Had one delivered and set up for total price of $78,000 recently. It is an impressive box that is now furnished and ready for the renter to show up in another week and half but the price is a bit much in my opinion.
No...The price increase is due to inflation. To expect the price to stay the same while everything stays the same is ridiculous. I even thought about this. Like "Are they still 50K while everything else is going up?" Then indeed I did hear it went up which doesn't surprise me.

DR Horton invested and bought order for 100 so the biggest builder in the country see something in them. They will also help on east coast and with financing. So the Boxable is now a BARGAIN compared to when I got in on the stock offering in 2022 and it was 50,000 per box. In NJ figure 200,000 for a below minimum build lot (400,000 for a minimum build) for the land, then the boxables. The keep placing orders and we'll keep estimating when is a business model that's been around for years...Saberforge and Custom Saber Shop, they take an order for like 1000 parts and wait till they get to 1000, then they do one quick run and build all the pieces in succession, then they put them back on the web page as in stock.
I mean the biggest complaints I've seen is the price which if you look at the house market it's wild asf so this is actually a bargain in Colorado they are charging almost a million for a house that's the same size
I think your points are good, and also known and pointed out by the ceo. IF they make their goals and keep scaling the factory as planned it should drive costs back down. tech plans, on the list are close to your suggestions too. Looking at the factory I think their long term plans are doable, the simple math of units per day(s) is not great, but as we see with even factories in wwii crank units out per day and it gets better. Admittedly I'm a fan of what they are shooting for and I want them to succeed but that don't mean they will. I think if they solve these probs before the market loses intrest, maybe start getting early models out, bc the tiny Homer's snatched em up, to keep feeding the factory growth needed...well I'm crossing my fingers.
I doubt the bedroom or living room module will cost the same as a full casita that has a kitchen, a bathroom and bedroom. So if you order 2 additionals rooms, they should be a lot cheaper than the loaded 60k version.
Are they really waterproof, draft proof, bug proof? The wall joints seem very open. Even caulking isn't going to fill those gaps like tightening them up would. Just curious because I could see how a Boxabl could be a quick way to get a home onto a small pad, and then follow it up with more Boxabl or whatnot to build out a bigger home. With maybe $60k for some land, and $50k for the Boxabl, another 20 to 50k for labor, utility hookups, the whole thing would be brand new and still cheaper than most mobile home setups.
$78k delivered and set up. Delivery distance was approximately 450 miles. The unit is quite weather proof let alone very well insulated, better than any 3 of the homes I've owned. I was quite skeptical about the unit when the owner of the property I manage (RV park) informed me of it's delivery when it was in route. I continued my skeptical opinion when the truck showed up with the box on the trailer as they lifted it off, placed it on the structure created and watched then open it. I found it humorous almost thinking "this box is going to be something for someone to live in?" Now the set up is complete, the owner furnished it, built a nice deck on the face of it and, here in the Arizona desert I am quite impressed during the near 100 deg days the ability of it's insulation and the single split AC unit keeping it at a nearly too cool temperature inside. I went from "laughing at it" to respecting the quality of the build. The renters will be here for a long term rental soon. It's actually a very well built unit. (surprisingly ! )
This home really not intended to be a micro house if you take a closer look, the space is divided in half. It's more set up to be a ADU/rental, there's only one wall available if you want to add wardrobe.
Since you want to buy a boxable home, have you spoke with the owners about the concerns that you are mentioning on your video. I this the seller should be aware that the public is aware of what they are doing.
You're absolutely right in order for them to justify these prices they've got to make it so that like I said order for filtration solar power for tradition handicap accessible to get in with a wheelchair a separate room so that a person with who's disabled or add you can have a private room and what is these houses normally go I mean listen I live in Detroit and if I had that much open space trust and believe somebody going what security do I have other than the fence around my they've got to have more towards justify the price they got

They do talk about land cost and do say hook ups are required as well as land prep.

great insite as a boxabl fan it hurts to see issues arise but I still live in reality.
