- SCP 682 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Hard to Destroy Reptile.
Dr. Bright is an anomalous SCP Foundation Researcher. He differs from his fellow scientists because of his use of SCP 963 making him effectively immortal.
In this video we explain what happens when you pin these "unkillable" entities against each other. Will SCP-682 overtake the powers that SCP-963 provide Dr Bright? Or will Dr. Bright's relationship with SCP963 prevail over SCP682 ? Watch and find out!

Again, this lizard doesn't have "regeneration" or "adaptation", he has straight up wide scale reality manipulation, and it can activate even when he's dead.
Yeah, to put it simply, his life force has a quantum lock. Even when the researches lost it using 536, his body was destroyed but he escaped the chamber and chased around members in a body in a state of quantum flux. And when introduced to the nothing in Russia, he simply affixed his life force to where it strongly felt his own existence, his own chamber.
Explain some more to me. I thought 682 was actually a being that existed beyond the mainline scp multiverse and its body that we see is a manifestation of this being, right? So while this reality bending entity exists in its sanctum it can just keep raising its physical shell to keep existing.

Um the lizard does have “regenerative capabilities” it specifically states it in the 682 article. That reality manipulation thing is likely from some cannons interpretation of 682 (which is valid given the fractured nature of the cannon) but per the original article it just regenerates

Ok, serious question to all who write for the SCP Universe:
Why keep trying to kill SCP-682 instead of pacifying it? SCP-053 canonically makes SCP-682 peaceful and actually happy, while the young Girl loves to be around it. As well SCP-682 and SCP-053 have to be be permanently isolated anyway, so its not like the young Girl would lose any freedoms. Its basically like introducing an immortal puppy to an immortal child, who cannot interact with other living beings. If you ever have to take the Girl out for tests, have SCP-999 take care of SCP-682 until you can return SCP-053 to her cell.
I know the authors want to keep SCP-682 as this big, unbeatable monster because its a fan-favorite, but I think even fictional beasts deserve to be happy.
Because 053 and 682 are both considered highly dangerous SCPs, and because of this prolonged mutual containment is deemed far too risky because if it failed there would now be two uncontained highly dangerous scps that lack proper holding cells.
@@randombrit13 I mean, what is the danger of SCP-053? She never had any violent intentions, and no attempt of containment breach, so even if SCP-682 would not be pacified and break out, that would have happened anyway at that point.
And again, according to the files the presence of SCP-053 calms SCP-682 down to a peacefull state.
I mean, in the end I get it, its made up stuff and SCP-682 is a very famous SCP just for seeing how it goes berserk and stuff, and lifes lost dont matter because, well, fictional, so pacifying it would be boring. But honestly, for any real life case, I say it would be worth a try at least, seeing how many lifes each breakout of SCP-682 takes.

I’m not sure on why 053 is deemed dangerous but so long as she is, mutual containment with 682 will never be authorised.
@@randombrit13 Basically SCP-053 is considered dangerous to be around because her anomoly causes people to want to kill anyone around you, she cant stop or control it, basically if you are around her for more than 10 Minutes, look into her eyes or touch her, you really want to kill everyone around until its only you and her, then you want to kill her, but if you try, you die. She is also immortal.
However, SCP-682 is somehow immune to her Aura, and even becomes as tame as a little puppy around her.

The last termination attempt with 3108 failed, but what if you got a D-class that never knew about the existence of 682, convince him that it's so friendly it's somehow dangerous, then have him blindfolded and with a headset that blocked every external sounds, and order him to shoot on a certain direction to hit 682 (wich would be heavily sedated and imobilized to be an easy target) with 3108 in order to make it less friendly, that would actually end up with 682 friendly

while the experiment between Dr.Bright and 682 was ultimately a failure it did give important clues as to how to handle it in extreme scenarios, a mind based attack is still something it has a hard time with and while the amulet is not the best tool for the job it does beg the question of what other mind altering or mind assaulting SCPs could be used to overpower its mental functions, this combined with any SCP or technology available to the foundation that can temporarily hault its manipulation of reality could be the key to permanently destroying its conciousness.
just imagining now, someone coming in with a crutch and a bandaged foot and another researcher is just casually like "Got Bright's name wrong?"

