Hi! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. We actually lived in Jersey City (and worked in NYC) for almost 4 years. Always good to hear from someone in that area.
Thank you for commenting! We’re glad you enjoyed the video. And, yes - Guatemala is AMAZING. We spent most of our time in Antigua, but we also had a couple of days in Guatemala City and loved it there as well.
We absolutely loved it - it surprised us in a really good way! The people were the best part, we were welcomed warmly. And, we’re so glad you liked the video!! Thanks for letting us know 😊
@@kineticpassports Yes most definitely amiga. Yes the people are so humble that’s why I love ❤️ Guatemala as well. Wonder if you visited Lake Atitlan also. That’s another beautiful little town I recommend, by the way the restaurant where you you guys ate roasted chicken, potatoes and salad is one of the best. Blessings amiga and we’ll wait for your wonderful videos.
@@chapinusmaximus4582 we’ll have to make it there the next time we go to Guatemala - we just didn’t have time this time around. And, thank you so much!!
Hi there, I highly recomend you to visit the capital City nowadays, you may find so many different enviroments that will leave you breathless, do not listen to others saying that there is dangerous, visit the real city, with a historic Center, Kaminal Juyu mayan ruins site, 25 zones, each it is considered big cities, nice landscapes, landmarks, Modern Cities as well, so many customs, traditions and a mixed culture, you will find plenty of surprises
We were only in Guatemala City for 1 day, and quickly realized we should have spent more time. You’re right - we read a lot online about it being “dangerous,” but talking to a lot of folks in Antigua we got a completely different perspective. The owner of the hotel we stayed in laughed at us when we asked him if it was dangerous and then asked us if NYC (where we lived for 5 years) was dangerous. We told him NYC has a lot of nice neighborhoods and others that are not as great. He said that’s exactly what Guatemala City is like - you can’t paint the whole city as dangerous because it’s so diverse. We will make sure to spend more time there when we go back to Guatemala!
Depends on what you need. We were in Guatemala for about 7 days and did not get a local SIM card. We weren't able to make calls locally, but we used WhatsApp to communicate with people locally and that seemed to work fine. We also have data roaming through our provider, T-Mobile, which took care of our internet needs when not connected to Wi-Fi. It isn't always the fastest internet, but it worked. For getting around when your internet is slow or unavailable, it's also helpful to download a map of the area on Google maps for offline use: blog.google/products/maps/google-maps-offline/ Hope that helps!
Antigua , l love it. Every time I visit Guatemala is a must stop. Walking the streets is like stepping into the past.😃

was your gopro setting at low sharpness?
I believe we shot this with our A7C Sony camera on a gimble
What equipment did you use to record?
We shot our time in Guatemala using our Sony a7c
So do we need to buy a SIM card for our phone?

Interesting enough video but there was was more of you than what there was to see and do. Rather annoying.
Thanks for watching!
