A yugioh dueling metaverse would be so rad. Imagine attending a dueling academy with your friends, riding a 5DS Duel Runner, physically having your cards on a Duel Disk- Konami could do so much with VR, It doesn't even need to be this cinematic.
They can turn this into arcade rides at exclusive parks in Japan and in major cities worldwide depending on public reception. Maybe even a website you can rent out an hour or two to duel for the time being and getting into a VR room with a duel disk and everything. That’s the dream, I would pay so much to be one of the first few people to duel with VR
Be nice if you could have a Deckmaster monster, much like in the VR arc.

Yeah, their enviornment recoloring is quite weird. Maybe since blue eyes is reflective, he's absorbing more of that coloring.

Still it looks awesome, I hope it evolves to become what VRAINS should've been.
I hope there is a story mode, because the multiplayer will be a classic "let's all use the same most powerful deck that exists at the moment"
A story mode would go so hard. Imagine taking the role of Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, etc. and playing iconic anime duels.
Most likely, this segment is part of a story mode. Most yugioh games have 'em. Besides, the interactions here feel too scripted to be anything but in a story mode setting.
I hope that they release VR on the consoles as well as the feature of the Master Duel rules
So as a PS exclusive then??? Because unless Microsoft and Nintendo make serious efforts in VR that's the only console with a VR headset at the moment.

Honestly, combo card effects are one of the coolest things the anime does, and if this happens in this game, that would be a really interesting mechanic to see in a game with many different mechanics already

Because Crowncorp was already working on a VR Duel Set long before these brainless buffoons from Konami even remotely thought of the idea in the 1st place.
@@jakeblancaster8498 an app that puts 3D models on top of a card is nothing compared to what this is advertising, this seems like its gonna be a full game that's on VR which is something that people would actually play over and over again. I feel like this isn't getting that much hype because we honestly haven't seen enough gameplay and this currently just seems to good to be true. (also I doubt konami hasn't thought about making a VR game before crowncorp when the whole series is about holographic monsters and VR has been public for like a decade now)

I’ve been waiting for yugioh vr since I was a wee chitlin
I really, really want this to be good. I think it'll have to start off super super simple though, there's no way they'd be able to make every single monster so responsive and have unique animations like that and include every single card in the game, that'd be ungodly levels of skill and dedication.
... I'd love to have my fave monster interact with me though.
Yeah, no, interactions like this would likely be restricted to certain card combos, triggering certain cutscenes Easter egg style. This is likely a story mode exclusive thing as well and multi-player will not have anything like this

@hyper_tex9834 I don't see why it can't be. Hand holding, showing the Monsters interacting, feels tutorial-like. As I said I hope we get more of that, I just highly doubt it unless the archetypes are heavily limited.

I can only assume at the moment it will be an official, not janky and high graphics of Yu-Gi-Oh! VR. Hopefully it's more than that, but if they did this kind of animation with every single monster that'd be like 100 years in the future, lol.
they would need to hire thousands of 3d animators for each department of monters, spell, and trap. department for field spells will be hell
@@excalibursama011 Yeah, I assume for now that they'd only include like the first generation of cards in the series, like GOAT format stuff, and slowly include more cards over time if they wen that route, so like, only the generic 8 field spell cards.
…..why did it take until AFTER Kazuki Takahashi was gone to make something like this?!? You think he would’ve spearheaded the development of this as soon as it was possible to do so! Heck he probably would’ve provided a special headset JUST for this game to both increase profits and ensure everything could work EXACTLY how we all would like it because he cared both for the game he created and for the people who played it (or it least he faked it well enough)!

If the headset wearer sees those out of body cutscenes, this will be a motion sickness disaster. The unmoving UI elements on the side may have a similar effect when contrasting on the moving background... really hope this changes before release
The third person shots might just be for the presentation, but I don’t think the HUD will cause any issues
