SHIP LIFE: San Jose, Guatemala | Safe or not? | Cruise Ship Adventures

As I continue with my cruise ship adventures, the Silver Nova docks for a full day in San Jose, Guatemala.
Upon disembarking the ship, immediately some of the onboard guests,
as well as the crew were telling me to "be careful"
and to not go into the city. Is this because this place is dangerous?
Or simply unknown and perhaps misunderstood?
Well, with my experiences in the past of not listening to anyone's "personal" opinion, I set out for the day to explore San Jose!
