According to the US Department of State, Hong Kong is now a Level 2 destination, meaning travelers are advised to “exercise increased caution due to the arbitrary enforcement of local laws.” If you read the full article, they make it seem like HK is in the middle of the civil war in Sudan.
Hong Kong replied that tourists and businessmen are always welcome and safe.
The funny part is that many Americans living and working in HK feel completely safe, but in the US gov travel advisory is also written "bring the passport with you at all times" or "Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" or "Prepare a contingency plan for emergency situations" or "Do not use drugs while in HK"... I mean, why would someone go to a foreign country and break the law?
If you get arrested for some law you broke, it's your fault. Do not travel. Stay at home.

Thirty percent of your earnings to the US? My thoughts are 🖕. You can bet that the US politicians who pass these insane tax laws, are putting their own money away in tax free zones (Switzerland, Grand Cayman, etc,). Considering higher prices in Hong Kong versus the mainland, one must consider that Hong Kong is an island, with most product having to be shipped or flown there. I thoroughly enjoyed your history lesson in this video. I was not aware of everything you mentioned. Now I’m a bit smarter! As for a travel advisory, I would not hesitate to visit Hong Kong or China. There are however other countries in the world I definitely would not visit. BYW, that pizza you had looked mighty delicious! Thanks for sharing this educational and interesting video Michele! 👏😁💯🏆👍

My fear is that each time the US government abuses its power, the more the anti American sentiment grows around the world, and that will eventually create WW3, if it hasn't already started!

Hong Kong is a world-class city, with excellent healthcare and infrastructure, it's a global top 3 finance hub, +70% of the territory is protected green belt, it's one of the safest cities in the world, and it will continue playing an extremely important role as a business hub for the remainder of the century. Attempts by the US regime to destabilise China and, by extent, Hong Kong, will fail.

@MichelePonte They do have the right, or they couldn't do it, and it would be illegal. Just because you feel it isn't fair doesn't define it as theft. Why should a non american be exempt from taxes on a USA source of income?

    • @MichelePonte

Do you think Apple or Google pay much taxes in Europe?
You pay taxes where you're a tax resident. America can do this cause it is still the main power in the world, but abusing it means that now other coalition are being created, for example BRICS, and the future might not be so bright @mbowman8864

Look up California homelessness yet they cleaned up the homeless & streets there just so the president
      of, china could visit...
The truth is many americans are now poor not sure if their telling
the rest of the world while china just bought land in North Carolina
