    Ali was truly the greatest. He was knocked down but came back like only he can.

      How so? Rocky Marciano is the Heavyweight who retired Undefeated at 49 & 0. He always came Forward as well, never playing the running game.

    Never will understand the whole “Clay Is The Greatest” when Rocky retired at 49 and 0. He also never played the running game but always came forward.

      i can understand both clay/ali fought super super great opponents and beat them more than rocky fought but rock fought joe louis and charles and walcot and other guys and still went undefeated both men are gods

    At the time of this fight, Sonny Banks was just 13 years old. In only 5 more years, Sonny would go on to become World Champion. As an aside, I've always wondered what ever become of that other fighter.

    Controversial stoppage he was being pummeled the previous round but did not appear to be in trouble at this point Bank’s. Doug Jones beat Clay on the way up but like later fights he got the decision based on his prestige like a lot of fights politics come into play. The first Louis Walcott fight is a good example of that and was ahead in the second fight when the brown bomber did what his name implied so it’s styles that make fights and condition of the boxer physically.

    Could have paid better attention minus the irritating choice to add a song that listening to assists to disturbing the ability to rationally assess the fighters pros & cons.

      You are correct he was only a shadow of himself after the shooting and Liston was suffering from arthritis or bursitis in the first fight and that usually only happens to men around forty years old not thirty years old like he was supposed to be.! Doug Jones really beat him on the way up but was robbed because Clay was the shooting star and an Olympic champion to boot.

      @clevelandwilliams5922 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DavidJsmith-dk5tf Ali wouldn’t stand a chance if he caught him with his pulp wood punch. The only way for Ali to be remotely successful against a pre .357 shooting Williams was to stick and move.
      What you see in their title fight, Ali couldn’t even keep Williams at bay with his jab & Williams was actually keeping Ali on his toes. It was the fact Ali was able to hit Williams with good combinations that he was able to get out of sticky situation.

      I dont understand what u mean. Ali is the greatest. I to have studied him.and have found it to be true. Unlike many heavies in history he found a way to win the big fights that define a champion
      Fights like young or other's that made him look bad dont always count cuz thats life. But when the money was on the line Ali was a champ like no ther. But i respect yo opinion...because every boxer aint for everybody. Peace.
