When Brent said “I’m a good person”, he looks around a bit and realized that he doesn’t have any proof to back his claim. In the past episodes, he basically said “I’m a good person because I went to the good place”, but now after Eleanor & Michael told him he’s actually in the bad place, he can’t use that excuse anymore. It is at this point he realized that he truly is a bad person and quickly make amends to Chidi. Although they both know they’re going to be tortured soon, he still apologized anyway instead of thinking about himself. Not only that but I started to think about how all he had to say about his life was his ideal status: Princeton, suburbs, golf, a picture perfect man and life. Strip all that away with the status of the good place and who was he without that? This scene.
That’s why I really loved his character and this season. Everyone’s been trying to make them better people, but their actions on Earth have all been validated. They thought they were good enough to get to the Good Place. They would never change.
@@isabeladcock9650 that's true. Eleanor always knew she wasn't supposed to be in the good place, that makes her not a bad person but actually a person that was hurt her entire life and had to be tough to survive
The real gag/fun is everyone else on the show has said Ben Koldyke (the actor that plays Brent) is absolutely nothing like this. He's actually the most genuine, humble, nicest guy.
@@mel-ij2of I love this comment. Chase was very much being himself as Pierce, but as Tyrant pointed out, he really didn't realize that he was being as aweful as he was being (both on and off camera). His antagonist relationship with Dan and the writers led them to sort of insert more and more of Chase's real personality into the Pierce character. I remember some interviews where they said they actually inserted things Chase said in real life into the script and Chase just took at as them seeing how great he was and putting his lines into the script, not that they were making fun of him.
Yeah he’d have to be an actually good person to get how to play a bad one. Like he needs to understand why it’s wrong/funny to behave the way Brent does.
Brent's actor absolutely Nailed this scene. I could not stand Brent for a long time, but watching him truly come to terms with who he was, how he wasn't good, and in his final moments trying to make at least One of his wrongs right with a true, genuine apology, moves me so much. Like the scene truly gives me chills
@@Benjaminthemighty also the big realization. up until now he had no reason to believe he was a bad person. Being told he belonged in the good place made him worse for a reason, it validated his lifestyle and gave him a reason to actually being an assh*le because he was being told by "god" that he was a good person. Now he suddendly not only he lost that, he got mocked and feels like a fool, he can't play the "good place card" anymore and the only person he considered a friend is straight up telling him he utterly dislikes him and that he's a bad person. The actor truly conveyed a very big range of emotions in this scene, such an amazing performance and such great writing
The second when the experiment ended, Brent couldn’t finish his words to say “sorry”.But ten seconds later, the very next line that is said, is when Janet comes in and finishes Brents words by saying “sorry, Eleanor asked me to bring her this as soon as the experiment ended”. It’s the little touches in the show that make it even better.
He most likely won't get the points for ALMOST saying it, sadly enough. Eleanor and Team Cockroach will either have to convince Judge Gen very hardcore OR worst/best-case scenario, it will turn out to be something along the lines of Mindy St. Claire's Medium Place where he might get some credit, but might not be high enough to get into the Good Place
@@T12321H it probably depends on the point system. Maybe the points are scored when the sentence went through his head maybe its not. For the sake of the story being dramatic i wont think it would count
Hmm, it might count. If Mindy deserved the Medium Place because she _planned_ and had a _change of heart_ but died before she can put everything into place, then it can apply to Brent. Brent's always believed he was a good person, and I'd like to believe he truly had a change of heart realizing he was in the Bad Place.
@@T12321H Remember though, the point of this experiment was to see IF humans had the ability to change even after they died. Even though it came down to the wire, the fact that he got out 90% of the "Sorry" shows that in his head he had already processed through the information he just learned and was in the process of showing how he could in fact change for the better. Also, in regards to Mindy - since she was put in the Medium Place before all of this testing occurred, assuming that this experiment is a success, she should be first in line to go to the real Good Place. In fact, since apparently no humans have qualified to go to the Good Place for hundreds of years, one could make a proper argument that Mindy is the "goodest" Human to exist in centuries. The Good Place should set her up with a mansion made out of cocaine and hot beefy men to wait on her hand and foot!
@@Eros4tw I disagree based on the fact that she isn't a good person. And I think theyll probably the experiment because of Simone. She hasn't "changed" because the whole time she was pretending so that she wouldn't influence her experiment. Ironically she's the one who we have the least background on, so maybe she was good enough on earth?
Brandon vethanayagam technically Simone figured it out earlier in the episode. Chidi was in denial until he confirms it here at the end of the episode. I have a feeling Bad Janet will return and help the humans somehow.
I've been thinking this whole season what if Eleanor, Tahani and Jason (maybe Michael) are really the ones getting scored on their genuine acts of helping the others...
I've been starting to suspect that myself. I'd guess Chidi is still being scored as well as part of the original group. He's actually acting pretty decisive which is huge for him, Tahani has had a major moment of learning not to compare herself to others with how things went with her and Elinor, Jason has started to get some level of reflection going. Elinor has been talking about saving humanity and has dealt with major personal sacrifice by letting go of Chidi. It fits better for the show to be hanging on the growth of our original cast.
@@DaeZey Chidi's test was to prove that he could make a decision, which he did by getting his mind wiped. Eleanor's test was about her selfishness, which she did by bringing Simone and Chidi together. Tahani's test was with her vanity, she learned that she doesn't have to be centerstage and becoming friends with John. Jason's test was impulse control. He shows this while saving Janet.
I remember when I wasn't that committed to this show, it was only a comedy to me and all I would do was laugh, now I'm way too deep and I feel like every episode is about to give me a nervous breakdown (still love it with my very soul)

