As a huge Lagerfeld fan, it s a pleasure to see your special of Karl scents.. At least someone who had this wonderfulp idea and great quality review !! Thank you so much !
I get about 6 to 8 hours out of classic gray. On my skin the dry down stays relatively sweet with a notion of creaminess toward the end before completely disappears. But this is one of my favorite scents from lagerfeld this one in the original in fact I'm wearing it right now. That's what gave me the notion to start looking up reviews on this and I ran across yours. I keep running across your videos I think it's time to subscribe
Love the Classic, wear it like Chris (ScentLand) recommends 3 to 4 sprays on skin below the shirt for best effect. Other KL scents, aside from the Bois line, I don't like.
Wore Lagerfeld back during my sophomore year in High-school in 1986 and and this is the Cologne that got me into the expensive but satisfying hobby of buying and collecting colognes. I think the original 1978 Lagerfeld is definitely legendary and for those who remember the smell, it will always take us back to where we was and what we was doing in our past when we smell it.
@@ScentTrail i realized after the fact you ask what fragrances as in plural so here are a Few of my favorites Yves Saint Laurent Y Eau de Parfum, Aqua Di Gio Georgio Armani Profondo, and recently Prada Released The Eau De Parfum version of Luna Rossa Ocean which I purchased as soon as it released last month and its a really a good performing Cologne, I also have the Eau de Toilette version of Luna Rossa Ocean and its a toss up between the Edt and Edp on which is my favorite 🤷🏼… Lagerfeld will always be the one that started it all for me tho. Forgot to subscribe last time I commented but corrected that just now. Great Channel also
Nice choices. 👊 The only one I don't have is the Edp Ocean. Haven't even smelled it yet 🙄 I'll have to hit it up this weekend 🤪 Thanks again for watching 🙌
This is my 4th viewing of this video. Helped me pull the trigger on Vetiver and Ambre as they were going on special. Looking to get Cedre as the other 2 are winners.
Would love to hear your take on Karl lagerfeld Mercer Street, which I feel is a really good offering by them. Also, maybe a comparison video between the current loggerfield classic and a bottle of the vintage stuff. I've bought several bottles of the vintage on TH-cam for a reasonable prices, and it is so much better than the modern reformulation.
What an amazing fragrance of course I'm taking about the original formulation not the current juice floating around these days, to this day there is nothing that smells like it. It is my wifes all time favorite, i wish i could find the original formulation but is almost impossible. Amazing juice!
Excelent video Peter. Thank you. I haven't realy smelled any Lagerfeld scents yet because there is so much out there and this brand for some reason, doesn't realy appeal to me. But listening to your view on the ones you mentioned, there are at least 2 I should give a try: Bois de Cedre and Classic Grey.
@@ScentTrail I will try that one also, but it has ambroxan listed and it depends on how heavy it is as a note in the scent. Too much of it gives me a headacke unfortualy. Classic Grey has some notes I realy like; lavender, oak, cedar, sandalwood and moss. Just as Bois de Cedre has notes I realy enjoy, if done right.
unfortunately you din't mention my favorite perfum of Karl Lagerfeld, Photo. I loved this perfum with all my heart, can you tell me if there is anything like that, even similar, anywhere? I am in Ireland.
Unfortunately, there isn't anything close. Some say Lagerfeld Classic Grey has some similarities. You are correct, Photo was a great fragrance. Thanks for watching 🤜
Classic Gray is my discovery this year. It is incredibly wonderfully creamy and mellow. Durability is satisfactory. Because I like to smell discreetly, but still feel what I'm wearing. Great fragrance. It has only one drawback. After being applied to clothing, in the final phase, the fragrance smells like ... pharmacy. This is only one thing what i hate :/ BTW One of the best fragrance i have. Question. Do you know a similar creamy, masculine fragrance?
People say l'insomis from Lalique reminds them of Grey. However, there is no Hazelnut. Boucheron's Jaipur is creamy in a classic way. Burberry London is another one people like if they like Grey. Valentino Uomo has the Hazelnut mixed with chocolate and coffee. Unfortunately, there isn't a closer fragrance. 😕 Thanks for watching and I hope I helped ✌️
You forgot to say something about the Photo. I love Photo.does anyone of these other versions similar to Photo. Can I find a clone of Photo somewhere else?
@ScentTrail You made Me laugh 😃. She's gone, No Mas.. I still have it in my rotation. If I didn't start my cologne collection that would be one(small circle) of the colognes that I could wear all of my life.
Wierd question but my father (now passed away) use to wear a Lagerfeld cologne in the early 90s. I have always wanted to find what one it was but not sure what colognes of Lagerfeld would have been out back then. Any possibility you can give me a list of Lagerfeld colognes it could have been?
I'm sorry to hear about your father. It is not a problem at all since there were only three fragrances for men at that point. Lagerfeld Classic...ca .1978... That's the one with the ring on top( Scarface fragrance ). KL Homme ca.1986 And Photo ca. 1990 This one is really hard to find, and many, including me, wish for a re- release. I hope you find what you are looking for. Thanks for watching and being part of ScentTrail.
I’d love that someone would care enough to do do a review on my favourite perfume, my mother’s favourite perfume ( rip) and now my daughter’s favourite but became completely unavailable a couple of years ago - no warning nothing- heartbroken- does anyone know who can make or where I can buy Karl Largerford’s Chloe ? 🙏🏼
Hi Eric , I had Photo way back in The 90s. For some reason, I never repurchased it. It's probably a bit dated today with the Rose ,Carnation, and Cyclamen trio. I'd still pick it up again if the price is right. Why not 🤪 Thanks for watching 👊
@@ScentTrail someone needs to sell a new version of that amazing fragrance, i used to buy it on sale for 15€ 125 ml i wish i had bought myself a supply for life only if i had known that they would discontinue it

Lagerfeld Classic. A hughly underrated fragrance. Very inexpensive too.
PHOTO was amazing!!!
So sad they discontinued it
I’ve been wearing Bois De Yuzu in late summer. I’ve had it about a month. I really like it.
Great one for Summer
Thanks for watching, again 😉
I bought online Bois D’Ambre after watching your post!! Will try it when I get it
