- Hi everyone! I recently took a short trip outside of Seoul to catch some more autumn leaves before winter hits Korea but Namhansan had other plans for my "short easy hike." Hiking in Korea looks so fun because there usually seems to be a lot of people around! Usually when I run into someone while hiking, I assume they're *probably* serial killers.

I miss autumn and all its beautiful leaves. We have snow instead, now. But Korea looks like a gorgeous place to visit during the autumn months - hopefully I'll be able to travel there someday

I grew up in town nearby Namhan Fortress and hiked up there multiple times for a school picnic. It seemed really taking forever to get up there at that time. Thanks for brining me back memories. Now I live in L.A. lol

That was my backyard mountain last year. The speedy bus ride up and down and the mountain alone is worth the trip. And there’s a guard tower at the northern most point on the wall with great a great view of Lotte Tower and southern Seoul.
i am once again wishing my town looked like this in the fall 😩🙏 it's just barely starting to feel cool outside

I hope you continue hiking in the winter! I'm planning to revisit Seoul next Christmas -- assuming COVID is finally under control and Korea lets Americans back in. I'd love to put in some all-day hiking and your vlogs are an inspiration.

It is full blown winter where I am at, I wish I could send a picture cause it's a crazy amount of snow (about three feet). Really enjoying your fall colours that your videos have been showing as I blinked and missed fall here. Winter is beautiful, but fall is the best! Hope you are doing well and staying warm :)

@@caricakes Oh nooo! I'm used to it being super cold where I live, but not as much snow (it's usually too cold to snow this much). Takes some getting used to. Climate change is definitely a real issue. I hope Korea isn't hit too hard!
남한산성 근처에 살았어서 어릴때 가족 나들이할때마다 맨날 갔던곳인데 오랜만에 보니까 너무 반가워요😂 서울로 이사오고 나서는 거의 10년 넘게 못갔는데, 예쁜 카페도 많이 생기고 진짜 좋아졌네요 그치만 예쁜건 여전하네용!!

성 안쪽으로 포장된 좋은 길이 있는데 성 바깥쪽으로 도셨나봅니다. 고생하셨네요. ㅎㅎ 오복 순두부 저도 가본 식당이네요. 남한산성은 미세먼지없고 시야가 멀리까지 좋을때 가시는 게 최고입니다. 동남쪽 서울이 한 눈에 보이거든요.
미세먼지없는 날에 남한산성 꼭 돌아가야 돼죠 ㅠㅠ
This looks exactly like the gates/ palace in the show ‘Kingdom,’ does anyone know if they filmed that here? It’s funny, I’ve never been to Korea so to recognize something there feels really strange.
Palaces are located in Seoul. Namhansanseong is located in Gyeonggi-do (Gyeonggi Province), near Seoul. The fortress in "Kingdom" is probably different one in another city. There are many other fortresses and gates, buildings built during Chosun Dynasty throughout Korea.
Very beautiful place to visit. You are so cute to watch how much you know about all this places.

I also went to 남한산 this autumn! We also did not plan to walk all the way to the south gate, but somehow we ended up there too haha. I would actually recommend coming later, even though there are a LOT of people and the bus ride took much longer because of traffic. But when the golden hour arrived for our last trek of the hike, the fall foliage got a hundred times more beautiful. The most beautiful view I had this autumn in Korea! (Just make sure to get down before it gets dark)

우리나라의 KBS방송에 '걸어서 세계 속으로' 라는 방송프로그램이 있었는데 이 채널은 외국인 입장에서 찍는 '걸어서 한국 속으로' 같아요. 화면연출도 비슷해서 '아 외국 사람들 입장에서는 이렇게 이쁘게 보이겠구나...'싶어서 저도 모르게 묘한 감정으로 영상을 끝까지 보게 되네요. 우리나라에 오래 사는 네이티브들 입장에서는 정말 평범한 풍경들이거든요. 근데 외국분이 보고 이쁜곳들의 앵글들을 보니까 기분 묘하네요.

Gosh ... your videos are so addictive ❤❤❤ they make me feel like a tiny little part of me (why so tiny? 😅) suddenly "woke up" on the other side of the world, knelt down to pick up unusually shaped bright orange leafs (gingko?) and said to herself: "I think I am in Korea😍" ... but 🤣 I am not at all an expert in matters of international flora and fauna, so i guess, just cause they made an appearance in Cari's video... they might grow lit. anywhere else in the world, as well🤔.