I won't deny, I laughed along with Eleanor and Michael, mostly because of Brents face when he realised it but also because evil laughter is strangely catching when it's done right. Then the second half of this scene happens and my mood was the complete opposite.
@@Shifterwizard We are commenting on youtube videos and we don't disagree with each other. We definitely are in the bad place (that looks like the good place)
My god, this scene made me feel for BRENT? The man I've hated since the beginning, this frustrating, racist, misogynistic piece of human trash? God, he sucks, but this scene almost moved me to tears.
Oh god. Imagine the raw emotion. Imagine that you were, for the longest time, a bad person with terrible morals who made everyone around you miserable person. Then suddenly, in a moment of clarity, you became hyperaware of the extent of your revulsiveness and, with one small sliver of self-reflection, you're hit with the full weight of your despicability. All that, and then you realize that in all your life behaving without a single thought towards wondering whether you were a good person, you determine that you are without a doubt a horrible person. And with all that grief and remorse, there's nothing else you can do but just say "I'm so sorry."
Ben Koldyke (aka "Brent") is unbelievable, one of the best gifts that this show has provided us. Such an egocentric yet fragile character at the same time, what a great performance.
I love 2:21 when Brent is trying to justify that he is a good person and starts looking around at his situation. Usually he would say "I'm a good person, I'm in the good place!" But he can't use that excuse anymore, so he just looks around lost for justification. The actor did a great job at making a horrible character have a tiny moment of goodness.
The moment he realizes that he may actually be a bad person is amazing. You can see the internal struggle to accept it. I started to gear up a bit when he realizes his whole life what he perceived as compliments and good deeds were actually him being an evil bad human instead.
This show always finishes its episodes with a cliffhanger, the TH-cam channel uploads some highlights when most fans haven’t seen the episode yet and we are always having moral dilemas (like forgiving Brent or not); so we, the viewers, are in the Bad Place
The brilliance of this show is in full spotlight after Chidi tells Brent that he’s a bad person. In a matter of 30 seconds Brent goes through the five stages of grief and immediately tries to right his wrongs after accepting his mistakes. Seriously awesome job!!!
I love how they didn’t extend to minute into half the episode, they made it a real minute and let time tick away in a real way. Everything on the show is so authentic and feels real.
I loved Michael and Eleanor doing their best evil laugh at the same time. Such a nice callback as well as the “I can’t believe you figured it out.” Now I’m really curious to see what comes next.
Brent's character is really amazing, writing-wise I mean. That reflexive desire to deny that you are a bad person is very human and intrinsic to our NEED to feel like we know our place in the world. To be denied our own perception of reality is physically painful, and denial is our defense mechanism. But it also just goes to show that Brent has actually, this entire time, wanted to be a good person. He just didn't know how.
I think there's this beautiful moment, right after chidi tells brent he's a bad person, where he actually grapples with it for a second. it a very small moment but you can tell that, even if for just a fraction of a second, he reflected on his actions. I think this show is incredibly compassionate even towards mundanely bad people like brent. it doesn't go out of it's way to redeem him but it does allow him a single moment of growth and sometimes that is all someone needs.
You do know this wasn't the finale, right? We still have Episodes 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and a double length episode 14, and then it's done. Sorry, Mate. :(
This must have been pretty odd for Chidi too. Cuz "Architect-Eleanor" and him actually had some nice moments of genuine interpersonal connection including the time they shared nachos together or he made her cry, and so it's gotta be kinda surreal or hurtful for him to see this god-friend whom he has somehow developed something rather like friendship with turn the tables on him and claim she's a demon torturing him for eternity.
