He is old enough to know what he's doing and it's his decision. You don't just drop dead from smoking. In my opinion she's not even cute but really overstepping boundaries and they should tell her daughter in a serious manner that it's not good. It's her behavior that is concerning to me. Not that i want to say smoking is good but it's not her place to do things like this. If someone tells her to stop eating sweets cause she could die of diabetes and hides her sweets or tells her to stop in front of her friends, she would throw a fit too. I went through what she went with my older brother and everyone thought it was normal; but now I'm 18 and I still haven't forgotten about all of it. my family is exactly the same right down to the siblings, and order. i am also Eldest child with a younger sister and brother, it never got this bad because I am a very harsh person and I let them know exactly how angry I am, but a huge factor was because my parents never favoured one of us over the other. I can tell clearly the younger two on the show are rarely disciplined, if at all, and are favoured. it also made me mad how the mother just let them solve it on their own, as if a 12, 10, and 9 year old are capable of doing that. no wonder.

My father used to be a fairly heavy smoker as many other men in my country. Although i and my brother tried to ask him quit smoking, he just could not (yet he did cut down quite a lot, and never smoke in front of our faces). My mother asked us to try to understand him since he had been stressed. It took him a few visits to the hospitals (involving surgeries) and frequent check-ups for him to finally realised the danger. He now enjoys exercising ang doing mind training, which is definitely a better and healthier choice to relieve stress. He has my mother as his training company half of the times. So I would say anyone who uses stress as an excuse for smoking and drinking, maybe it's time for you to try other healthier methods! You smoke and drink to relieve stress in order to live happy, and what you get in return is a damaged lung, stomach, liver and kidney? Sounds unbeneficial!
This episode just reminded me why I stopped watching this show 🙄 the things they find "concerning" are never harmful and just dumb day to day stuff people do but the actual harmful shit they laugh and sweet talk it. I'm only here for the little JJ screentime.

I stopped watching since last year, and I don't miss it. And yeah, compared to when Mark, Dy and Jaehyun were on the show the interactions were lacking, I feel bad but that's just the tough love of being young idols. But then again they got stuck in a weird special episode. Getting screentime in shows like this is such a tough game. I hope they get more time in shows as they get bigger because it's obvious they've definitely become much more confident and in tune to variety.

Jiwon of the 2nd concern is a living sun, a rainbow, he's so precious, he's someone everyone should have in their life. Her girlfriend is so lucky to have him, a guy like that. I feel like the world doesn't deserve him. He flies on top of everything, negative things, etc. Now it's like he lost his colors because they tried to change him. She shouldn't give importance to what people say about him. She should just enjoy every moments she spends with Jiwon because he's brightening them up. The most important is their love vs the world. He has to be himself no matter what. And yeah everything about him is not very good like he's letting himself mistreat. But still, this is the society who has to change not him.

For the second concern I don't care that he's loud and has a bright personality, it's cute. However I wish he would learn to stand up for himself and also learn when to be considerate. 1st concern: The 9-year old has a valid concern and her family should support the father quitting the cigs. It's unhealthy and bad and he's already got an anomaly showing on his exams? No question, a concern and horrible to see it treated as less. She's got a smart head, that girl. Keep your attitude towards cigarettes, sweet Nahyeon. 2nd concern: The boyfriend is sweet but I also think he's carrying a facade. He shouldn't have to change or become quieter, no need for that. But I do think the exercise of being genuine and actually /feeling/ negative emotions (like anger) is a good exercise for him and could help lower the facade he built after the bullying. 3rd concern: It always saddens me when I see sibling-fights on here (especially with young children still living at home) because the parents almost always disregard their role in the situation. What kind of thing is "she takes things sensitively and I can't do anything about that" to say? No woman, you can do everything about that. If she is more sensitive due to puberty, you tell her siblings to cut it out. Come on, you're the parent - parent your kids. And as an older child (as well) I think the whole "you're the oldest, you must be more mature" is a common thing in parenthood when you got multiple kids but it's damaging. She's 12, not 22. Let her be a kid still, there will be things she cannot do and feelings she can't understand and times where she'll need her mother. Give her that. Don't let her become "mini-mom". My father used to be a fairly heavy smoker as many other men in my country. Although i and my brother tried to ask him quit smoking, he just could not (yet he did cut down quite a lot, and never smoke in front of our faces). My mother asked us to try to understand him since he had been stressed.
It took him a few visits to the hospitals (involving surgeries) and frequent check-ups for him to finally realised the danger. He now enjoys exercising ang doing mind training, which is definitely a better and healthier choice to relieve stress. He has my mother as his training company half of the times.
So I would say anyone who uses stress as an excuse for smoking and drinking, maybe it's time for you to try other healthier methods! You smoke and drink to relieve stress in order to live happy, and what you get in return is a damaged lung, stomach, liver and kidney? Sounds unbeneficial!

@@QRQ18 ikr I used to watch this so often some cases really pissing me off the way they got brushed off but it wasn't so bad but nowadays they are just straight up dismissive. I stopped watching since last year, and I don't miss it.
And yeah, compared to when Mark, Dy and Jaehyun were on the show the interactions were lacking, I feel bad but that's just the tough love of being young idols. But then again they got stuck in a weird special episode. Getting screentime in shows like this is such a tough game.
I hope they get more time in shows as they get bigger because it's obvious they've definitely become much more confident and in tune to variety.

Jiwon of the 2nd concern is a living sun, a rainbow, he's so precious, he's someone everyone should have in their life. Her girlfriend is so lucky to have him, a guy like that. I feel like the world doesn't deserve him. He flies on top of everything, negative things, etc. Now it's like he lost his colors because they tried to change him. She shouldn't give importance to what people say about him. She should just enjoy every moments she spends with Jiwon because he's brightening them up. The most important is their love vs the world. For the second concern I don't care that he's loud and has a bright personality, it's cute.

1st concern: The 9-year old has a valid concern and her family should support the father quitting the cigs. It's unhealthy and bad and he's already got an anomaly showing on his exams? No question, a concern and horrible to see it treated as less. She's got a smart head, that girl. Keep your attitude towards cigarettes, sweet Nahyeon.
2nd concern: The boyfriend is sweet but I also think he's carrying a facade. He shouldn't have to change or become quieter, no need for that. But I do think the exercise of being genuine and actually /feeling/ negative emotions (like anger) is a good exercise for him and could help lower the facade he built after the bullying.
3rd concern: It always saddens me when I see sibling-fights on here (especially with young children still living at home) because the parents almost always disregard their role in the situation. What kind of thing is "she takes things sensitively and I can't do anything about that" to say? No woman, you can do everything about that. If she is more sensitive due to puberty, you tell her siblings to cut it out. Come on, you're the parent - parent your kids. And as an older child (as well) I think the whole "you're the oldest, you must be more mature" is a common thing in parenthood when you got multiple kids but it's damaging. She's 12, not 22. Let her be a kid still, there will be things she cannot do and feelings she can't understand and times where she'll need her mother. Give her that. Don't let her become "mini-mom". Ugh, most of these sibling-concerns concerning younger children could be changed with parenting. T_T (a rant)
