On top of being an incredible singer, a great actor, able to clone himself at will, and not too bad to look at 😉, he also designed the cover art for this! That’s just not fair!!
This is a song and video he had lots of issues with. He had started it in July 2022 but it wasn't cooperating. So he set it aside and did.... Rains of Castemere..... instead in August 2022. He picked it back up at the beginning of September. Recording was great but the filming wasn't. His backdrop didn't come in time so he called Eli to help him with the green screen. Something he's never done before. Then when he was editing it wouldn't cooperate. Finally. At the end of September he was able to post it on Patreon and TH-cam October 2nd. He named the first 3 clones in his video... Way Down. Then Daryl got his name here. Left to right... Jeff, Daryl (my favorite), Geoff, Goff and Jeoph.
This is the one where he added a fourth clone and name to the list. L to R is Jeff, Daryl (new clone), Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. I know this because I stole the names off of Kathys' costume list in the behind-the-scenes video. Makeup and beard wrangler - Rick Underwood. Lighting Design and 3D Renders - Eli Jacobson
One of the most amazing things costume-wise on this one is that I swear 'Darryl' (this is where he got named) is bigger than the others. Now it might just be because of the leather duster, but to me he looks beefier. And then we get 'him' again in Folsom Prison as the muscle guy!
Ok, first off, I LOVE that shirt! It's awesome! Next, this was my favorite Geoff song until he did Jack's Lament. It's gonna stay high on the list anyway, probably forever, lol. ❤
Thank you for saying what I can't. Not a huge fan of facial hair, yet each of the Geoffs look amazing... and I think it's the costumes that make it all work. Each of the looks are distinct, yet still authentically cowboy. And lets face it cowboys are hawt. So each look works, cause Geoff is a great looking man un-costumed, and costumed, he IS the role. The arrangement, filming, and costuming are amazing for this cover.
It took him months to get this one out because the rendering of the background kept giving him so many issues. So happy he took the time to do it properly though because it looks phenomenal.
The song was written by Stanley Davis Jones and recorded by The Ramrods (1961) and covered by The Outlaws (1981), Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash among a host of others. The song is so evocative and some of the earlier covers had a really supernatural vibe. Thanks for playing this version & your comments.
I left a comment on the original video saying how much I love that Geoff made an effort to create each ghost as a different person. Ghost #2 in the brown duster looks more heavy-set than the others, Ghost #3 is left-handed, and - though I'm not quite sure how - Ghost #4 strikes me as being older than the others. It's weird, and it's wonderful, and I love this video to death. (Pun intended.)
You are his patron, no? Go, watch him fight those contact lenses every time. Adorable he keeps doing it for the greater cause... they fall, they hurt, they are annoing... but a detail he won't let go. Because: theater kid... 🎉😂❤ LOVE it!!
Oddly enough, this is a comfort song for me. That's because my mother used to sing it to me back in the 60s when I was little. I always get caught out by people not knowing it, because it is so ingrained in me. Love this version!
My mom's favorite, so we heard it a lot. She's now 99 and in a care home, so I took my phone up and played this version for her. I got the biggest smile, and I do believe it brought back some memories if only for awhile.😊
Left to right, you have: Jeff, Daryl Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. Kathy pulled the costumes together and Rick Underwood worked his makeup magic. The actual makeup coloring is a sickly zombie-ish yellow/green with stark blue contacts, and the blue toning for the ghost effect made the lenses pop even more.
Feel better soon Sir and I will look forward to more reactions. Glad you love Geoff as much as I do. His gift of harmonies is incredible. This song if FIRE!!!
One of my favourites. I knew the song originally in my teens , sung by Frankie Laine, a popular singer of the time. Here we are introduced to Daruyl, in addition to Jeff, Goff and Jeoph, who we met in Way Down. :) People have their favourtie ghost riders. Mine is on the far right with the moustache and deep voice. He looks so wicked. I'm a sucker for a bad boy I guess. Once again Geoff's arrnagement skill and imagination are just amazing. On the other hand, Geoff's Monster Mash is incredible too.
Hope you feel better. Did you know "The Mist" is based on a Stephen King story? Well, the movie changed the ending, and Stephen King said he wished he'd thought of ending it the way the movie did.
Great reaction! I didn't notice you hadn't done this one before! Great song! Take care of you and get better! (and someday do Todrick Spell Block Tango! lol)
@@pamelakibildis1177 I’m on his Patreon but I might not be high enough tier to watch it but thanks for responding. I’ll make a point of watching for it. It was one of my favorite movies for about 10 years. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched it and laughed my head off every single time.
I hope you feel better soon DJ. Thank you for another great reaction to Geoff. Did you take notice that out of the 4 gun-slinging Geoff's only one is left handed ? It is the one to his left. I love that game R D R. I never thought of these 4 Geoff's as R D R characters. Now everytime I play the game I'll see Geoff everywhere.
So happy you did this one (and yes I was one of the people requesting it forever 😊) I love your reaction and your sick 🤒 voice is actually impressively deeper. Great job ♥️🎃
I cannot even comprehend why Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci‘s channel does not have 20 million subscribers
For real though
On top of being an incredible singer, a great actor, able to clone himself at will, and not too bad to look at 😉, he also designed the cover art for this! That’s just not fair!!
Geoff always puts110% in what he does. No wonder he’s so good.❤🐇