@@DeathnoteBB exactly why the loophole might work! Jearimy Bearimy is how time works in the after life, which affects earth way differently, which is how Michael could rescue the humans on earth So if they are measuring time in earth time, and not Jearimy Bearimy, then Jearimy Bearimy will affect Earth time in the afterlife the same way it affects earth time on earth, which is, events happen before ones that have happened before. Basically idk how it will work, but it will work if they do it.
OMFG, if these people get their scenes about knowing that they're going to hell and try to be good to everyone thats involved in their life would be so amazing.
Aanchal Saxena But that’s what I mean, it doesn’t matter how many loopholes you can make if the Judge doesn’t care. I don’t think this’ll end as bad as we think though but I have no idea what’ll happen
@Alex Ivy It’s ironic how Michael kept on failing at trying to change how the bad place tortured people, but ended up changing the entire system of the bad place, the good place, and evaluation with the group
This was probably one of the greatest endings of any episode, for me. The premise has finally been blown up! I love how Eleanor and Michael just kind of said to themselves that the premise hadn't been blown up in ages, so they decided: 'Fine. We'll do it, Ourselves.' I love how the credits rolled, just as Eleanor, and Michael left them for the final-minutes; The crew begging and pleading, in that final minute, was so reflective of how I was begging and pleading for the show to just not suddenly end. I didn't want this episode to end on another Cliffhanger, if the experiment wasn't over yet. I wanted it to be over. And it is! Finally! And, of course, does Brent get points for his apology, if he technically didn't say the Full-Word: 'Sorry?'
@@seannanana84 I mean, Yes; He'd have to get points for feeling regret, and sorrow. However, Remember; The whole reason the point system is screwed up, is because it doesn't focus enough on intention, and looks mainly at the consequences of the action. I'm fairly certain the judge is going to come down next episode, and claimed that they were 1 point away. The one point that could have been saved, if the experiment just went on 1 second longer.
He'll get credit, and get a couple points of improvement. The problem that no one seems to be mentioning is Simone. She wasn't a terrible person, but she made no improvement at all. She's still the same person who makes snap judgements that accurately capture the surface of those around her, and never changes her mind or looks deeper to see why.
@@jamesedjones Yes. However, I'm still confused as to Why this isn't already a guaranteed win. Isn't the whole reason everyone is ending up in The Bad-Place, is because of the unintended consequences? Aren't they removed here? Also, I just got to say this, but I cannot express, how much I hate that line, The Judge said, about how The Bad-Place got to pick the People, for the experiment. Seriously; I can't be the only one who shouted bull-crap at my T.V., the moment she said that. Why? No, Why? Why so The Bad-Place get to pick the People? Give me 1 Good-Reason, why it's a good-idea to even bring The Bad-Place into this. They are Liars. They were well-aware no one had entered The Good-Place in 521 Years, and they never Told you. They do not deserve an advantage. Not only That, but why doesn't Michael get to choose the Humans? The only reason I can possibly imagine this Being the Case, is because he might choose humans that are Already-Good. But, That is Not and Excuse. Isn't the Whole-Reason we're doing this experiment, is to see if the Point-System has screwed People over? It would feel like I waste, If we chose people that are already, relatively-bad.
i like how the minute is actually a minute and they let time tick off in the way it should. also the performances are great, brett's actor in this scene was great and everything felt really authentic
Brent struggling to comprehend at first what Chidi said, and still insisting that he's a good person even though the recent revelations says otherwise made be believe that he's not being a bad person just to be bad. He just doesn't know any better. Now this doesn't excuse his actions, in life and the afterlife, but it reaffirms the gang's realization that the points system is inherently broken because Earth made it almost impossible for people to change organically and evolve into better persons.
