It was an honor to shake your hand today at race day 3. Thank you for helping me get started with my channel. I can't wait to work with you more in the future!
This guy checked his calendar not once, but twice, and it's not anywhere near Christmas. All these VGG vidya's coming out are all a real treat, thanks Derek!
You lucky bugger Luke ! This Aussie is spewing - one on one with Derek for a thousand miles ! Does it get any better? Yep, enjoying a couple of cold snacks as well with the fella's. Sweet as mate !
The way Steve Morris stands behind sick seconds as it takes off down the strip with absolutely zero reaction is amazing. The dedication these racing legends have to their craft is incredible.
@anonymous hell yea. The hard work, determination, and passion of the men and women who run brazzers. Imagine having your cup of coffee and clocking in just to get 🥜 ‘Ed on every day. God bless em
A guy don't get to bleep bloop the digical interwebs so much. When a feller finally gets to his laptop confuser 600 he just has to binge watch with some wobble pops and catch up.
This is so much fun to watch, and can I get an absolute "HELL YEAH" for a guy not only drivin, wrenchin, and hustlin, but also gettin these vidyas together for us poor common folk? How cool!
The guy driving the ice cream truck seems more interested in keeping the hot dog rollers going than the maintenance of the truck! You should be paying us to watch this new direction of the channel, to many ads!
I believe I heard Waylon's rendition of "I've Never Been to Spain" blaring from Derek's blueteeth at the check point if I'm not mistaken. When you think it's not possible to like Derek more he drops that he's a Waylon fan too. Keep up the great content and living the American dream!
That first check point was in New Carlisle, Ohio. I practically grew up there. My grandparents (mom’s parents) moved there with all 7 kids back in the 60s I believe. Grandma lived there till she died in 01. My dad lived in that little 2 unit apartment that you drove by at time stamp 16:09. Such great memories in that little town. I’m glad you got to spend time there.
UK here - Im SO jealous of you mericans who have such events to get to, AND them cheap tool stores - none of them here either. I LOVE these vids, and can smell that oil and fuel. Derek, this is one terrific series to add to your usual - im glued. BIG thumbs up to you guys.
I am so glad to see you getting to participate in these race/drag week events! You've come a long way since I've been watching the channel. Keep up the great content Derek.
If a Guy ever does something like this again, he should sell raffle tickets to win the jump/drinker seat position and donate the proceeds to Wounded Warriors or something. This here feller would most surely by thousands worth!!!
Cheers for the aussie shout out for parts purchases, you guys get a huge choice for everything you need, from bolts,to complete engines and everything in between, have a bloody great day
A feller's rolling right through my old stomping grounds! Thanks for taking us with you and sharing your journey Derek. You've inspired me to get back into drag racing. It's so addictive! Maybe one of these nights after you guys get a little deep into the cold snacks you could setup a real simple shoot with you all just snacking, drinking, and talking about the day. Like an informal, chill daily recap. Would be really fun, like virtually getting to hang out behind the scenes with you guys. I think your followers would love it and the video would do well. P.S. If you're still doing all of the editing and ever get backed up and need any help feel free to shoot me a DM . I'd be happy to be part of the team and help you out! Love the content man. Keep them coming!
Taking a auzzie with you in a cold snack van . Next episode .you be doing a shoeie" With a beer . Watching from new Zealand . Derrick you are one person many adore with your humble humour .and car knowledge .and great content to watch . Have a extra cold snack .from your new Zealand fans . Shame we don't have hobo freight here .
Thanks Derek for bringing us along. It's great to see a different side of your adventures. Some really great looking cars there. Have a great evening 👍
Thanks so much for these videos Derek. I'd kill to be on a road trip like this with you guys, but since I can't the next best thing is to ride along virtually.
Is it only me or does anyone else wonder what Derek does with all those tool sets, trolley jacks, etc that he seems to buy every time he picks a vehicle up????🤔😁😋😋😁🤔🇬🇧

You lucky bugger Luke ! This Aussie is spewing - one on one with Derek for a thousand miles ! Does it get any better? Yep, enjoying a couple of cold snacks as well with the fella's. Sweet as mate !
So's this Aussie. Especially with Waylon on the Blueteeth.
The way Steve Morris stands behind sick seconds as it takes off down the strip with absolutely zero reaction is amazing. The dedication these racing legends have to their craft is incredible.

