@@DelusionalInsider Remember when they went back to earth and Michael came with them i remember a bar scene. Don't remember what happen but I think that's what they're referring too in my opinion.
My friend put it perfectly - a Michael on Earth spinoff would be like the early Mork and Mindy, where at the end Mork reported to Work what he learned...🤮
It makes perfect sense since the very beginning Michael wanted to be with the humans and torture them using a closer approach. And he learned to love humans little by little
Nah, that was a weakness for me. Michael is an immortal being who saw humans for the greedy little selfish scum they were. It's like science fiction when these super robots want to be human - why? You're perfect, and you feel no pain. It's illogical - we're just so narcissistic.
I love that by the end of the series they all got what they wanted and became who they pretended to be. Eleanor became a humanitarian that changed the Good Place point system. Chidi became an excellent teacher because of his decisiveness. Tahani became an architect and helped people. Jason became closer to a monk. Michael guided the humans to get to the Good Place and he became human.
What a good ending, made me tear up (Not that this means anything, everything makes me tear up) how each character passed through the door at different times, and the whole episode was a countdown of the ending, with Jason first, Tahani second, Chidi third and Eleanor the fourth, it was so well structured
Mr Frog Man really had the best life changes he was content being the doorkeeper, but now he gets little gifts of his favourite thing in the universe, meets new people and last but not least Mr Jumpylegs to join him. So happy for that guy get it dude
If you go back to season 1's episode of Michael's retirement party (even though we know it's fake now), almost all the human things that Michael said he wanted to try before retiring, he did by this episode, including "having a brief conversation with someone and saying- take it sleazy!" And That's how it ended, Man, I love the little details in the writing of this show!
Fire squid season 4 during the experiment there was a micheal problem and he admitted he was a fire squid only way to prove he wasnt a lie also evil janet was janet at the time.
Well there’s really no judging now, they just take the test over and over again. I’m curious how he will be when he dies though?? Will his soul be human or a fire squid??
I mean considering the (initial) humans of the soul squad were allowed entrance into the real good place for restructuring the after life I wonder if Michael will need to take a test at all
"I set up a bank account for you. There's enough money in there so that you don't starve, but not so much that you become an entitled jerk" is my favorite line of this scene LOL

After seeing this video I said myself come-on man you already went through this, it's just rewatching bye after going through comments I was like nope, I can't do this.
Considering that Janet lives in EVERY moment at the same time, she literally has no reason to be upset, but I get the meaning of the scene x) The weird part is she mentioning Shawn having the possibility to create a new system, does she know something that she doesn't want to reveal? 🤔
Jegcopo Flynn-Simpson the reason that she is upset is because she can't know the future and and doesnt know what will happen to michael. She didnt cry about jason because she knows he is content with is life and ended his journey like that.
She isn’t upset just because he won’t be there anymore but also cause now he’s on it’s own, she won’t be there to take care of him whenever he needs something.

from the "this will not affect me in any way" janet of season 1 to 2:47.....our beautiful not-a-robot not-a-girl has come so far, just like the rest of them. excuse me i am feeling Emotions
I've just noticed that Eleanor's first few sentences here are matching the reveal in the first season. Man, I love the writing.
Michael: I’m gonna be...
Eleanor: A real boy, Pinocchio
😂😂😂
I just realized that Eleanor’s first lines here are the same as when she realized it was the bad place. TheEaster eggs don’t stop coming....
The end of this show was brilliant. When they go the the door, they become one last good deed. Or they convince someone on earth to do the right thing. So dope
So very missionary.
We've set you up with a new identity: You own a bar in Boston...
toddsmitts oh my gosh 😂😂😂 would've been such an amazing plot-twist
hahaha I just got done commenting something very similar. That would have been really funny!
OMG OMG 😲😲😲 That would have been friggin EPIC!! Possibly the greatest ending to any show EVER!!!
Wait why?
I dont get this reference sadly.. if someone would be kind enough to tell me? Lol
@@DelusionalInsider Remember when they went back to earth and Michael came with them i remember a bar scene. Don't remember what happen but I think that's what they're referring too in my opinion.
“It’s a dry heat” that was almost aggressively human! We need a spin-off
At the very least he needs to Cameo in B99
I actually think that the finality of this finale makes it so satisfying. I think the show doesnt need to continue
My friend put it perfectly - a Michael on Earth spinoff would be like the early Mork and Mindy, where at the end Mork reported to Work what he learned...🤮
A three word message to a truly amazing show "take it sleazy" as Michael said, everything is fine
@@lenawagenfuehr53 How... did you watch an entire four seasons of well-thought-out, well-executed tv gold and *fully miss the point it conveyed?*
@@rachelfox8108 😂😂😂
@@lenawagenfuehr53lol you really really don't get it, do you... 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Made it through everyone else leaving, even the wave speech, but this took me down and couldn't hold back the tears. Simply fantastic storytelling.
Yup. This one killed me too. I was a sloppy mess watching Michael & Janet's goodbye.
I cried for Janet, I know she can relive every moment, but she deserves the world!! Shes such a mom in the end and its so cute 😭❤️❤️😭😭 😭❤️😭❤️
“I’ll see you when I get back.” Oh man
Yeah, that was the one hitch to what Eleanor says about "who knows, maybe Sean will do a coup". Janet knows!