Yep, Brent definitely had self esteem issues. ALSO BRENT! I can’t believe he was the one that actually improved! I can’t believe I am writing this but I love that guy now. I mean he still going to the bad place, but whatever.
NeonPurrty Purrtying Brent was a bad person. That’s the point. . He’s racist, sexist and misogynistic. How is he not a bad person? . . He was the only one that wasn’t improve
Best line from this episode: John: "who else are they going to talk to dumb shorts Kathy?" Chidi: "Why do you hate her?" John: "Ugh, shorts, Kathy. What's not to hate."
Man, i teared a little at the last seconds of Brent. After Chidi said "you are a bad person!" And when he finally realised he was a bad person, especially to the person he has saved him despite Brent being especially terrible to him, and when he genuinely felt bad for being such a horrible person and actually wanted to apologize to the only person he saw as a friend. I don't know, that made me incredibly sad and happy at the same time. And i actually i really liked Brent (as a character) just because of this. One of my favorite scenes in The Good Place.
It’s amazing how the only one that truly improved was Brent, the guy nobody liked, he was just in denial with self esteem issues; but when he finally realized it, he was genuinely sorry
androkguz Why 2 up and 2 down? Chidi is always nice and the gossip guy didn’t really improve, in the end he still told everybody about Jason and left Brandon to his own luck
@@yisus4681 Well, even if it's as you said, it's still two up. Chidi and brent. Remember that chidi was so bad before he got sent to the bad place because of his rigidity and indecisiveness. Here he saved a man from a sinkhole.
androkguz Nope, Chidi has always been a nice guy, being indecisive isn’t a factor when it comes to saving a human life, it’s not really much of a decision as it is of a morality thing
This clip just shows how incredibly well-written and well-acted this show is. It's a loss that it's ending but at least we've still got half the season left to go
I literally hate Brent but it makes me almost cry and feel sorry for him and Chidi when Eleanor says it's the bad place. The look on their faces thinking they're gonna be tortured for the rest of eternity is super sad and makes me wanna give them a hug.
Her conspiracy is about helping the others including Brent. If they were being experimented on, she would want them all out. Thats better than thinking the whole thing is a figment of her imagination
Eleanor and Michael have such a great chemistry. Actually all the characters have great chemistry. It's one of the things that make the show so great. I loved that evil laugh!
The actor who played Brent did such a good job this season so far. Jeez to see him start to meltdown when he realized the truth. You sort of wish that moment for any guy that's like him and to see it was very satisfying
Honestly, that's how I've been feeling for quite a while now. But, this is the first time I am Happy to wait. This show has built its reputation, as: 'The Show that blows-up its premise, every few Episodes.' I love it when anyone who hasn't seen the show before, asks me: 'What's it about?' I basically pulling Michael evil laugh. Because, there really is nothing you can say. What, you can tell them that it's about a girl called Eleanor, that accidentally finds herself in the good place, when she was actually a bad person, and she tries to improve herself, without being caught. But, that doesn't do the show Justice, at all! Whenever I say that, the people just don't seem that interested, so I'm forced to tell them the Season 1 twist, and then I greet them the next day, saying that they've been changed the entirety of Season 1 last night. Episodes 2, 3, and 6, we're all exactly what I expected. And episode 5, was worse than I expected. This was the first episode, where a Twist finally happened, and this time, there is no way that they're just going to undo it, like they did an Episode 5. I felt so underwhelmed, at the end of each episode oh, this Season. I felt like I had just waited a whole week, just to see if the same crap all over again. and there was a good chance that I was just going to end up waiting another week, for the same, Again. This is the first time, that were actually moving on; And I am Happy to Wait, This-Time.
@@isabellelangmuir5849 Lol! I am so sorry; My English teacher once complimented me on capitalizing certain words in some stories I wrote, as it helped define them as an entity. I guess I kind of got a bit carried away, and it's kind of become a habit! :)
