church! Or like Turtle Lake. Sad.
Long form weekly updates like this is how you do it! Also good on you for giving rafters a shout out. The degenerate fatandbroke tried to lose them business after getting kicked out for drunk live streaming in there
Hey Bentley, I see your Alice in Chains shirt. Have you come across any concerts in country that play that genre of music? Or even local bars that play live music
You can be famous like Phuc Map if you just make an effort to get on the Vietnamese game shows or variety shows. Your Vietnamese is pretty good now to show it off a little. It is especially good, because it is Saigonese and not a Central or Northern accent.
You should do this long video content, I like it. I can get on the treadmill and walk with you. To make it more profitable, you should first do this types of video in a live stream to gets those SuperChat Donations, and so you can chat with your viewers. Then afterward, you can come back and edit the live stream video to posts it as an edited video on your channel.
great ideas...I've sort of intentionally avoided live streaming because I don't want to just start doing that and abandon youtube, but I think it would make sense to at least do a weekly or bi-weekly live stream
@@BigTimeBentley I believe that YT is trying to competes with TikTok with their short form videos and they will promotes your channel if you makes contents for them in the short vertical video format for YT.
Have you experienced any ghosts in Vietnam from living over there for 7 years? Any strange or unsual experiences? When my Aunt and Uncle was over there, she said they were staying in a hotel somewhere near Hanoi, in the middle of the night while they were sleeping, she was awoken by voices of women and children she saw them coming out of the walls. While my Uncle was in a deep sleep and could not be awaken, she said that this apparition was meant for her. The spirits of the dead children were in her room along with their dead mothers. She told them "please not to scared her" and she will do offerings to appease their spirits in the morning. She said that their faces were white and they were laughing and scaring her with glee. The hotel was probably built near the vincinity where there were many deaths during the Vietname War.
I’m a 71 old lady. I’m gonna get Plastic surgery at Gangwhoo hospital district 10. Any referral for a hotel or service Apartment that has room service.?

Just curious! crab is called xe thồ. Require you to wear the hat for safety? Driver did not disinfect before he gives it to you? Just afraid to get head lice from someone else. Hope to go Vietnam in someday.
I worry for you. One day, while exploring a dark moldy building in a narrow alley, you will end up at a place like the Russian Roulette scene in the movie The Deer Hunter. One shot.
We all know why the Saigon cathedral takes FOREVER to complete. One word: begins with B, ends with be. If it's complete, then there's no more $$ to leech on.

Hi Tyler, would you film Nguyen ba tong high school and phu tho horse racing if it’s not too much trouble for you? Thanks
Personally, I like Da Nang more. It's like a mini-Saigon with a nice beach. Its airport is conveniently 15 minutes from the city center.
Danang is nice too but Saigon is incomparable, the one and only
Is there still a lot of fresh fruit in the markets in January?

theres a relatively new bar on Bui Vien that has a live filipino band that covers that type of music regularly
