I live about a mile from where this happened and I had no idea about it! Thanks for sharing this. Definitely going to check out the rest of your channel! Bonus: I work on French Rd and have probably heard/seen some version of this train quite a bit.
Awesomeness! Who makes that plow? Kind of rare to catch Railroad Snowplows in action! Single sided Plow! I notice the Number board on the rear Left is not matching the font of the right!
Hi from the Scottish Borders. That was nice to watch, thankyou and I agree with your sentiment, 'Snow Be Gone'. Were CSX lending a Helping Hand, in this instance?
Greetings from Tonawanda! That plow has an unusual looking cupola designed for tight clearances. They have not needed it too much lately. But, you never know
Hey rail rambler cool flashback. Hopefully we'll get some good snow this winter. Didn't get any last winter. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons. Hows your cat doing?
Does anyone know if there is a camera on the front of the plow or is there someone in the cupola of the plow to oversee what is In front of the plow and thus advise the engineer?
Let's not rush things there's plenty of time for snow. Milwaukee just had an inch of rain yesterday so that would be a foot of shoveling. Next week perhaps will have some snow. The only reason Witold wanted to check out the plow is that it probably looked like a large dog biscuit
Thanks for the review of a past snowy year! Winter, she is a comin'! Hugs and good health to you and Witold.

Thank you Railroading Rambler, and Happy Birthday Witold! Watching in Miami.
Great video from Okeechobee Florida.
An interesting snow clearing machine, happy birthday to Witold.
That was sweet with the father and his daughter watching the train go by. And the number boards on the GP38-2 are a real mixed up set.
Beautiful ❤I want snow! I’m jealous…oh I see 2022😂
Yes, 2022, but I'm hoping for a good old-fashioned winter this year!
Did not know they had a russel wedge plow and still use it cool!

OF Jordan, built in 1953
@ it certainly looked different than the Russell plows, so popular here in the North East!
Happy Birthday,Witold. Hope you receive special “doggie treats”.
Thanks! My sister bought him a special mini-cake!
That is an awesome looking street running snow train.

Yes, the Susquehanna leases CSX engines on occasion.

I’m hoping for a real rip-roarin’ winter this year!

Cupola is manned
From straight on, the snow plow sort of resembles a British railways Deltic class locomotive.
Who is controlling this combo? Someone in the loco or someone in the plow?
Plow controls handled by employee riding in plow itself (upper level)
Getting us ready for winter. But happy to not see 100+ inches ever again lol.

Wow, it's quite snowy there already!
Well, not quite yet as the video is from Feb 2022. The snow will arrive soon enough, however.
Future railran?
Unless I missed a heavier snow drift, it seems like the snow was easily passable by a train rolling through
You scared me!
Lol, soon enough Rich, soon enough!
I miss "home" 😢
Should change your name to Utica man at this point :3 love it btw 😊