I think Brent’s character is truly an analysis that we all think we’re good people. Maybe not great, but at least good. But it takes some real self analyzing to realize the person that we think is good is not and that we have much improvement to do.
2:19 I really hope that in the next episode someone will ask him 'Why?' meaning 'Why did you think you were a good person?' It both tortures him by making him realise that he probably doens't have a good answer to that question, and it's also part of the healing process because it makes him start to reflect on his life and his character, and as we saw with the original 4, that's the start to the change. Admitting.
The thing is, That Already Happened. Up until this Scene, Brent always had the excuse of: 'I made it to The Good-Place! Thus, I must be a Good-Person!' It wasn't until Eleanor and Michael told him he went into The Bad-Place, that he Lost that excuse. When he says: 'I'm a Good-Person,' at 2:17, in this Scene, he is about to say: 'I made it to The Good-Place,' before reminding himself he can't say that anymore. Looking around the Room, is him realizing without That excuse; Without the approval of the celestial-beings, in-fact, with the Denial of the celestial-beings, he doesn't really having anything to say.
It's so wholesome when Brent finally realized he's not a good person and is actually sorry. The fact is, there are people like him and the others in real life that can realize they're not as great as they thought before they die.
Just to let you know, I'm calling it that they are all 1-Point away from the threshold, and they are at least going to Ask The Judge, to let the experiment run for 1 more Second, so Brent can finish his apology. I also predict that The Judge is going to partially ignore the results, even if they are good, and point out that Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, Jason, Michael, and Janet, have all depended on Lying, to improve the humans. I know this would be a ridiculous thing for The Judge to say, as if they told the new humans the truth, that would have corrupted their motivations on the spot. However, The Judge has proven herself to be nothing but forking idiot, from the very beginning. (I remind you, she is, supposedly, the inventor of The Bad-Place; That is literally, the Worst-Thing, any being could do.) (Maybe The Judge is the Ultimate-Deamon.) I'm also calling that Bad-Janet, due to her being rebooted like 4,000 times or something, is going to read the manifesto, and bust in at the last second, to claim that they are judging humans all wrong. If Demons can improve, why can't Bad-Janets? Rebooting them, literally, supposedly, Improves them. I also want to call, that the final twist is that this whole show has been entirely in either Eleanor, or Michael's Head. And this is what they are seeing, right before they die, a Human, on Earth. Both Eleanor, and Michael, have gone through a bigger Character-Journey, than anyone else. And the Final-Twist is that they were both bad people on Earth, and are having this Ultimate-Vision of improving, in the Final-Seconds before they die. There is no afterlife, and I feel that the Moral of this Story would be that we only have a limited amount of time on Earth. While it is unlikely, I feel like the Show has so far given the message that while you should try to improve, you have plenty of time to do it in the afterlife, so why bother, on Earth? Since people theorize that this whole Medium-Place experiment is going to become the default Place for humans go, to see if they can improve or not, that seems more Certain than Anything. The moral of the story is that you don't have all the time in the world, to improve. It's best to try and do it now, before you die, and Lights-Out.
They really forked up by making Brent think he’d earned the good place and was eligible for the best place. That made him think he was already great and had no flaws.
Ted Danson is truly awesome. He can go from serious good guy to full evil doomord. Its like the charakter "michael" doesnt change but his moral code just makes a switcheroo and its so convincing
I know we all love Brent's reaction to the 'truth', but when I glance over at Chidi, I just feel bad. Poor guy looks so done, so crushed that Simone was right, and Eleanor was evil (I know that wasn't really the case, but he believed it).
This is the only time Chidi realised it's the bad place. It was usually elenor or Jason aka the two people who have no reason to believe they should be in the good place

