During S.N Goenka's vipassana meditation instructions, the word 'observe' is often used to describe the action of the actual practice of meditation. This is a deep daily reminder for anyone walking the path to eradicate suffering.🙏🙏🙏

I dont have time to Go to a 10 day retreat , so i am booking a hotel for 4 days and following the Vipassana retreat scheduled to the point. Including silence food And alll Inbetween. Is that going to work ? I know how To do all the meditation already .
@@betheobserver5426i went to a hotel and followed alll tbe rules and schedule for 3 days it was very hard. It felt great but i learn to appreciate you how hard it must Of been for you guys. The 1pm-5pm block was super hard !!! The 430-630 was nice!! The 8-11 block was hard ! The last ine hour block of 6-7 was like. Plz let the hour go fast but it is the longest!!
Thank you for your curiosity and question. This is in part from the Pali Canon, Satipatthana Sutta discourse Goenka gave some time ago. There is a breakdown over the entire Sutta over an eight day period. This is a small sample from those discourses where Goenka give his rendition of the Anapana technique and how it compliments Vipassana meditation. There will be other segments on this Sutta in the future. May you be well, with lots of Metta.
Just observe .... you are on the right road . we are on the same road but the way you feel it difference then I feel it the way you look at it difference then I look at it ..... don't get stuck on it keep move on and move on . it come and go and the before you know like the light is on .....
Personally, I find that you can move just a little bit during the first three days of Anapana but get a little more disciplined each time you sit. You can also use a chair or cushion, or even sit against the wall if it helps. Eventually, it will become less painful, and as you go into Vipassana you’ll discover that the pain is simply temporary. ☺️🧘🏼♀️🙏🏼 May all beings be happy
I have full respect to Our master S N Goineka but His missted to teach below step: "'Experiencing the whole body, I shall breathe in,' thinking thus, he trains himself. 'Experiencing the whole body, I shall breathe out,' thinking thus, he trains himself. 'Calming the activity of the body, I shall breathe in,' thinking thus, he trains himself. 'Calming the activity of the body, I shall breathe out,' thinking thus, he trains himself." and Bhagwa has given a lot of important to thinking also.. So we needs to start generating postive thoguhts ...
Brother yoy don't know about technique that's why you are saying this. No positive or negative thoughts are relevant in vipashyana, you just have to observe whether positive or negative.
We were told by Goenka to observe and not react. So, both positive or negative thinking are thoughts, not observed reality and potentially reactions. Is your practice a different tradition? Or there were different methods taught by Bhagwa?

I know how
To do all the meditation already .
go to vipasanna centre and doo... nothing to do with hotel, food.
That will be more beneficial than none at all. But the 10 day retreat will be most beneficial. May you continue to practice and be successful.
