I had 2 No Back Up Plans that mysteriously dissapeared from my vault. I didn't accidentally shard them since I don't shard exotics and they're not on my other characters. They just vanished from my vault one day. It's a good thing they're shit otherwise I would have been upset.

Jeremy Kyle They're shit? GOOD! I made a titan a LOOOOOOONG time ago when I got no back up plans and the armentarium on my hunter, but I STUPIDLY deleted no back up plans because I knew that you could only equip one exotic, but it was stupid on my part.
If you were loading and moved them to/ from a character via the new feature for the destiny app (mobile vault), then that is why because there has been an issue with gear just failing to transfer and getting erased.
I find the glasshouse is very useful for the Atheon fight, because you really only have to step in the bubble once to have weapons for the entirety of Time's Vengeance.
Agreed. I'd have it much closer to top tier than lower tier. That last second boost of extra damage/defense has come in handy plenty of times for me. Plus, it just looks boss with the Glowhoo shader. That said, I'm ditching it for Ruin Wings as soon as I get it.
I pretty much agree with this list, except for the Helm of Inmost Light. It's personal preference of course, but I find the bonuses on the Helm are extremely useful and can be used in any situation. Datto has said that he doesn't like it because he doesn't use Striker a lot and also that he isn't very good with using the Helmet's bonuses (death from above). Bit unfair but oh well, I like it, and ik a lot of people that do too.
Keep in mind though that the grading of the exotics is also based on: that it can be used in both striker and defender, plus how useful is it on multiple scenarios. With death from above, especially in PvP, you put yourself at a great disadvantage by having to jump high into the air to get enough height to allow the travel distances for FoH. If you just had headstrong equipped and sprinted towards the enemy and jumped at the last second you will still receive ridiculous distance and speed.
Datto, this video is very useful for me, and I thank you for giving me tips on what's best for my still somewhat wimpy titan :) I would like to request the next video like this you do be for warlocks, since that's the one I, and a few other people I know, need the most. I'd love to see a updated version of this for Y2. No Backup Plans in particular now allows a shotgun kill to bring up force barrier, which makes it much easier to get it to proc.

The Glasshouse actually does have the hidden perk of illuminated, for it provides 1% increase to the bonuses that actually stacks illuminated itself, so that's right guys, 36% increase on Weapons of Light

Just realized the ruin wings ang the mk.44 stand asides ad prob helm of saint 14 would look really good together. Mostly the gauntlets and the boots tho.
For pvp this is what I find: Stand asides #1 Running around small maps with high agility and a good shotgun with more jump control = very fun and very disruptive. Armamentarium #2 Double lightening grenades is incredibly useful for control as long as you stick them to walls. Skull Fort #3 Having transfusion work off shoulder charges whilst using the perk to make super and lightening grenade damage zones last longer is great. Inmost light #4 Because sometimes you need to break a bubble or Titan smash from 100 feet away. Best for using on coordinated groups who'd otherwise smoke you on approach. Saint 14 #5 Very useful but you become Mr super target Glasshouse #6 Because you really need the right team. No backup plans #7 I just.. Don't ever use them in pvp.. Or pve. Ymmv.
I find that Ruin Wings top off my heavy ammo almost 100% of the time. I can hold 7 rockets total (with raid boots equipped) with Gjallarhorn and I normally pick up 5-6 rockets from a single heavy drop.
Mk44 is good if you are running in anomaly map, it can let you have your shoulder charge ready as you run across the map Glass house combined with bad juju is yet to be tested, with a high intellect build it have the potential of continuous damage buff (extended weapons of light make bad juju get kills faster, which recover super faster for next weapon of light)
I like using helm of inmost light in pvp because I can use aftermath and still have death from above and if you know how to work the angles death from above helps a lot and having headstrong and transfusion is nice. I mostly play control so aftermath works well on flags
I have to say warlocks can get full use out of all there exotics, they are all top tier in my eyes. Can't wait for HoW though and those void walker gloves.

Anyone else think the Mk. 44 Stand Asides need a buff? In my opinion I think bungie should keep the current bonus of shoulder charge lasting longer, and then add that shoulder charge readies faster and the boots should give you shoulder charge so you could run most likely juggernaut as well. Adding these perks would really make them a top tier exotic in pvp in my opinion.
Stopped watching after he said that Helm of Inmost Light was bottom tier. If you think that, then you aren't using it right. The ability to death from above in conjuction with Shockwave or Aftermath is devasting in PvP and PvE. It essentially allows the Titan to Super from a safe distance to almost anywhere. It should be on par with Helm of Saint-14 the only difference being one is for Striker, the other Defender.

