    Y'all are wholesome.
    Also man this was an addicting series. Went looking for X1500 footage that wasn't just an unboxing or zooming in and out and this ended up being such a binge-able video series about it.

    I also have the Panasonic Hc-x1500, I'm very happy with it, when I need to work in low light conditions I have Sony Fx30 or Panasonic Ag-Ux90 😊

    Which setting do you provide to avoid the grainy image when it’s low light like filming the sunset etc ? I see on your images you control the grain very well even in low light quality
    Thank’s 😊

      Out of the box this model loves to boost the gain too high. In the settings, putting the Auto Gain Control to 3 or 0 db will stop that and eliminate most of the noise. You'll have more of a struggle filming at night, but with a small sensor this camera isn't meant for night shots anyway :)

    Hi Hunsberg, I’m considering purchasing this camcorder in dec 2024 and I was wondering if you have enhanced the videos in post production, if not it’s incredible.

    • @hunsberg
      @hunsberg  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For the vast majority of the shots no post processing or grading has been done. Just a bunch of fiddling to get the camera settings and white balance correct before filming :)
      This camera still has excellent stabilization and zoom, even at the end of 2024. Low light performance is poor, but that is not what this model is intended for.

    These kinds of movies make me so happy. Beautiful shots, beautiful images. Congratulations. (I came across your movie looking for the Panasonic hc-X1500, which I might want to buy. Did you shoot this in auto or manual mode?) Anyway the images are brilliant. Greetings from Maaseik (Belgium).

    • @hunsberg

      Thanks! This was filmed with the hc x1500 all in manual mode without any color grading. If your are looking for excellent zoom and stabilization, it is a very good choice. It is less capable in low light, but if you are primarily shooting outdoors it is an excellent camcorder.

    Why the footage from the segment "White Ice" does have a degraded quality compared to the rest of the video? Did you changed the settings?
    It looks more "blurry" and less detailed.
    EDIT: I read the description and noticed that you filmed with Microsoft Lumia 640. Explained.

      The lense isn't interchangeable for this model, at least not without disassembling the entire camera body.

      Thanks! It is all from a site called FreePD.com that has public domain music. It takes a bit to sort through but is well worth it.

    This footage looks great! Do you film in Cinelike-D? Do you adjust any of the specifics for highlight detail like knee?

    • @hunsberg
      @hunsberg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Most of the time I film in Cine-V since I like the way the colors come out without needing to grade.
      Haven't messed with the more specific image tuning much beyond the standard profiles.

    • @CHADAINSWORTH
      @CHADAINSWORTH 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hunsbergokay awesome, so this footage is just Cinelike-V straight out of camera with no other adjustments in-camera or while editing the video?

    • @hunsberg
      @hunsberg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah all CineV and then manual white balance at 1/48 with the ND filters. Apart from that no other adjustments in post. Since all the shots were outdoors, most of the time having too much light was the problem rather than too little.

    • @MrDogtown22
      @MrDogtown22 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hunsberg OK great, thanks. I'm looking a getting this camera. Do you find mostly you just leave it set at 4k 10bit 4.2.2 24fps??

    • @hunsberg
      @hunsberg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah for most of my projects with this camera I shoot with those settings. Since they are slower paced I think it has a nice look, and the 24fps allows for a slower shutter speed when in low light (which this camera is not the best at)
      If I were filming a lot more action packed things I'd definitely use 4k60 instead.

      @@hunsberg what program do you use for editing? And is it on MAC or PC?

    • @hunsberg
      @hunsberg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use Shotcut... It is free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It has a bit of a learning curve but it is very light on resources, so if you have an older computer it is really good.
