I will say this. You don't have to like Ronald's style ( is this even a style, it's a solo ), but you should respect this guy's immense talent. There are only a handful of drummers in the world that have the physical ability to do this. Tony Royster jr. comes to mind. He reminds me of a modern day Buddy Rich. Blazing hand speed, flamboyant style, and he knows he's damn good. If you got it, flaunt it. Especially during a solo.
Man I heard a lot of things about this Guy like how arrogant he is and all that but I can't say I never meet him. But his playing is incredible like I would take lessons everyday from this guy.
Real talk, he is doing what he was allowed/asked to do. There is a reason why he gets work. If everyone felt the way you felt he would not be working. Just say you personally dont like his style rather than saying he sucks.
The brother is real good, ain't no doubt about it, he can hang out with the best and carry his weight. But a Thomas Pigen he ain't man that's a whole other legend of drumming
I'm sure if he did suck he wouldn't be playing for George Duke,Stanley Clarke,Chaka Khan and other acts that REQUIRE a pocket. He is allowed to overplay btw...with acts like Chaka he's a totally different drummer.
Of course. Ronald is one of the best drummers to ever live. Clean out your ears man. His solos display crazy independence, incredible chops, and impeccable timing. His displacement is unreal also. Sometimes he can get a little wild but overall one of the best drummers period.
I’ve made peace with that though. If I want composition, I could watch a Bozzio clip, or something from Gadd, etc. Bruner’s who I watch when I want to see somebody just completely spazz out and go for it.

This video has changed my life for the better....Never again will I look at drumming in the same light
Ron Bruner Jr is the MAN... incredible drumming going on & even Stanley Clarke looks at him like "dang i like my drummer?!".. haha...
the ending catch felt like an absolute hail mary
High-energy Drums on the limit. The vibe reminds me somehow on West-African traditional drumming
3:05 THE DENNIS CHAMBERS MOVE
RONALD, TROPPO AVANTI! ECCEZIONALE!
Love this guy
For those who appreciate brilliant drumming. And the rest of us for whom it simply looks easy. Like truly great performance deceives us.
and the drum key is still on the snare...... AMAZING!
At 3:05 he does that dennis chambers lick.. Nice work
Am I the only one seeing some kind of paranormal possession take place at 2:08?
that move was just sick ....

thanks for uploading this!
stanley clarke looks like the black jerry seinfield.
It's a backline pearl kit with a Gretsch Catalina snare with die-cast hoops

so much!
POWERFUL
fucking cool
Wowwwwwwww
This guy doesn't get enough credit
Lots of Billy Cobham vibes goin on .
2:09 should be a signature move! Call it Earthquake.
Nice!
it take a lot of jealousy to make a statement like this.
Insanely jelly...
sure can emote and wail with the best of 'em
HOLY SHOT YYYEEEAHAHHH
SxTx haha This dude is the best man
Who are all the other artists up there?
RONALD N.° 1
This solo reminds me of Dennis chambers
Nope, not as clean
What is this tune called?
Hold up is that a session studio classic?
1:25 was that his right foot???
Eric Sandoval yes unfortunately he's and alien lol
to much hate in these vids as always. makes me sad
this man just watched whiplash or something

Es bueno,! pero aún le falta para compararse con mr Dennis chambers.
That bass is fartin
this is just so ridiculous
*shit.
He is better then Mike the guy in Stanley's band now . I think he is just amazing
He hasn't got it all together in terms of composing his solos. Sort of all over the place .
"Sure"... and that's why hes playing for one of best bass players in the world lol
+Andrew Hogue Did you really think that appeal to authority was checkmate?

Not a judicious solo
You can't be a musician!!!
