I really think the cruise lines should hire you to make videos like this to play on the TV in the cabins... or maybe even on screens in the elevators. You are so good at cruise videos and you are so nice and thoughtful, you make it easy to hear about “what you should not do”

You are right about wearing a watch so you get back to the ship on time. It should be added that the watch should be set to ship time, which is usually synchronized with home port. And don't depend on your phone for the time as it may automatically reset to the local time of the port you are in if it gets a signal and that won't match ship time.

Don't forget to set your watch to ship time! Last year when we were on MSC Bellissima we could smell smoke on our balcony. So much so that it put us off balconies. Some people also didn't attend the muster drill on that ship. I think with so many people getting on and off constantly it's harder to do the muster drill.

If anybody ever smells smoke on their balcony please report it right away. !!! I forgot what ship it happened on but it was recently but someone who was smoking on the balcony apparently it blew back on someone’s cabin and started a fire which burned I don’t know how many cabins was lucky nobody died from it

I really appreciated the part about the drone. My husband and I recently went on our first cruise and he said next time he wants to bring his drone but it sounds like that may not be a good idea unless we do a lot of research. Maybe you could do a “Do’s and Don’ts” of Drones & Cruising... like how to research if your destination(s) have rules about the use of drones when you are in town?

Hey Ginger. Essentially all cruise lines have banned the use of them on the ship and have banned them been brought onboard completely. Rules change depending on the port but they are getting stricter and we noticed that security is getting a lot more aware of them flying around. Only last week we had a drone buzzing around our ship and the security team was on it!

That’s great guys that you are reminding us of the rules on a cruise ship very simple to follow too. Great videos as always.

Not a “getting kicked off” thing, but a huge inconvenience... My hubby likes to sleep with white noise, so he brought a small fan with him on our first cruise. We went to our rooms after they were ready and one of his bags was missing. After a quick check at guest services, he was escorted down to security. Apparently fans are big no-no’s. We were able to get his bag back (thank God cause all his clothes were in it!), but they kept the fan. Word to the wise: bring a simple noise machine!

I can definitely attest to the ship waiting for you if the tour was late. Was literally the LAST person off the shore tender onto the boarding platform, and by the time we had moved to the stairs the ship was underway. That’s the main reason to book the tour through the ship.

whats worse, trying to smuggle alcohol and cigarettes on board? cheating at the casino? touching a female crew member on the butt?

    What's your favourite port?
    Vintage red.
When I mentioned I was thinking of taking a cruise, my friend said, "Oh, don't do that, you'll catch the narwhale virus."
She's not the type of lady to argue with, so I said, "Not if I keep washing my hands."

Cruise ships should really make people abide the no smoking policy, I was at MSC Meraviglia last week and both passengers from the right and left side balconies smoked all week long despite me informing it to guest services and cabin steward. I could hardly go to my balcony as that continued all week long despite several times informing it.

Being left behind. We went on a cruise that stayed over night in Istanbul. Departure was 1.00pm and despite waiting for an hour a couple didn't appear. The ship sailed but the passengers were lucky because the next port was mainland Turkey so they rejoined the ship the next day after a hotel stay and train journey.

      @enjoyslearningandtravel7957 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Wow! I’m surprised the ship was even able to wait an hour for late passengers. Usually they can’t even do that since it often might cost more money or another ship might need to start docking.

If you want to get kicked off NCL just email Corporate Sr Management regarding a massive outbreak of NoroVirus at sea on your ship (assuming there is one). Sr Officers are not allowed to talk about this subject and you will be ejected from the ship sick or not at next stop without any assistance. We were dumped in Belgium. We are Senior cruisers with 40+ years of cruising under our belt and ultimate Premier members on many cruise lines including NCL. Never had any issue however such immoral and unconscionable action. Top Management is simply out of touch with people and consider only the bottom line. Just my opinion.

We sail in 9 days .. and i hope people do not freak out with all the Coronavirus panic .. it is just a lingering cough .. but will see what happens when we get there ...

What is Coronavirus? Is it the same as Norovirus or is it mexican beer related?

Illegal drugs go in your luggage not carry ons. Vaping is accepted and can be done in your cabin, on your balcony as well as outdoors. Took 3 nice cruises last yr and going to 36 day Amazon cruise in March. My hubby vapes heavily and has no problems. I vape occasionally This is currrent info

Linda Sensabaugh Actually, most cruise lines do not allow vaping or drug use. On our Hawaii cruise from Seattle, individuals in two adjacent cabins, were smoking marijuana in their cabins. Their cabins were searched, their marijuana confiscated and they were locked in their cabins and kicked off when we got to Hawaii. They were also charged a very large cleaning fee.

Illegal drugs aren't allowed, period, and luggage is subject to search by drug/bomb sniffing dogs and by hand if anything illegal is detected.

We are avid cruiser with years of experience since the 80’s. You are incorrect. Please check your sources cause you are WRONG ( about the vapes) and illegal things in your carry on can be checked but luggage is rarely checked. I’m not saying do illegal things just that things are pretty safe in your luggage. I know people that take THC candy for pain and it goes in their luggage. You need to be more informed. We took 7 cruises in the last 2 yrs and we are very aware of the rules