But will it be enough

His antagonist relationship with Dan and the writers led them to sort of insert more and more of Chase's real personality into the Pierce character. I remember some interviews where they said they actually inserted things Chase said in real life into the script and Chase just took at as them seeing how great he was and putting his lines into the script, not that they were making fun of him.

Like the scene truly gives me chills
Imagine the fear minutes before getting sent to be Tortured for all eternity.
That's amazing I never noticed that!
I lost it when brent almost said "Im sorry" but then the time went out. I hope he got the points for that even if he didnt finish the sentence

Chidi's test was to prove that he could make a decision, which he did by getting his mind wiped.
Eleanor's test was about her selfishness, which she did by bringing Simone and Chidi together.
Tahani's test was with her vanity, she learned that she doesn't have to be centerstage and becoming friends with John.
Jason's test was impulse control. He shows this while saving Janet.

Brents look of realization, you can SEE his gut fall through the floor. Searching desperation. Beautiful acting!
EXACTLY, what an amazing actor
A person is still potentially redeemable if someone tells you "You're a bad person" and doesn't throw a tantrum
This show always finishes its episodes with a cliffhanger, the TH-cam channel uploads some highlights when most fans haven’t seen the episode yet and we are always having moral dilemas (like forgiving Brent or not); so we, the viewers, are in the Bad Place
This channel is run by the people in the bad place

The brilliance of this show is in full spotlight after Chidi tells Brent that he’s a bad person. In a matter of 30 seconds Brent goes through the five stages of grief and immediately tries to right his wrongs after accepting his mistakes. Seriously awesome job!!!
I love how they didn’t extend to minute into half the episode, they made it a real minute and let time tick away in a real way. Everything on the show is so authentic and feels real.
Eleanor and Michael did get a long for real at the first season. Their combined evil laugh was amazing.
I love how Michael positions himself next to Eleanor for the laugh. He knows his original laugh was iconic and she wanted her moment for the same.
Daaamn. Solid acting from Brent! And evil kinda looks good on Eleanor.
Eleanor saying the exact same words Michael said the first time she figured it out is great continuity.
The biggest twist is that this isn't really the last season. This thing is going mega-meta.
No this is the last season hon
Mike Okkerts this is the last season sorry.

Sorry, Mate. :(
When I read your comment I was just happy to learn there are so many episodes left
All these replies not getting that this is an obvious joke.
That moment when you understood what they're doing, a second before they demonic laughed... Priceless!

There's a possible Jeremy Bearimy time loop hole somewhere...
mewletter oh my god you might have figured out what they do next. Take advantage of a loophole in the Jeremy Bearimy timeline
Aditya Chandrasekar They said it’s gonna go for one earth year didn’t they?
@@DeathnoteBB exactly why the loophole might work!
Jearimy Bearimy is how time works in the after life, which affects earth way differently, which is how Michael could rescue the humans on earth
So if they are measuring time in earth time, and not Jearimy Bearimy, then Jearimy Bearimy will affect Earth time in the afterlife the same way it affects earth time on earth, which is, events happen before ones that have happened before.
Basically idk how it will work, but it will work if they do it.
OMFG, if these people get their scenes about knowing that they're going to hell and try to be good to everyone thats involved in their life would be so amazing.

