Given we only have one example of life, this planet, it’s literally impossible to say whether it’s an improbability or not. Other scientists have posited that it’s quite possible all life would evolve with the same basic characteristics because it’s the most effective way to do so. I don’t put much stock into this theory of “time travelers.” I’m leaning more towards other dimensional beings. I would also go with actual extraterrestrials over time traveling humans.