I have the No Backup Plans and personally don't want to give them up because I think they look amazing and I've gotten my other armor pieces and an armor shader to match the purple. I have the Helm of Saint 14 but don't want to switch because then everything that I've done with my other armor pieces and armor shader would then render useless.
Ruin wings my standard Exotic piece of armour for PvP. For a striker, I can increase my crowd controll abilities on a very high level. They basicly are like having a second super. As a defender, I can compensate my lack of destruction with these things and my abilities as a supporter Titan are also increased significantly, especially with the perk that lets you create orbs of light when killing things with a heavy weapon. Allthough the ruin wings won't always drop ammo when you need it, it sure as hell doubles the amount of ammo that you find in an ammo box. finding 4-5 rockets in one package is standard! The Helm of Saint. 14 make you the ultimate defence and the ruin wings the ultimate killing machine. they are both a must have for titans.
I totally agree with you as I use saint-14 99% of the time as well. But having an extra 5 seconds on 34 POE bosses with trickle or lightswitch can make a difference. I used it last night on 34 and 35 POE
I disagree with you about Inmost Light, I don't believe this is a bottom tier helm... The helm granting death from above allows you to take the 'Aftermath' perk and allows you to close the gap quickly while being very hard to hit due to the speed at which move using death from above and allowing the crowd control aspect. Anyway, just my thoughts.
You should try to do reviews on the new exo tics like the purifier robes. I have them but am not sure if I should level them up. Mainly I only use radiance for the fire born perk
Why are you dissing on the Strength-Based armor? All the bottom-tier items you've listed are all items I've found very useful as a Striker Titan. The Mk.44 Stand Asides are actually very useful if you're in PVP, the extra three seconds could help you get a clean kill, and I've found that my shoulder charge runs out just before hitting an enemy without them. The Insurmountable Skullfort, while useless in PVP, is a decent helm for PVE. The Enhanced Transfuion perk lets you easily heal off of thralls or dregs, while also freeing up a perk slot in the striker tree, allowing you to pick headstrong or aftershocks And of course, The Helm of Inmost Light is useful in almost any situation. The headstrong and death from above get you to your target(s) quicker and let you precisely aim where to land as not to waste your super, as well as freeing up two perks in the skill tree to put into shock wave or aftermath, and transfusion or aftershocks. In conclusion, you probably just suck at striker titan and are just salty about it.
Well Eternal warrior was a HoW exotic and this video was made 2 months before HoW dropped therefore he didn't know about it and couldn't put it in the list
Just to let you guys know I discovered how to make ruin wings twice as effective, and no it is not the "heavy ammo glitch", however you can combo it with this to produce enough heavy ammo to sink a small fleet. If you equip ruin wings and a heavy weapon with the surplus perk, the surplus and seeds of ruin perks stack together, so every heavy ammo drop will give you between 90% to 100% of your heavy ammo capacity, it also makes drops ridiculously common. During a run of Crota's end there was this one time when I killed one thrall and 3, yes 3 heavy ammo drops exploded from his chest, and each of them gave me all my heavy ammo back. I can hear it already "but then you can't use your best heavy weapon" guess what, you can, when ever the ammo drops into the game world the content of the drop become guaranteed so with this combo of perks you can kill until the drop happens then change the heavy weapon to Gjallarhorn and then pick up the drop and it will give you between 6 and 7 rockets. If you don't get a wild roll with surplus on a heavy weapon, I would direct you to dead orbit as they sell a Deviant-Gravity A with the surplus perk as a guarantee. NOW GO FORTH AND TEAR THE WORLD ASUNDER!!!!
I beg to differ about the crest of alpha lupi I find it super useful like he says in a lot of videos it just depends on your playing style. For example, I play support so alpha lupi, defender, and very reserved attacks so that chest plate has saved my whole fire team on multiple occasions.
As a striker titan with armumentarium I threw two lightning grenades at a pack of wolves boss on either side of him and it knocked him strait off the edge
The crest of alpha lupi isn't low tier for Crota hard.....you spawn more orbs which helps your teammates heal and get supers. All you have to do is switch back to skullfort.
Shoulder charge being somewhat used in pvp, lol. Certain exotics where created for it to be more solely used in pvp. You should review as whether they were designed for pve or pvp.
I disagree about Helm of Inmost Light. The combination of shockwave, death from above, and unstoppable make fist of havoc one of the most devastating lethal supers around in PVP. When paired with a Bad Juju, the versatility that the helm brings you and the frequency at which you can use your super makes it rival Armamentarium. Obviously IMO.
I disagree with inmost light being worst then skull because light gives you two bonuses and I'm pretty sure one of them is in the same selection as the main bonus skull as and which if you need transfusion you can get it from inmost light as well as skull you just select it from sub class the only diff is that in most gives you death from above so you can stack another ability