I know that this didn't happen in the video, but my fanon (fan canon) is that when put around 682's neck, Dr Bright's mind would make the SCP foundation so worried that some said it was "worse than an XK Class end of the world scenario" and they immediatley added to the list "Dr Bright is not allowed to be in the same room as SCP 682" and they revoked the Dr Clef things Dr Bright is not allowed to do one and then revoked that as that was an insane idea...
And the person who took the Dr Clef one off got given amnestics after the entire 05 council shouted at him and almost made them D-Class.
I always feel bad for Dr. Bright. Especially when he deals with the sobering reality of himself.

The most interesting part here is how God couldn't see 682 because "he's not one of mine". Like the universe is just a dream, and idea, and anything involuntarily injected while dreaming is invisible to the dreamer.
Even though scp-682 survived the test against dr. Bright you could have still use the time it was knocked out 36 hours you going to try the number of tests to just try to kill the maybe the state of unconsciousness could severely impaired his own ability to to adapt anything harming 682 while his body's trying to adapt to a mental takeover
Cut it up and store seperatly etc, quite a few immortals are dealt with that way....also why hasn't it been attempted??? Facepalm!!!

Technically, when Dr. Bright entered the mind of SCP-682 to take over its body, he was met with all the people that he's taken over in the past to help him take over SCP-682. Obviously they lost, SCP-682 being not only powerful physically, but also mentally, but this made me realise something; after millions and millions of years, when Dr. Bright's taken over billions and billions of people's bodies, can he try again? Since all the bodies of the people he's taken over appear to help him, after taking over the bodies of billions, he should have an army with even more people than the human race, and eventually, they should finally be able to defeat SCP-682. Just a theory I have that I kinda wanna see happen, and finally rid SCP-682 from this worls. Also, it'd be hilarious is Dr, Bright was is SCP-682's body.

Why don't they take a picture of 682 with the camera that shows your deepest desire and from there plan and figure out a way to kill it or atleast incapacitate it for good.
Once know it's deepest desire you can use it as a way to get an idea of how it can be used against him either by it giving away a weakness it has or use it as a way to bribe 683 by saying they will give it's deepest desire in exchange for information on how to destroy it

So there are 3 things we know from these videos...
1. SCP 096 is one of the SCPs that has almost completely destroyed SCP 682.
2.SCP 682 fears SCP 173.
3. SCP 096 and 173 dont effect each other since 173 doesnt have eyes and 096 is most likely blind...

maybe if you managed to get both scp 096 and 173 in front of 682 were he looks at both would the 2 of them attacking at once be enough to kill him...
Yes, i know SCP096 is terrified of 682 and that 682 can grow more eyes to keep atleast 1 on scp 73... BUT what if 682 fear of 173 is enough to give 096 the courage to fight him and if so would SCP682 be able to keep an eye on 173 while fighting 096?
Realistically this only matters if 096 attacks him but with that being said the true point of this is to see what happens if 682 takes his eyes off of 173... Because theres has to be a reason something indestructable would fear something and thats because it isnt truely indestructable

I know this is a crazy ideal, and you can probably reach them or find them, it's an ideal. If you can reach the universe of the shogun warriors and thay still exist,recruit the spacekateers to terminate scp 682. Thay are cybernetically enhanced supersoldiers designed to keep up with God level Mecha, have meter thick plot armor and are small enough to fit into scp682's cell.

I am surprised that Dr Bright didn't respond to being called SCP 963 by throwing the amulet at him.
They know the Devil’s deal can kill it, but it won’t make the deal because they can’t afford it. Maybe they should instead trade for the information on how to kill it instead of asking the devil to take it out himself.
My theory for killing 682 is to convince the entity that is technically controlling the spc universe that the joke isn't funny anymore.
The reason he seemingly cannot die is that 682 has basically plot armor, and its plot armor is also seemingly cartoon logic to some extent, the only way to kill a cartoon is to convince it that ether it would be funny if it actually died, which I don't think it's possible to do that to 682 or to convince who ever currently controls the meta narrative properties of 682 that it would be a good idea to let 682 die. Which technically does happen in a few alternate universes because 682 was dead when the scp foundation arrived I'm said alternate dimensions.

best way of killing 682 is to use scp-729-J or scp-666 1/2-J
Feed 682 a scolding hot ice cold hotpocket then make sure his pillows are warm works every time.
I opinion to beat that lizard: weaken him(paralyze it or sleep drug it from the fridge) then, take a risk of bombarding everything at the same time, forcing him to adapt while he’s weak. Then, finish it with nuclear bomb. There’s no way he can adapt that fast, that many, especially when it is in weaken state.
