    Not any cinnamon; ceylon is the one. Spinach is better sautéed because it decreases the amount of oxalates it contains and enhances the availability of its nutrients. Everything else totally agreed! I was pre diabetic and these foods helped me to regress it with added activity, two meals a day, and managing stress and sleep better.

    Hi , I went to Dr got blood work done and was told pre-diabetes. I'm doing everything I can to prevent diabetes I'm only 170 pounds I'm skinny but I think it was my diet. I decided to change what I eat and I'm definitely going to make healthy decisions. Thanks for the great information! I love avocado 🥑 😋 and broccoli 🥦 and was told no sugar peanut butter is helpful as well.

    I love pumpkin seeds. When I was growing up my friends thought my family was cuckoo. 🤪. We'd take the seeds out of the pumpkin rinse them off really good put them on a baking sheet sprinkle salt on top while they were still wet. We'd pop them in the oven at 240° until they were dried out. Yummy. Thank you for your amazing videos I look forward to the next one. 🥳

    I started mixing a "keto juice mix" I keep in the fridge to add to my water by the glass. The ACV is unnoticeable with lemon, and the other flavors just kind of meld nicely together. It needs regular stirring for the ground ginger/turmeric, but I really do like it.
    in a pint jar with lid:
    About 50/50 fresh lemon jc/ACV (we have lemon trees)
    1-2 Tbsp fresh ground ginger
    1-2 Tbsp fresh ground turmeric
    bit of ground black pepper (to activate the curcumin)
    1-2 Tbsp Cinnamon
    salt
    sweetener (stevia/allulose)
    shake or 2 of cayenne
    Last time I prepped it I added a bit of cumin, which is getting all the superfood raves. I didn't like the idea of its flavor in water, but I really couldn't taste it at all!
    Also recently hearing that turmeric needs some heating in oil to better absorb, but don't know how I would do that for this simplest to add keto mix.

    I know you are my angel today. I have been struggling with my weight since my third child. 🤦🏻‍♀️ She is 18! I have finally found a functional doctor that is helping to treat the whole patient and not just my symptoms. I have been gluten free since October and my inflammation has almost completely disappeared. Now time for the diet change. I have read many books and tried many forms of Keto.     EVOO 🙌🏻 Love Garlic as well! In fact, I love to take slices of mozzarella cheese and dip it in a tiny bowl with EVOO, minced garlic, and balsamic vinegar 🤤

    Pepitas have been my new favorite snack lately! And have you ever tried frying chunks of avocado to mimic fried potatoes? I just melt some butter in a skillet, sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper, and fry til golden brown. Yummy served alongside eggs!

    Been doing some research about cinnamon and came to a conclusion that the best cinnamon is Simply Organic Ceylon Cinnamon. And it tastes so much better!

      Greek yogurt - cottage cheese - mix in cream cheese and spread on wrap - mix with swerve and sprinkle on wraps!!

    I have type 2 diabetes and got diagnosed earlier this year. I also have stomach issues and for the most part am unable to digest raw veggies and can barely tolerate any type of olive oil. So I've switched to avocado oil which has helped. Watching this makes me feel hopeful when it comes to food.

    I eat broccoli but really dont care for the texture. I came across Gordon Ramsay's broccoli soup recipe. It's basically broccoli puree. Absolutely delicious.

    I began intermitent fasting at the beginning of February. In March I had a blood test and my blood test was fine. Last week August I had a blood test Shows I’m prediabetic now I’m on keto I don’t eat sugar how is it possible.
    When I told my family doctor in March after I had the blood test that I’m doing keto she thought it was a bad of the fat everything negative she could say about it she did. Don’t want to go by I have another blood test that comes up prediabetes now she says oh I’m glad you’re on keto ‘cause if you weren’t this could’ve been a lot worse. She flipped

      I always tell folks if labs go up - make sure you are not eating too much of a good thing (it is possible) and make sure all your fats are good omega-3 choices. Are you tracking? I would track and you can download my menu in the description box to give you some ideas :)

    My husband has been dx’d with prediabetes abd high cholesterol. Do you have a cook book or can you recommend one to this wife who is not known for her creativity in the kitchen? I am at a total loss on what to feed him and yet have it appeal to my and our adult son’s palate. 😩

      @@dietitianshelly easy is my style! I use a crock pot often and also have an air fryer unit. If someone can tell me what to fix and have a recipe that doesn’t take a long time to put together i can do it.

    Not any cinnamon, Ceylon cinnamon is the one. Cabbage fine shredded with cilantro add cooking vinegar, lemon, Evo, and salt to taste, spice it up a bit, and toss over your veggies or Mexican-style meats. I replace the tortillas with the large cabbage leaves, either raw or sauteed with butter or olive/coconut oil for my tacos.

    I was diagnosed just a few days in the new year with pre-diabetes. My number was 6.4
    I have copd, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis and am overweight.
    So, I obviously don't want any more medications. I'm willing to do anything to reverse this on my own.

    What if the person is thin framed and not trying to lose weight. Trying to take care of a family member who was just diagnosed as pre diabetic and it’s so hard to know how to shop or cook for them as is but on top of that, they are already thin and frail

    Just started this diet for pre diabetes diagnosis. Really confusing how to eat nice stuff. Iv been having two meals a day . My breakfast meal everyday is 4 egg omelette and 2 rashers of bacon do you think this is healthy? Im not sure about bacon every day

    I’m prediabetic 2points higher than the norm. But diagnosed with RA, trying to find the right diet and still the arrow keeps turning towards lowcarb/keto. I just started methotrexate yesterday. Not sure how this going to help. I feel more relief from naproxen and I know the diet change will help me heel. Don’t know if I want to continue with the medication 💊. 😩

      Hello NiYa! I strongly recommend you try to address your RA through diet and avoid NSAIDS such as naproxin or ibuprofen. Those will literally destroy your stomach and intestines.
      I knew a man who took two ibuprofen daily to address knee pain because he ran long distances. He passed out on a run from internal bleeding and awoke three days later in the ICU.
      The surgeons had to remove 50% of his stomach and eight feet of his intestines due to ulcerated rot as a result of taking ibuprofen.
      He survived but was thin as a rail, always hungry and unable to satiate this because he was lacking so much of his G. I. tract.
      Search the web for anti inflammatory foods AND search for foods that cause inflammation. Make two lists and review them until they're committed to memory. I hope this helps and cheers!

    I have colitis so I cannot eat raw vegetables or seeds. I have tried roasting the very few vegetables that I can tolerate but not a fan. Most of the way through and the only things I would use are the eggs,oil, and garlic, cabbage, cinnamon.

    9:38 well, not all of us can afford evoo for every meal. All the other cheap stuff in the groceries are diluted palm oils with a hint of olive oil. 😢

    I was just diagnosed as being pre diabetic and my doctor said to watch how much sugar, carbs and fat I eat but you're saying fat is good. I'm so confused lol

      I understand. It can get very confusing. For now, use the amazing omega-3 fats - olive oil, almonds/walnuts, avocado. If you look in the description - you can download a menu which will give you some good insight and ideas! Much love!