Great to see a Perth local sharing the VGG roadtrip experience!
Im from Perth. Don't recognise this young bloke. Who is he so I can follow on Instagram?
@@pratt1bp Luke Nieuwhof was/is a photographer & writer and I believe also did some commentary at the Motorplex.
Man it’s nice to see a video everyday from VGG, I know it’s not easy to do, but thank you sir.
Really fun video, Derek! .... and.... That ORANGE NOVA.... Oh My!!!!!
Dude that orange Nova is a monster, and an absolutely beautiful work of art. Got to shake Derek's hand, made my day.
Oh myyyyy!
Okay, George T. You just bring that enthusiasm down a notch. Ahead warp factor 3.
Yes the Nova
Orange Camaro?
TH-cam car content is just RIPPING this week, A guy can't get a danged thing done!
I feel this seems like Everytime a guy turns around someone is posting a vidja witch isn't a bad thing lol
WildcatEngineer - A guy just needs his priorities in the right order. Seems like you do.
Lol you both are funny 👍🇺🇸🏁
A guy don't get to bleep bloop the digical interwebs so much. When a feller finally gets to his laptop confuser 600 he just has to binge watch with some wobble pops and catch up.
Cleetus posting daily also...hell yea brothers!
I cannot think of a better representative to show off our American culture to an international visitor!!! Be safe and have fun!
I love that the Ice Cream truck just has a straight up base model trailblazer driveline. Such a cool cruiser
simple shit dont break...2-3000 horsepower shit breaks all the time
"its 117 degrees in here" while wearing a sweatshirt!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
minnesnowtans for ya!
Well you never know it might snow we are always prepared
Of course. The sweatshirt is for soaking up all the sweat. That's why they call it a sweatshirt isn't it?
The hot dog roller does produce a fair amount of heat. Just saying.
Glad I wasn't the only one noticing that. A guy can cool off if ya take the damn hoodie off. 🤣
When you build your own drag car Derek. You should call it The Cold Snack Attack.
Wobble pop could also work.
I second this motion
Still the best 'Merican muscle car, motorhead show on TV. Thanks for the rides and content, Derek. Your presence helps make this channel what it is.
i lovw where Jessica and Dereck are pushing the chanel !! only great things to come !!! hard work for both but great thing !!!
Mullet is such a badass car! Pretty cool to have you tagged up with tom.
So glad you are doing this trip with Tom
Super busy guy still finds time to make vidjas, hats off to ya bud 👍
Thanks Derek for posting, I'm watching from southwestern South Africa.
I’m getting spoiled to all the great automotive content lately on TH-cam.
Really enjoying this content. Derek is really putting in the hard work. Much appreciated!

I love when derek says blueteeth. I catch myself calling it that while explaining it to a customer lol.

Awesome love when drag week style events are on over there gives us aussies some night time relaxing vids keep it up and be safe guys
This is so much fun to watch, and can I get an absolute "HELL YEAH" for a guy not only drivin, wrenchin, and hustlin, but also gettin these vidyas together for us poor common folk? How cool!
22:40 the most honest assessment ever. The need for a cold snack over powering the need to care. loving this "mini series"
The guy driving the ice cream truck seems more interested in keeping the hot dog rollers going than the maintenance of the truck!
You should be paying us to watch this new direction of the channel, to many ads!
That was a BLAST to watch! Thank you, Derek!!!
Love to see the collab with the fellow Michigander Tom Bailey. You guys are like two peas in a drag car.
Your road trip videos are my favorites. You really capture the feelings a feller gets trampin' around the states
I like your editing style. You are respectful of other content creators.

It's the adventure of driving through America that adds to this event.
Thanks for sharing some of that with us!
Tom's car coming out of that hole on the first run was freaking amazing.
Agreed. So quick! Not sure what I said when I saw that, but I said it out loud and there is nobody here.
Hanging with Tom Bailey is a win in my book! A real class act!
Is this going to an ongoing series each day for race week? Lets hope!
This week then rocky mountain dragweek begins straight after he's driving el Toro motion raceworks car ...
"It'd be cool if it was"
There maybe not be much of a video tomorrow, since the racing was rained out today

Derek. Great series ! Makes an old fellow forget about his troubles for a second or two.

Awesome!!!! A guy loves riding along on this adventure!!!!
You guys are working triple time to bring us content and just wanted to say its appreciated
What a great idea for the drive and drag. Sounds like a great time and the Step Van can carry plenty of cold snacks.
That harbor freight used to be a guys local place back in the day. All be dipped if a guy wasn't in my home town.
Which is where? I see they were in Norwalk and spent some time on 23. It looks like maybe they drove through Galion? It was hard to tell.
@@randallksparks1 That Harbor Freight was in Ontario/Mansfield. Looks like the went west on 30 from there.
@@Josh-jg5nn Ok. I'm down in Mount Gilead. I've been to that store.
In the beginning of the video he was at that drive thru which is less than 2 minutes from my house
I needed this video today, sitting in the hospital a bit down on my luck and Derek comes through with a video to help brighten the spirits.
Sick cars, that truck kinda suits you. Hahah. Ol Glory gets my vote. Gassers!
Man i would have loved to have seen Tom being stuck on his front and the wheeliebar.
That is hilarious.
Who needs brakes when you've got a hot dog roller, that works.
Tom seems like a real genuinely nice fella. Glad you boys teamed up for this one

These videos all in a row like this is getting a feller spoiled. It’s like Christmas! Each vidja is a gift!
Love that there's a flying spaghetti monster logo on the truck.
A feller is just not used to a Guy droppin a vidja every day!! Be still my heart!! Depression comin when it stops tho
Yerrrrrssssss
Lol!
Tom is wearing his Dream Cruise shirt!! Thats the event I keep trying to get you to come to!! Plenty of cold snacks!!
