Wow, I been to this exact place about 4 weeks ago. I went to dock C to get unloaded and they rejected the load because it shifted. I went home and a week later I got the load reworked and was able to get it delivered. But I definitely remember this place.
When I drove a yard truck back in the 90’s, I had to have wheels all the way in back. I also had to do a lot of parallel parking. Now I just drive a cat793 hauling up to 300 tons of copper ore.
Dave... get a Garmin OTR 800/1000. You can literally send a dropped pin to the Garmin and it'll take you to it. It's what I've been using for OTR and now local. Look at the satellite pictures on your GPS app, make a pin, send it to the GPS. It's perfect.

Holy shit dave you was pretty much at my house lol! The neighborhood to the right of that pic you posted of the dropoff is where I live. My backyard has that big ass fence now that they put up. As kids we always would walk back in there and climb on the trains and stuff when there was no fence. Thats crazy

Some companies, have the ability (such as schneider, or variant) they don't allow for PC, or split breaks. He'd either have to call his company and get PC approved, or they just don't let him use it.
@@robertgardner4508 before our system was updated, the option for p.c. wouldn't even show up until we logged off duty and started the engine. As soon as the engine shut off it would kick us back into off duty. We had to repeat the process if we needed to pc again or else it would go straight to driving.

It seems like driving at night reduces the amount of traffic, but seems like theres a greater chance of dealing with drunk-drivers, wild-animals like deer being in the roadway, and possibly highjackings/robberies. So kinda curious if im just being paranoid Im thinking of becoming a trucker; If/When I do, im thinking (at least, as of now) of driving primarily at night. Unless the drunks/animals/robberies are too common
Prefer night, but starting off anywhere between 12am - 2am. So I get some day light in the mornings, but easy parking in the early afternoon. Usually asleep by 4pm. It's never guaranteed when you're full OTR though, but that's what I try to stay on.
Just depends. If it's a tight back, yeah trucks are worse because there's less room up front than if it was just trailers. Also a little more pressure when there's trucks because you can do a lot more damage if you back into a truck than a trailer.