I BELIEVE this was the video where he named the Geofftones in the description under the video.
Listening to Geoff's bass notes probably helps break up congestion! He's just what the doctor ordered!🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
I was not expecting this song to have me bopping my head but dang. Also....Geoff's feathered hair in this video? *chef's kiss*
Geoff has big problems getting contacts in and it’s certainly not his favourite activity! ❤🏴

Feel better, DJ. Curl up in your fav onesie and a comfy blanket and listen to your favs.
I especially liked it when he layered multiple notes to show his range on the word “range”!
To understand the four costumes, look up Johnny Cash, Ghost Riders... He did the costumes out of tribute.
Ooooh, you're within sniffing distance of 10K! I think you'll make it before the end of the year!

I predict that Geoff is a perfect antidote to your feeling sick. Yippee aie yay!

I can't wait for Christmas time because his cover of 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman' is MUST hear :)
For sure. Always will remain in my top 5 of Geoff (High And Dry first place, I See Fire and Sound of Silence currently 2nd and 3rd)

Geoff has a GREAT deep Dragon growl low. Hits me in the deep soul. Loved this one.
Riders in the sky is an old country song. There's is a band named after the song.❤
This was the first song of Geoff's I ever watched. Still a favorite
I always love watching any iteration of Geoff, but especially whistling Geoff!!
You are his patron, no? Go, watch him fight those contact lenses every time. Adorable he keeps doing it for the greater cause... they fall, they hurt, they are annoing... but a detail he won't let go. Because: theater kid... 🎉😂❤ LOVE it!!
The very end just tickles my fancy right down to the ground...and beyond 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Not taking anything away from Geoff because he is fantastic. But the Ghost Riders in the Sky version by the Blues Brothers... will curl your toes.
Take good care of youself, DJ. We care about you.
So glad you finally got to this epic work by Geoff.
Just wanted to say how much I love your Halloween intro with This is Halloween on a slightly out of tune glass organ.
Feel better soon Sir and I will look forward to more reactions. Glad you love Geoff as much as I do. His gift of harmonies is incredible. This song if FIRE!!!
Appropriate shirt for a Geoff reaction. 😂😂

Nice reaction. He did a great version, but I gotta say I like the original better.
Get along, little doggies 😍 😂💜🦌
I guess you notice there on your end screen that Colm McGuinness has a cover of this song. :)
I love this one. You still should do a reaction to Monster Mash also. 🎃🎃🥰🥰

Get better soon, Geoff is not human but we love him anyway
Great reaction.
I'm sorry you're sick..hope you get well very soon. Thanks for this reaction video; well done as usual.
Feel better soon Sir! Glad you enjoyed this one, it's slightly creepy and yet still such a great tune...
Did anyone else pick up on Daryl moving his coat and putting his hand on his six gun like he was gonna draw down on someone at the end
I love this one, but I have to admit I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing your reaction to his version of Monster Mash.
Thank you 😊
❤❤❤❤ get better soon sir. Plenty of water and rest.
Love your reaction! Get well soon! Thank you for my smile today.
Feel better darling, we want you to be healthy and happy! 💙
And I so want that brown leather duster!

Monster Mash by Geoff is also amazing.
Great reaction! I didn't notice you hadn't done this one before! Great song! Take care of you and get better! (and someday do Todrick Spell Block Tango! lol)
Awesome Reaction Dylan I Absolutely Love Your Channel & can’t wait for your movie reaction to Young Frankenstein 😁😁
Is this going to be on his channel like a live stream? I haven’t been keeping up and I would love to watch his face while he watches that movie!

My favorite Geoff solo song and I'm so glad you picked up on all of my favorite parts. Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks for your reactions, even when you're not feeling well, get well soon. You must, I mean must react to Monster Mash.
❤
Please react to Colm McGuinness’ cover of “song of Durin” THE BASS
So happy you did this one (and yes I was one of the people requesting it forever 😊) I love your reaction and your sick 🤒 voice is actually impressively deeper. Great job ♥️🎃
Can't wait! Voctave released another one today too.
I sure hope you get a chance to react to his version of The Monster Mash.
What about Tim, and Austin's facial hair, huh?
👻❤
The original of this is not a bop at all. Neither was Johnny Cash version. But Geoff is magic with emotions and beats. He just doesn't miss
Makes you want to ride a horse!!!
See how low you can sing!
