    Hi, I've bought this monitor based of your recommendation and I am very happy with this monitor so far. This is my first ever 2k monitor. Though for some reason I prefer Limited Range over Full Range colours most of the time. I feel like limited range looks more vivid/vibrant, why full range looks slightly washed up. Maybe I'm just not used to full range.

    Please tell me, are the red and green dot sights (crosshairs) on Asus monitors a little transparent, or is it a solid bright color? For example, on Gigabyte monitors using the osd sidekick you can draw a dot with a pure solid bright color, how do the asus dots compare? It is very important for me, I will be very grateful for your answer!

      Yes - pcmonitors.info/articles/best-gaming-monitors/. They're both good monitors, the ViewSonic is a bit better build in my opinion and slightly faster.

    Hi, I am torn between the samsung odyssey g3 27 and viewsonic omni vx2728. Can you tell me in your honest opinion which of the two do you prefer.

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apples and oranges. The G3 is a slow FHD VA model, the VX2728J-2K is a fast QHD IPS model. For gaming, my recommendation is clear - pcmonitors.info/articles/best-gaming-monitors/. If you're sticking with FHD then I'd consider the BenQ there or indeed the VX2728J over the Samsung, but it depends on your preferences and games you play.

      Its colour performance characteristics are covered in more detail in the full review and commented on in this video. If calibrated, it is suitable for colour-accurate work. Using our ICC profile might help as well, but calibration using your own device is always best.

    What's the difference between these monitors with the J, See a lot of VX2728-2K but also see VX2728J-2K.

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There's no "VX2728-2K" with no J. There's a "VX2780-2K" which is a completely different model.

    • @ermuuuuu
      @ermuuuuu 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The J usually just means that there are ergonomics adjustments such as height, swivel, and pivot. The non-J ones are fixed with only tilt that can be adjusted

      @PCMonitors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ermuuuuu The VX2728-2K now has a listing (wasn't there when I checked before) and does look like a tilt-only version as you say (www.viewsonic.com/global/products/lcd/VX2728-2K ).

      This ViewSonic, but it might not be available for you. I still like the BenQ EX2780Q if available and Gigabyte M27Q (Rev 1.0). MSI have a few good options as well, but price can be a bit unpredictable. This thread covers the contenders - forum.pcmonitors.info/topic/making-sense-of-the-current-27-1440p-144hz-ips-segment/.

      @@PCMonitors at how much of a price difference would you recommend the MSI MAG274QRF-QD over this? I’m stuck deciding between the 2 the viewsonic is around $200CAD cheaper rn, but plan on waiting to see if there’s any Black Friday or even Boxing Day(if patient enough) sale. I’ve seen the MSI MAG274QRF-QD ranked as a bit better than the gigabyte m27q p, so was thinking to only get it over the viewsonic if the price difference is $50-100. But what would you say?

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@kar5750 It depends if you particularly like strong vibrancy or heavily saturated colours (which the MSI provides). Or whether you need to use its generous gamut for colour work... If you don't, I wouldn't recommend paying more than ~$50 extra for the MSI or maybe even going for it at all.

    • @kar5750
      @kar5750 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@PCMonitors it’s gonna be for general use and gaming so the viewsonic should be good enough. The only concern I have is the backlight bleed as my room doesn’t get much sunlight. I’ve heard that a monitor light bar can help with backlight bleed in darker rooms, but didn’t find much from a quick google search. If you have any experience with light bars would you recommend getting one for reducing backlight bleed?

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@kar5750 I often mention the use of bias lighting (light behind the monitor) to improve perceived contrast in a darker room. It depends on your budget as to what solution would work best, I like Philips hue lighting myself.