It’s ironic how Michael kept on failing at trying to change how the bad place tortured people, but ended up changing the entire system of the bad place, the good place, and evaluation with the group
This was probably one of the greatest endings of any episode, for me.
The premise has finally been blown up!
I love how Eleanor and Michael just kind of said to themselves that the premise hadn't been blown up in ages, so they decided:
'Fine. We'll do it, Ourselves.'
I love how the credits rolled, just as Eleanor, and Michael left them for the final-minutes; The crew begging and pleading, in that final minute, was so reflective of how I was begging and pleading for the show to just not suddenly end. I didn't want this episode to end on another Cliffhanger, if the experiment wasn't over yet. I wanted it to be over. And it is! Finally!
And, of course, does Brent get points for his apology, if he technically didn't say the Full-Word: 'Sorry?'
carealoo744 I am anxious too...🙂
Even not totally finishing the word there's intent there and signs of regret, guilt and sorrow so maybe that counts?
@@seannanana84 I mean, Yes; He'd have to get points for feeling regret, and sorrow.

He'll get credit, and get a couple points of improvement. The problem that no one seems to be mentioning is Simone. She wasn't a terrible person, but she made no improvement at all.

Not only That, but why doesn't Michael get to choose the Humans?
The only reason I can possibly imagine this Being the Case, is because he might choose humans that are Already-Good.

Honestly, that's how I've been feeling for quite a while now. But, this is the first time I am Happy to wait.
This show has built its reputation, as: 'The Show that blows-up its premise, every few Episodes.'
I love it when anyone who hasn't seen the show before, asks me: 'What's it about?'
I basically pulling Michael evil laugh.

I think Brent’s character is truly an analysis that we all think we’re good people. Maybe not great, but at least good. But it takes some real self analyzing to realize the person that we think is good is not and that we have much improvement to do.
I still can’t believe they managed to make me feel sorry for Brent!
The zoom in and call back is sooo perfect, it gave me the biggest smile when i saw this scene.
Admitting.
But the experiment is already over
The thing is, That Already Happened.
Up until this Scene, Brent always had the excuse of: 'I made it to The Good-Place! Thus, I must be a Good-Person!'
It wasn't until Eleanor and Michael told him he went into The Bad-Place, that he Lost that excuse.
Well, that's it. Game over, man! Game over! What the fork are we gonna do now?!
(I remind you, she is, supposedly, the inventor of The Bad-Place; That is literally, the Worst-Thing, any being could do.) (Maybe The Judge is the Ultimate-Deamon.)
I'm also calling that Bad-Janet, due to her being rebooted like 4,000 times or something, is going to read the manifesto, and bust in at the last second, to claim that they are judging humans all wrong.
I love how Michael had to stoop to be in the frame as they zoomed in
I like how Chidi closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as if he's trying to mentally prepare himself for whatever horror he might experience.
One of the best episodes I have watched
Certainly the best out of Season 4!
“You big white oaf, never change”
You later find out after several Baremy’s he doesn’t 😂 😂
Brent face is priceless because he actually is in fear, maybe a bit sad too
I almost have empathy
They really forked up by making Brent think he’d earned the good place and was eligible for the best place. That made him think he was already great and had no flaws.
Ted Danson is truly awesome. He can go from serious good guy to full evil doomord. Its like the charakter "michael" doesnt change but his moral code just makes a switcheroo and its so convincing
I love when brent's smile turns to devastating face
Medium place, pretending to be the bad place, pretending to be the good place
It’s weird... I watch this clip and all I can think is “I wonder how this would look if Michael the Fire Squid was not wearing a Ted Danson suit...”
The actor playing Brent is amazing! I am so interested what Brent was going to say and how he became so prideful
You can tell eleanor was WAITING to say that!
