    The condition of the Audis interior ( grimey shifter, trash everywhere) shows the type of person driving it. Careless and reckless person obviously distracted by a phone.

      Driver wearing a seatbelt = no need for the airbag in this relatively minor crash. Passenger not wearing a seatbelt = deploy the bag.

    Responding down the shoulder is always interesting. I love when people pull onto the shoulder to block us lol. The sooner I get down the sooner yall can be on your way. Also the ones that follow us down to the scene and then can't understand why they get a few tickets. Keep your head on a swivel out there.

    Other tow guys bridle is a interesting setup for sure. I carry a 5th wheel puller for tiems when it hooks the bed. Felt bad seeing guy crawling around under neath. Training seems needed for him. I hate seeing companies that set their guys up for failur or i jury

    • @Towtruck_Dustin

      I believe that was a mini-J bridle, with big J chains hooked into the grab hooks. Which would work in a pinch, but all that extra chain is an issue.

    • @Dingus04
      @Dingus04 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A vehicle’s SRS computer uses a verity of variables to determine which airbags shall deploy in a given accident. If the vehicle decides that it isn’t safe to deploy a specific airbag, it won’t. For example if the driver is holding the horn, or pressing buttons on the steering wheel the vehicle will determine that it’s safer to not deploy the driver side steering wheel airbag as it could lead to broken bones or more serious injuries. The vehicle will also determine the passenger’s weight to verify if it’s safe to deploy the dashboard airbag on the passenger side. Every manufacturer is different in how they program their specific SRS computer and the variables I’ve just stated are just a small percentage of the amount of logic that an SRS computer has to deal with during an accident. I do a lot of programming logic for the computers inside of Tesla, Audi, BMW and Land Rover vehicles and have some experience with this type of stuff. Anyhow, I hope this clears up some confusion! 😊
      Note: If no airbags deployed in a serious enough accident then it’s safe to assume that a bad SRS computer or crash sensors are the culprit.

    My Dad (R.I.P) had a 2093 Ford Escape XLT beautiful SUV and put a lot of money into a new motor well one day him & my mom were visiting me and were in my place I went to putvthe garbage in the dumpster before I could reach the back door some senior lady plowed in the rear end snapping the rear axle . The lady's car was totalled and the local tow company towed the Fergus Falls police were ready to have them tow my parents vehicle bc the gut we had was taking to long but he finally got and towed it to my parents place

    • @Towtruck_Dustin
      @Towtruck_Dustin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question.
      It really depends on what kind of work you plan on doing. The 5500 (class 5 medium duty) trucks are good for most everything other than the bigger trucks like a 2500 or 3500.
      So they work great in the city, where you tow mostly cars, but if you tow a lot of full size trucks or equipment, I’d definitely go for a bigger Class 6 medium duty flatbed.

      The laws vary for different states.
      In Texas, we can run red and blues only on the rear. Other states like Missouri, can run red and blues, as well as sirens, so they can run “code” at the request of law enforcement.
      Just have to know your states laws.