Ethan Goldstein What a shame, Xur was selling the Helm of Inmost Light last weekend. I bought it instead of The Last Word, because I don't play much PvP. My guess is that Xur won't sell it again last weekend. I'm still using the Skullfort because I need another 27 helium filaments to max out the defense, and if I equip the Inmost Light right now, my level will be demoted to 30.
I've just got my Titan to level 29 and as today is Xur day I thought i'd buy him an exotic. Which would be a good starting exotic? I've never used a Titan so I'm new to this :p
First off, I recommend using Defender. But for Striker, you can use an exotic specific to Striker of one that is neutral. Subclass Neutral: Ruin Wings. Subclass Striker: Helm of Inmost Light.
Do you realize that pretty much every exotic armor piece come with different strenght/intellect/ discipline stat rolls? It doesn't make sense to say an armorpiece is worse because it has strenght on it, as its completely random.
i use the crest of alpha lupi the most. it is almost a must for the nightfall. ruin wings and skullfort are the next in line for me. the extra grenade from the armamentarium isn't that helpful to me, i don't play pvp. and st 14 is very situational. the others i agree are kind of lackluster. if you pretty much only play the raids and pvp i can see not using the crest, but it is useful in a lot of ways in roc strikes and heroic and nighfalls, not just for reviving, but for extra orbs.
I used the ruin wings in a pvp game once and picked up some heavy ammo and just got 2 rockets. That is the regular amount so I don´t know if they work in pvp.
I don't agree with your review on the stand asides, i pve yes they are terrible but in pvp whenever I put on my felwinters lie I use them also, as well as maxing agility. The combination of the increased shoulder charge with a shotgun is amazing. For that reason they should be in the mid-tier for their pvp utility.
The best Titan exotics are The Armamentarium for PvP and for PvE Helm of Saint -14 :D Best ones for sure.

Yeah but having more heavy ammo does overall more DPS with an MG or Rocket and the grenades are great for supplicants

The reason I like no backup plans is cause it's fun, making a lot of orbs just meleeing things for fast strikes for exotic bounties and stuff

Well Eternal warrior was a HoW exotic and this video was made 2 months before HoW dropped therefore he didn't know about it and couldn't put it in the list

I think the Helm of Inmost light is good... It allows for you to use another titan super "add-on" like Shockwave and the one with AoE which is awesome

Just to let you guys know I discovered how to make ruin wings twice as effective, and no it is not the "heavy ammo glitch", however you can combo it with this to produce enough heavy ammo to sink a small fleet. If you equip ruin wings and a heavy weapon with the surplus perk, the surplus and seeds of ruin perks stack together, so every heavy ammo drop will give you between 90% to 100% of your heavy ammo capacity, it also makes drops ridiculously common. During a run of Crota's end there was this one time when I killed one thrall and 3, yes 3 heavy ammo drops exploded from his chest, and each of them gave me all my heavy ammo back. I can hear it already "but then you can't use your best heavy weapon" guess what, you can, when ever the ammo drops into the game world the content of the drop become guaranteed so with this combo of perks you can kill until the drop happens then change the heavy weapon to Gjallarhorn and then pick up the drop and it will give you between 6 and 7 rockets. If you don't get a wild roll with surplus on a heavy weapon, I would direct you to dead orbit as they sell a Deviant-Gravity A with the surplus perk as a guarantee. NOW GO FORTH AND TEAR THE WORLD ASUNDER!!!!

Non-specialized, but if you want to use a Subclass Striker piece of armor, use Inmost Light.
I don't know about you, but I love MK.44 Stand Asides. I love using Shoulder Charge and love the look of it. Goes very well with Sunsetting. Just me?

I beg to differ about the crest of alpha lupi I find it super useful like he says in a lot of videos it just depends on your playing style. For example, I play support so alpha lupi, defender, and very reserved attacks so that chest plate has saved my whole fire team on multiple occasions.

