Candlelighters Supportive Care Research Centre Launch Event | November 2023

We were delighted to officially launch the long-awaited Candlelighters Supportive Care Research Centre in November 2023 at the University of York.
The cutting edge centre will improve the experience of living through and beyond cancer for children and young people, helping to limit side effects which can be permanent, traumatic, and even deadly.
At the event, we explained some of the challenges and side effects that children and young people face while on treatment, through a series of interactive activities and engaging talks.

The launch evening was both exciting and professional. It was staffed by enthusiasts who give their all day after day for our wonderful children and families. I will remember it for a very long time as a great time of launching a vision that we share huge hopes for.
