Not gonna lie, I think it was good for them! It's important to learn your traditions and do your best to preserve them, it's both a great bonding experience for the family and a way to stay close to your roots (and in case of Chenle a fun way to explore and learn about foreign customs, also a really important thing!). Now let me tell you, who pays for this all? The taxpayers. Now the taxpayers, who maybe are short on resources themselves, have to pay to accommodate the many wives. Let me tell you, respect is mutual, also if someone comes to a foreign country, they have to respect the basics of the country. Of course, keeping your own culture is important, but understanding, at least basic understanding is needed. Were not forcing muslims to take off their burka/niqab (example), because it doesn't affect us does it? Not gonna lie, I think it was good for them! It's important to learn your traditions and do your best to preserve them, it's both a great bonding experience for the family and a way to stay close to your roots (and in case of Chenle a fun way to explore and learn about foreign customs, also a really important thing!).

Bruh I was shook when they went like way down onto the floor to greet, I'm chinese and my family wouldn't even think of such a thing because we consider it really degrading. I'd only do that if I did something really bad or wanted to ask someone a huge favour, like, borrowing five hundred thousand dollars. Must've been hard for Chenle, but it's good korean culture.

I dont think that he explicitly didnt want to do that. Also if they didnt want to do all this, they wouldnt have come to the show. Respecting someone elses culture, doesnt mean you disrespect your own. Also the japanase-korean confict youre talking about: Yuta obviously shouldnt hate on japan, that doesnt make any sense, morally or generally, also not all koreans hate japan. Yuta works in korea, so he adapts korean mannerism, that makes sense, but stuff like hating on japan makes no sense.
@qυιηтεssεηтιαl qυεεη Im not doscrediting their culture. Also if they didnt want to do it, they wouldnt have come on the show or told the staffs they werent comfortable with it. How are the korean staffs expected to know they are uncomfortable if they dont say. It is part of korean culture so how should they know. For me, it looks like everyone is fine on the show, because if they are uncomfortable they have to speak out. Of course if they want to stay true to their culture, they are obviously allowed to, nobody is restricting them.
Now, taking this religion culture example. In different tribes in Africa, cannibalism is part of the culture. Are you going to respect it? (Extreme example) For me, it doesnt really matter who practices which religion/culture, since its their choice and I am not biased. Talking about respect though, In my country, a few immigrants from Syria came. There was an issue recently, because a student didnt want to shake a female teachers hand. Now, you might think, oh whatever its apart of their culture, but lets look how they both felt.
Student: they are alright, following their culture
Teacher: She felt disrespected, because she wasnt treated as a person, especially when the student would shake a male teachers hand, but not female
Or another example:
A immigrant man brought his 2 wives to our country. Now, obviously they dont have money or resources, so our state pays for their living for the time being (state=tax payers). Normally, this man would get one home, to share with his wife and children, but his two wives could not live in the same house, they needed separate apartments, as per his belief and culture/religion. Now let me tell you, who pays for this all? The taxpayers. Now the taxpayers, who maybe are short on resources themselves, have to pay to accommodate the many wives.
Let me tell you, respect is mutual, also if someone comes to a foreign country, they have to respect the basics of the country. Of course, keeping your own culture is important, but understanding, at least basic understanding is needed. Were not forcing muslims to take off their burka/niqab (example), because it doesn't affect us does it?
The last few examples are a bit radical and dont apply to this video with nct chenle and yuta, but I hope you can understand and respect my thoughts, instead of saying "people like you who discredit someone else culture, only because they live in a foreign country"

It's almost like give zues what belongs to Zeus and God what belongs to God. I attended a Catholic school even though I'm not Christian, but I went to church, followed, learned a few things and respected their religion. It is somewhat similar to chenle's case.

so im rewatching this clip and again im inlove on how jaemin can be so lovely with grandparents, they just met but you can see how close jaemin was seating beside grandma shim and you would also notice that he is really listening to her, he so good and you know korean editing skills, if you are not so well they put more exposure to make the show funny, so in short jaemin did good huhuuhuhuhu
