Agreed - trying to recreate internal combustion noises is like trying to reduce resolution on DVDs because you’re used to low-resolution video tapes. EVs are supposed to be the future, the next big thing. Not sure I agree with that thinking…but if you’re producing (and buying) an EV you should be looking forward, not back.
My audio was a mess on this one. My primary microphone (DJI Mic2) wasn’t working (thank you IOS 18 update…) and I had to scramble to get what I could. Have since fixed/solved the issue.
Great review. Looks like there's a lot to enjoy about it, even if I don't see myself owning one yet, at least not at that price or with the speed EV tech is advancing. I think Stla missed the mark by not offering one-pedal drive mode, though. The performance application for having it is obvious.
what 5800lbs ? thats the weight of a full size suv ! and when you drift you have half the power , man that's gonna be tough for the street takovers lol
The veggie burger of muscle cars
The fake exhaust note certainly strengthens that argument…
From Hellcat to Hellno!
Good one.
😂😂😂
Nope I'm still fighting it. Hp is good but 7K lbs? The exhaust noise is annoying. How much mileage are you losing trying to make exhaust noise?

Horsepower & Torque is crap for it being an EV, especially for its weight. Almost 6000lbs 😂
"How to Ruin an Iconic Grill"
Also, I would look into 32-bit floating point audio - basically nullifies audio clipping.

Love the design
Agree -- I think it looks good.

Good point. I’m in a Volkswagen ID. Buzz right now, and it also doesn’t have one-pedal drive. Very disappointing.
there is one pedal driving
@@OTT3RRR I could be wrong! In another review, it was mentioned it was not available. Now I’m curious.
Good looking car but i will wait for a hybrid.
That’s the better play. This one is too heavy and too pricey.
I love the looks

Maybe it's a legal safety feature. Can't go to jail if the car never slides or drifts or creates any smoke.
Too heavy it's going to wear it's self out
1020 hp for the plaid
More power…but I think the Plaid weighs even more.
No V8 i will pass
I think that will be the dominant response. Hoping the shifting political winds allow a V8 to return.
Don't like it. It's not horrible or anything but i think they could've done better with the looks
I think it looks pretty good. Not perfect, but solid effort on styling.
Not everyone wants a tesla
Agreed. And while this isn’t exactly a Tesla, it’s probably too close for most folks, and definitely too close for traditional Dodge fans.
I'm out 🤦🏿♂️!!!
Sadly for Dodge, I think that’s the dominant reaction…
