Thank you for showing Divi Little Bay. We decided to try it out after seeing this video, and we really enjoyed the snorkeling. It was not expensive, not crowded, and very easy to get to also.
Ok, we're loving you showing the menus in this series. We have a new game.... we pause on the menu when you show it. We decide what we'd have, then we decide what you're having. We did great tonight.... we missed on Dee's Baked Potato soup & Dee's dessert. But we nailed EVERY SINGLE other selection! 🤣
Had a great time in mid December on the Harmony of the Seas. Was my first time on Royal and I loved it. Entertainment was great, especially the stage show Grease which was fantastic, Thought the food was excellent too.
Have never been to St Martin. I would love to go in the near future though. We are traveling with royal next year on oasis of the seas. In my opinion, christmas vacation is the best christmas movie. No matter how many times I see it, it never gets old.
Went to St Maarten about 10 years ago and had a great time on the Americas cup sail boats. Would highly recommend. It did take almost all of our port time but it was great fun.
When the two of you go out into the ocean water, what do you do with your valuables? One reason I like private beaches, I feel better about leaving our stuff at the chairs.
We have a large travel safe in our Amazon shop that we use to lock up our valuables... it fits in a backpack, and it can be secured to a chair, tree, anything that's difficult to move!! :P
Pretty cool - on the far end of the beach where you saw a floating boat of some kind, my gut feeling is that is where a very popular snorkeling excursion is located where there is a fully sunken helicopter with the blades still on. Also a cannon and smaller items. Really great snorkeling! They also do the underwater weighted helmet excursion there as well around the helicopter. That is “if” it is what I’m thinking. That would explain why multiple catamaran boats were there at times as well as the excursions come and go. It’s really cool, and neat to think you were that close. 😎 🛳💦💦💦 P.S. I just looked at your video again, and it is what I’m thinking. The bigger floating boat closest to you is where they keep the air hose lines for the helmet excursion. 🤪
St. Maarten -- one of my favorite Caribbean islands! We have only been on the Dutch side. This was after Hurricane Irma so the island was still badly damaged. We wanted to head to the Princess Juliana SXM airport on the French side but it wasn't recommended for safety. Thanks for the memories :)
So, it looks like no restrictions to exploring on your own! I was wondering as some cruise lines were saying ship-organized excursions only. Gosh, I always marvel at the beautiful, clear water in the Caribbean! That seafood puff pastry at dinner looked delicious- hope it was. Catching up to your posts now!
St. Maarten, my favorite island. We will be going to St. Maarten in May. I signed up for a shore excursion to go to Maho Beach. It looks like we can just get a taxi to take us there. I really only want to go there to view some planes coming in. It looks like you feel pretty safe & confident having someone take you to the beach without doing an excursion or anywhere else on the island? Have you ever rented a car & just drove around an island? Just wondering. We also want to go to a beach & then go to some stores on Front St.
We've never rented a car in any port and driven around, no... but we've been just fine catching cabs to beaches and whatnot. Maho would be the same, I'd say. No problem getting there and back via taxi, probably much more affordably than taking an excursion in most cases. We've done all-over island tour excursions for St. Maarten which was fun, but if your only focus is Maho, the taxi route could be an option!! :D
I love when I visit St.Marteen 2015 I visited the Beach very close to Princess Juliana Airport and I Had Blast with those planes landing very close to one and the Jet Blast was intenseeee be cautious can be dangerous.
Wow you guys were close to where me and my wife and her family stay in April in St Maarten if you look to your right on the beach and you other hotel that we stay it’s call belair beach hotel so cool
We do! We've got probably a dozen or so ship tours on the channel, but we haven't had time to do them for any of our sailings since September. We'll eventually get caught up, ha ha... :P
We have a large travel safe in our Amazon shop that we use to lock up our valuables... it fits in a backpack, and it can be secured to a chair, tree, anything that's difficult to move!! :P
We were in St. Maarten the week after Thanksgiving cruising, the ship recommend all travelers stay on the Dutch side due to civil unrest happening on the French side. Ours and most shore excursions actually got canceled due to this. Was just wondering if that was still the case when you both visited or if things had improved by then?

