Thanks for sharing this, it looks delicious. I'm definitely going to try it, possibly with some raisins thrown in the cake batter. Have you tried this recipe with other fruit instead of the pumpkin? I love pumpkin, but I bet this would be incredible with peaches, or even blueberries. :)
Adding raisins sound good! I haven't made this cake with any other type of fruit. I've made a chocolate version though. I think it would be great with apple pie filling and peaches sound good too.

Hmmm 🤔 That’s actually a really good question and I hadn’t even thought about it! In theory I think it could work but I’d definitely put a sheet pan under it just in case it overflows. 😊
Oh no! The first time I tried it, I used a whole can of the pumpkin and it did that. The second time, I only used 1 cup of pumpkin and that helped a lot. It still bubbled up but not as much and I think I showed putting a pan under it in the video and that helped catch any drips but I didn’t have near as much overflow using only 1 cup of the pumpkin.
@@quickandeasybaking as far as before you watch your video you need a grocery list easier to read of all items needed. Then it'll be perfect because then you tell how much to use and how to mix.. the rest is simple. I zReallly want to try this. I love pumpkin pie but it gets old. I need this in my life

On this channel, I do tend to use more convenient ingredients to make things quick and easy but I also have another channel that is all about cake where most of the recipes there are scratch recipes. That was my first thought too!
I used a different recipe but similar and using the whole can of pumpkin doesn't work well, unless you like a pumpkin pie consistency
It should be called volcano cake. It bubbled up and dripped down the 9x13 pan into the oven.

Do you always serve it warm?
You don’t have to. It’s better warm in my opinion though. Just make sure you chill any leftovers though since it contains cream cheese.

You can make a spice cake batter from scratch if you want to.
