I know something about a weird marriage which is performed in Nepal in the Newari caste. In this marriage ritual a girl who is only 12 years old is married with a bel(one kind of a fruit). And after reaching 18 years old, she gets married once again with a man.

Marrying first girl to mama is a remnant of matriarchal culture. In matriarchy The first born girl is the legal heir and she's supposed to go back to her original house and take care of property and daily affairs. Some castes/tribes still follow that
