A yugioh dueling metaverse would be so rad. Imagine attending a dueling academy with your friends, riding a 5DS Duel Runner, physically having your cards on a Duel Disk- Konami could do so much with VR, It doesn't even need to be this cinematic.
They can turn this into arcade rides at exclusive parks in Japan and in major cities worldwide depending on public reception. Maybe even a website you can rent out an hour or two to duel for the time being and getting into a VR room with a duel disk and everything. That’s the dream, I would pay so much to be one of the first few people to duel with VR
You guys over estimate how many Yugioh nerds there are in this world who would publicly do these things on a regular basis for the businesses to be profitable
Most likely, this segment is part of a story mode. Most yugioh games have 'em. Besides, the interactions here feel too scripted to be anything but in a story mode setting.

Huh, I just noticed after rewatching, there's a subtle nod to the English version of the yu-gi-oh opening theme song when Atem appears. It's not quite the same, but you can tell it was inspired by it
Honestly, combo card effects are one of the coolest things the anime does, and if this happens in this game, that would be a really interesting mechanic to see in a game with many different mechanics already

I'd love to have my fave monster interact with me though.
Yeah, no, interactions like this would likely be restricted to certain card combos, triggering certain cutscenes Easter egg style. This is likely a story mode exclusive thing as well and multi-player will not have anything like this

I feel like this isn't getting that much hype because we honestly haven't seen enough gameplay and this currently just seems to good to be true. (also I doubt konami hasn't thought about making a VR game before crowncorp when the whole series is about holographic monsters and VR has been public for like a decade now)

when this finally released i would just build a 60 card deck of field spell card only and every side deck the same and just tour or be mesmerized by the surroundings

Heck he probably would’ve provided a special headset JUST for this game to both increase profits and ensure everything could work EXACTLY how we all would like it because he cared both for the game he created and for the people who played it (or it least he faked it well enough)!