What a good ending, made me tear up (Not that this means anything, everything makes me tear up) how each character passed through the door at different times, and the whole episode was a countdown of the ending, with Jason first, Tahani second, Chidi third and Eleanor the fourth, it was so well structured
1:04 OMG, he does exactly that later on! There are sooo many little connections in this episode. So perfect. So forking perfect.
Janet's voice break when she said "okay" killed me. T_T
Michael’s dog is named Jason.
*im not crying, you’re crying*
*Eleanor's speech at the beginning mirrors the one when she first realizes they were in the bad place*
I thought Michael was gonna turn into a baby
Same😂
Hahah yes
Janet's little "ok" was sooooo heartbreaking!
2:48 Janet subtly expressing human emotion. *I'm not crying.
The ending was so appropriate and well done.
Michael needs a spin-off. Ted Danson could easily carry it. ❤️
Yeah
This scene absolutely DESTROYED me. 😯😢😢 D'arcy is utterly brilliant in portraying a NOTgirl that has evolved to feel human emotion. I. Was. Sobbing.
She was robbed! Give her the Emmy!
I don't think it's possible not to cry at this scene
This show makes me cry 😭
love this ending for Michael and I never expected it 😌
thank you mike schur for this show
Michael: *" I won't exactly know what's going to happen after I die. Nothing more human than that. "*
T A T DAMN MAN IMMA CRY AT DIS SCENE AGAIN
I love the subtle callback with the cacti.
this show was one of a kind. gonna miss them so much
Mr Frog Man really had the best life changes he was content being the doorkeeper, but now he gets little gifts of his favourite thing in the universe, meets new people and last but not least Mr Jumpylegs to join him.
Will they just judge him on what he did as a human, or also as he was a fire squid?
I guess just as a human, but considering this new system has been created, who can tell? x) It's up to Tahani, the Judge and others anyway
I mean considering the (initial) humans of the soul squad were allowed entrance into the real good place for restructuring the after life I wonder if Michael will need to take a test at all
He helped in saving the universe, I think he’d get a free pass
That quiet "okay" from Janet.
Oh. My. Word.
"I set up a bank account for you. There's enough money in there so that you don't starve, but not so much that you become an entitled jerk" is my favorite line of this scene LOL
From the bottom of our hearts, take it sleezy Good Place...
I won't lie when I saw this scene it really made me cry so much
I already cried my eyes out when this aired and then you post this? WHYYYYY.
😭
That scene where Janet was with michel before he left got me so emotional 😭💓 so sad
Ted Danson was an absolute treasure in this role. "Oh Eleanor!! Oh my gosh!" Excellent delivery.
WHY DID THIS SHOW END. I WAS CRYING HALF DAY
Why I keep rewatching those just to cry again...
I miss this series. Even though I watched it several times, I just remember watching it for the first time. Such good script writing.
god my heart…so full. This is the best ending of a show I’ve ever seen, and I loved watching these characters grow and change, especially Michael.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! Janet’s progression is one of my favorite pieces of character work in any medium. She is so brilliant.
At the end Michael was living in a building with the number 12358 and in the flat 322. The name of the project for the first Good Place was called 12358-W and the numbers of residents in the neighbour was 322.
Yet another Easter Egg. Shades of THX-1138.
Janet’s “ok” at 2:47 I’m cryyyyyy
Perfect ending for a perfect show that shouldn't allow to end.😭😭😭
im glad they gave the perfect ending for each one of them. there will never be any other show like this.
This show had some of the best character development that I have ever seen.
The Good Place always has the best ending to a tv show. Every single character has their own arc fleshed out at the end.
This show had one of the most satisfying endings ever. It was both sad, peaceful, and tied up all the loose ends. Everyone got their closure.
“I’ve got the perfect name for him - My Jumpy Legs” Oh poor Michael 🐸🐸
Brilliant scene in every way
The real frog was a wonderfully light, yet poignant, touch
Loved this show
I cried throughout the last episode, both happy and sad tears
After seeing this video I said myself come-on man you already went through this, it's just rewatching bye after going through comments I was like nope, I can't do this.
this finale I swear and all the care that went into every minute '( beautiful
“I’m...I’m gonna be...?”
“A real boy, Pinocchio”
This line is so sweet
Greatest ending of any show I've finished, I love this show so much
the absolute best moment in the show
Considering that Janet lives in EVERY moment at the same time, she literally has no reason to be upset, but I get the meaning of the scene x) The weird part is she mentioning Shawn having the possibility to create a new system, does she know something that she doesn't want to reveal?
No you're not crying... I'm crying....
One the best Re Formed Characters Ever!
I swear to frog... this show was perfect. Perfect build up... perfect arc... didn't over-stay... ended when, and like, it should. Every person involved should be proud.
And it taught us all moral philosophy on the sly. Look at you, Hollywood! Teachin' people things...
Eleanor referencing back to the end of season 1 with the "it took me a while to figure it out..." hit me in a way I wasn't prepared for.
Bro I never in noticed the parallel in Eleanor’s lines with “it took me a while to figure it out”
Late to the party, but I just finished binging this amazing show. I thought it was just a silly comedy when I started, but was crying by the end. Perfectly cast, written, and acted. So good. ❤❤
THAT was the sweetest ending EVER. I'm still crying. 😭 but in a good way.
😂
They did a great job with this. Part of me wishes they'd have pulled a Newhart, like when he turns human he's Sam Malone at Cheers. But it was a truly fantastic and very touching finale.
But, Earth is the good place
Did anybody else cry at this?
😭 and still do, every time I rewatch it!
I can almost cry at every sentence of this clip.
