You simply don't own four Crop Rotations, so you only run two. You throw in the one Uro you own 'caus it's a bomb. That sort of thing. Really fun league to watch!
Love me a yorion pile! Out of curiosity would it have been better if you grabbed savannah to set up meddling mage in round 2 since you had sea in hand? That way you can also loam after. Or does Boseiju barely have text against reanimator?
Without reviewing the spot specifically, im willing to believe I fetches suboptimally more than once this league. Boseiju isn’t completely textless due to animate dead, but its close

I have a little strange question. My opponent attacks with an unblockable kappa, I cast dress down, than I block with baleful strix, then I remove my own dress down. Is the kappa now blocked and dead?
potential out in round 4 game1 to the Emrakul was mox diamond off the top for your sudden edict. Of course, you would still have to rebuild under an omniscience
At 58:20, wouldn't it make sense to hold back the mox diamond so you put an etb trigger in off show and tell, then destroy omniscience before they have priority to cast anything?
Mox Diamond actually doesn't have an ETB. It's an "as it enters the battlefield" ability so you if you don't discard a land "as it's entering" it just goes right to the bin
They’re so low to the ground and have acceleration with petals and rituals it seems really hard to pinch them on mana. I’m game 1 they won off of 2 basic swamps and 2 lotus petals, maybe it’s better to just put wasteland back in the deck and increase the chance of casting the spells you draw?
I swear people need to start looking at Island of Wak Wak in Lands decks, and decks like this in general. That absolutely HOSES Murktide matches, and it shits on Marit Lage. If you're a toolbox deck as is for lands, it would make sense to at least try. Are there matches that it sucks ass? Yeah, but Legacy is a lot of flying beaters right now, and it can be discarded to Mox Diamond. It's also a land with Urborg or Yavimaya.
@@TheEternalVortex42 I guess it does make Murktide smaller, but I wasn't accounting for the counters it gets, sadly. I always have a tendency to overlook small things like that.

Maze can remove from combat, but Wak Wak makes power 0 so it can be used in Bant and GW Depths to knock power down to nothing for Plow against Marit Lage at best. I was thinking about it, and Murktide still gets counters. It's just an x/x - 3, so it wouldn't be great.
@@DarkestFiction Against depths, you probably want to be aiming plows at reclaimer or knight earlier in the game to prevent Marit Lage from being generated. Karakas is better at dealing with Marit Lage than either Maze or Wak Wak.
What would be a good archetype that works across all 60 card formats assuming you just switch out cards that aren’t legal and/or are just way too weak in the format? It seems like something centered around murktide regent works in formats where that card is legal but then it transitions into something like arclight phoenix in pioneer but for standard? I don’t even know. Is there anything else like this? Also anything based on Omnath seems to be good in pioneer, modern, and legacy but what about standard where the card pool is just crap and what about vintage? Would Omnath even work in vintage?

I asked because at some point if I’m able to play all of those formats it would sometimes make sense to have a base deck for budget reasons where you might jam in ancestral recall, moxen, black lotus, etc, etc in vintage and something like legacy delver with or without the namesake card and then izzet murktide in modern and then maybe it’s not really the same deck anymore when it turns into arclight pheonix in pioneer. But if I’m doing that for vintage it would probably be a tournament that doesn’t require me to actually own ancestral recall and black lotus or the whole idea of doing it for budget reasons is out the window.

1st game: knight and maze compliment each other pretty well, maze lets you attack and tutor with knight on the same turn cycle.
At 8 minutes. You can play Maze of Ith as your land for turn if you want, and start attracting with KotR and mazing it post damage for its effect.

Diamond is a replacement effect, not a trigger. You cant use it to “lotus petal” if you don’t have a land to discard

22:00 - why are you getting rid of the wasteland? you've plenty of G sources already and there are lots of good targets for it in reanimator I think

Yeah, Izzet tempo is great in Vintage, Legacy, and Modern adjusting for their card pools