That’s our main source of fun when visiting beachy destinations, hah… but we’ve shown St. Maarten island tours a couple of times before, Maho Beach, Marigot, all over the island. Lots of variety… just not on this particular trip!! :P
Awesome! Really enjoying watching this series! Even years later hehe.

Enjoy your videos. You both give great ideas for excursions at all the various islands. 👍🏻
Nice Little Bay Beach, like the sloth socks Jay!
Staring at the ahi tuna I had last week on my cruise on the Oasis. Royal Carribean has me with their food alone
Good morning...gonna have another coffee and go on an adventure in St. Maarten. Have a great day :)
Glad they got that rebuilt. So pretty.

Nice! That digital screen is wonky with the banding on camera, but that was a fun game each night, ha ha... :P
Good morning, got up late! We love St. Marteen,

Mullett Bay Beach..ughhhhhh FREE! Just take a taxi, great water, great fish and you can see the jets come in! Nobody there but natives!
I laughed out loud at the Red Hot Chili Peppers reference

Yep been there and done that. Excellent excursion. Not sure if they still offer it.
Loved this. Thanks for sharing.😎

Thank you for your video. Always taking notes on where you went and which beach you chose.
Next time Dee goes snorkeling she needs to take a can pressurized cheese. Spray it in the water and she will be covered in fish. Very cool to see.
so enjoy your videos

Because of you two i booked the "Allure"for May 2023 out of Galveston for birthday...
Love how you always have fun. I want to hang out with you😂

@@parodeejay Thank you for the information.
How would you describe the Banana foster flavor? I've never had that. It looked good.

Yesssss, we’ve been to Maho Beach by the airport a few times. Crazy!! :D

Hi there, enjoy watching videos but do you ever do ship tours? I’d love to see parts of the ships you are on from your perspective. Thx!🙂
We do! We've got probably a dozen or so ship tours on the channel, but we haven't had time to do them for any of our sailings since September. We'll eventually get caught up, ha ha... :P
Question- Was there any jet ski rental over there?
We have spent many happy days at Divi Little Bay. When you are away from your loungers, how do you keep your things secure?
We have a large travel safe in our Amazon shop that we use to lock up our valuables... it fits in a backpack, and it can be secured to a chair, tree, anything that's difficult to move!! :P
@@parodeejay thanks!
How was Dee’s Tuna at dinner? I’ve thought about getting it.
It was good! Slightly fishy, but hey... that's tuna, ha ha... we actually enjoyed the food after the first couple of mediocre days in the MDR!! :P

We heard about that, since we were only about two weeks after you sailed, but I don't recall them canceling any excursions. Wow!!
Question: What do you do with your valuables while you are both in the water off a beach?
We have a large travel safe in our Amazon shop that we use to lock up our valuables... it fits in a backpack, and it can be secured to a chair, tree, anything that's difficult to move!! :P
Confused as to why you took a cab from the port instead of the water taxi?
The water taxi has two stops along Great Bay, but we wanted to go to Little Bay. No water taxi service over there!! :D
I realised you went around the point and then knew my mistake lol.
Where do you guys leave your belongings when you’re both in the water?
We have a large travel safe in our Amazon shop that we use to lock up our valuables... it fits in a backpack, and it can be secured to a chair, tree, anything that's difficult to move!! :P
Have you guys ever been to the beach that has the airplanes flying right over your head?
Maho Beach, yes indeed! We've vlogged it a couple of time in the past. Always an exciting time!! :P
Are you aloud to supply your own snorkel gear?
We always bring our own!! :D
@@parodeejay Dee, aren't you a travel agent? Can you be our agent?

How do you spell this port? EDITING Jay needs help! (SINT MAARTEN?) 3:34
The Dutch way, as the locals do. “Sint Maarten”. :P
@@parodeejay Oh ok I learned something today!!
@@traindrivercarl4908 that's right. Two sides, two name spellings -- one island.