You can only equip 1 exotic at a time like you can only have 1 exotic gun and 1 exotic armour at the time unless its an exotic class item

Crest of Alpha lipid should be higher tier mainly for its use in trials of Osiris and nightfall raids.
I have all exotic gear for Warlock and Hunter. I'm just missing the two chest pieces for the Titan. I really want the extra grenade one.
I love no backup plans it was my first ever exotic item and they are amazing still to this day
In my opinion the armamentarium was graded to high since the raid boots this time around has the heavy ammo modifier and they don't stack.
Now I'm glad I got Helm of Saint in those exotic engrams from Xur even though I'm a Hunter right now.
As a striker titan with armumentarium I threw two lightning grenades at a pack of wolves boss on either side of him and it knocked him strait off the edge
Helm of inmost light is awesome for pvp since regular fist of havoc sucks. If you are on the ground you can quickly use your fist of havoc

The crest of alpha lupi isn't low tier for Crota hard.....you spawn more orbs which helps your teammates heal and get supers. All you have to do is switch back to skullfort.

Shoulder charge being somewhat used in pvp, lol. Certain exotics where created for it to be more solely used in pvp. You should review as whether they were designed for pve or pvp.
I disagree about Helm of Inmost Light. The combination of shockwave, death from above, and unstoppable make fist of havoc one of the most devastating lethal supers around in PVP. When paired with a Bad Juju, the versatility that the helm brings you and the frequency at which you can use your super makes it rival Armamentarium. Obviously IMO.
I disagree with inmost light being worst then skull because light gives you two bonuses and I'm pretty sure one of them is in the same selection as the main bonus skull as and which if you need transfusion you can get it from inmost light as well as skull you just select it from sub class the only diff is that in most gives you death from above so you can stack another ability

I don't mind An Insurmountable Skullfort that much. It doesn't cause any problems, but it also doesn't do much either. So I may replace it if I ever get a different Light Level 36 helmet.I probably should've bought the Armamentarium when Xur was selling it last week, but I chose to spend my 36 strange coins on SUROS Regime and an Exotic shard, since SUROS Regime is the only auto rifle worth using at this point.
DaTechnoDood LevelX Im in the same position, my only exotic armor is an Insurmountable Skullfort. If Xur is selling the Helm of inmost light next week, then im gonna replace it with that.
Ethan Goldstein What a shame, Xur was selling the Helm of Inmost Light last weekend. I bought it instead of The Last Word, because I don't play much PvP.
My guess is that Xur won't sell it again last weekend.
I'm still using the Skullfort because I need another 27 helium filaments to max out the defense, and if I equip the Inmost Light right now, my level will be demoted to 30.
What is better for PvE, Ruin Wings or Helm of Saint-14?
I would say Ruin Wings are more versatile, however both are must owns for any titan.
Well, Helm of Saint is specific for Defender obviously but I would still choose that over the ruin wings in my opinion

I've just got my Titan to level 29 and as today is Xur day I thought i'd buy him an exotic. Which would be a good starting exotic? I've never used a Titan so I'm new to this :p

First off, I recommend using Defender.
But for Striker, you can use an exotic specific to Striker of one that is neutral.
Subclass Neutral: Ruin Wings.
Subclass Striker: Helm of Inmost Light.
Do you realize that pretty much every exotic armor piece come with different strenght/intellect/ discipline stat rolls? It doesn't make sense to say an armorpiece is worse because it has strenght on it, as its completely random.
Nah exotics have the same stat no matter what.
It might be more or less but no matter what it'll always be intellect ect

i use the crest of alpha lupi the most. it is almost a must for the nightfall. ruin wings and skullfort are the next in line for me. the extra grenade from the armamentarium isn't that helpful to me, i don't play pvp. and st 14 is very situational. the others i agree are kind of lackluster. if you pretty much only play the raids and pvp i can see not using the crest, but it is useful in a lot of ways in roc strikes and heroic and nighfalls, not just for reviving, but for extra orbs.
I used the ruin wings in a pvp game once and picked up some heavy ammo and just got 2 rockets. That is the regular amount so I don´t know if they work in pvp.
I don't agree with your review on the stand asides, i pve yes they are terrible but in pvp whenever I put on my felwinters lie I use them also, as well as maxing agility. The combination of the increased shoulder charge with a shotgun is amazing. For that reason they should be in the mid-tier for their pvp utility.
I see Titans and warlocks in the hunter's vid saying that we cry over an exotic... I wish I hadn't taken a look in their vids about exotic armor
