Two things that helped me so much were Practicing Slowly first, and Practicing all the time. Waiting 2 minutes for fhe microwave to cook? Thats a shadowboxing session, putting dishes away in the kitchen? Thats a shadowboxing session. Just any little time I had a spare moment Id be throwing at least a few kicks or punches. If you live and breathe striking, you'll get better at it
The straight line rule is a good method to fight multiple opponents. It focuses on the idea that, 'you want to be fighting one person at a time, and striking one person at a time' In short sense, If you have two or more opponents, move in a way where they come at you in a line, thus, two people cannot be fighting you at once, because one is blocking the other. Another thing is, you can use opponents as the environment, as a shield, etc etc, to maneuver better.
