julien, my 5 year old son secretly painted his nails one day and when we found out he thought he was going to get in trouble. i let him know that there was nothing wrong with painting his nails, he just needed some supervision. later that week my very conservative dad tried to make him feel embarrassed about his nails. “boys don’t paint their nails” and it broke my son. i introduced him to you, showed him your nails, and he has loved seeing your nails when you show them on stream. i want you to know that you’ve helped him so much and have made him feel so comfortable. i told him about you coming out with this nail polish and we agreed that we both needed the whole collection. thank you thank you thank you for helping my son feel comfortable in his own skin 🤍

I love looking back at julien when we first met him to now, fully fun and mulleted and tattooed and making nail polish. It’s just so cool to see people comfy expressing themselves. I think all of us grew up in very restricting environments, especially at school, and we’re all learning to fully be ourselves, and few exemplify that better than julien!

As a straight guy I've thought about painting my nails a ton of times but always decided not to because of societal norms but I saw this video and finally decided "f*ck societal norms - I want to do it - I like how it looks" and today I went to work for the very first time with painted nails and it felt AMAZING. I know he'll never see this but thank you @julien for giving this guy the confidence to be who the fuck he is and not be ashamed of it. Love you brother.

The whole collection feels very cohesive, giving me nature vibes with a touch of... I don't know the right words. A human element? Like a park bench shaded by some trees, overlooking a field of flowers. The trees and flowers would have been nice on their own, but the bench is hella inviting and makes you want to play with them all the more. That grey out here making me want to play with nail art for the first time in years, especially if all those other colors come with it... Congratz on the collab collection! It looks awesome!

As someone who loved painting my nails before transitioning (FTM), and had to really build up that confidence to start doing it again after transition, I love seeing cisdudes rocking the painted nails. Just gives me a boost of confidence. Edit: look at this comment section bein wholesome as hell ♥♥

I love these colours!! These skittles nails look so so good on you! This collection is amazing, so many congratulations 💕 I don’t currently wear polish enough to justify getting this shipped to the UK particularly as I’m in the process of moving, but in the unlikely event they don’t sell out almost instantly I might just “accidentally on purpose” buy them and make sure I wear them constantly. For your nail drying needs: OPI has a product called “drop dry” and you just drop a couple of these tear dropper drops on them and the nail polish dries In half the time at least! It’s magic and I can’t do my nails without it now. Also, congratulations on the collab!! So happy for you!

For me, I really don’t see anything wrong with if a male has color on his nails or not. It’s artistic and fashion. It doesn’t mean that man is “gay”. How can having color on your nails decide your sexuality?
Also, my little brother is the youngest of 3 sisters. He used to want us to paint his nails when he was a little boy. We would just put clear coat and he would be like 😱❤️ And he isn’t gay! It’s ok to be fascinated by artistic expression on your body! ☝️

Sooo… I’ve actually been meaning to order from Holo Taco for *FOREVER* now. My only issue thus far has been deciding exactly which polishes to pick up as there are sooooo many incredible options! And even though Cristine keeps everything priced _extremely_ fair, considering how high quality everything is, it’s still _waaaaay_ too easy for me to basically bankrupt myself due to wanting _sooooooo_ many of the amazing polishes! lol So, naturally, as soon as I heard that Julen was doing a collaboration with Holo Taco, I knew what had to be done! LOL. I honestly didn’t even care what colors were gonna be in the set (Though I must say, I absolutely *LOVE* all 5 polishes!! Normally the purple would’ve been the only one I’d go for straight away, so I’m *hella* pumped to be getting 4 other *gorgeous* polishes that I wouldn’t have normally picked out on my own but that I genuinely really love! I never wear greens but Monstera went directly on my fingernails and toenails when I received my box - and my 13 year old stole it to use it on their nails too. I love the entire aesthetic of this collab. Holo is the best - can't wait to mix and match my other HT with this collection :)

The whole collection feels very cohesive, giving me nature vibes with a touch of... I don't know the right words. A human element? Like a park bench shaded by some trees, overlooking a field of flowers. The trees and flowers would have been nice on their own, but the bench is hella inviting and makes you want to play with them all the more. That grey out here making me want to play with nail art for the first time in years, especially if all those other colors come with it... Congratz on the collab collection! It looks awesome!

I started painting my nails black almost two years because I thought yours looked so cool - now, I paint my nails all kinds of colors! I always hated being too "girly," but now I just embrace it, so believe it or not it's been a process for me lol - anyway, CONGRATS! This is so cool :)
As someone who loved painting my nails before transitioning (FTM), and had to really build up that confidence to start doing it again after transition, I love seeing cisdudes rocking the painted nails. Just gives me a boost of confidence.

I love these colours!! These skittles nails look so so good on you! This collection is amazing, so many congratulations 💕 I don’t currently wear polish enough to justify getting this shipped to the UK particularly as I’m in the process of moving, but in the unlikely event they don’t sell out almost instantly I might just “accidentally on purpose” buy them and make sure I wear them constantly. Love the slogan in the box so much, it fits so so well! You always create the best things and also this video was also so so fun. Can’t wait to keep seeing everything else you do ☺️

For your nail drying needs: OPI has a product called “drop dry” and you just drop a couple of these tear dropper drops on them and the nail polish dries In half the time at least! It’s magic and I can’t do my nails without it now. Also, congratulations on the collab!! So happy for you!

@@jennw6809 He needed to wait for the colored nail polish to dry first. So, the drop dry product mentioned would be helpful before applying the Halo Taco Topcoat.
For those drops should I put drops for each coat or just after I’ve finished the layers?
Holo tacos glossy taco and super glossy taco dry so fast, I’ve never needed anything like that.

Painting your nails is all about artistic and personal expression, and we shouldn't limit expression in the form of nail art to just one gender. It's good to see people with influence like Julien showing that they aren't afraid of change.

Also, my little brother is the youngest of 3 sisters. He used to want us to paint his nails when he was a little boy. We would just put clear coat and he would be like 😱❤️ And he isn’t gay! It’s ok to be fascinated by artistic expression on your body! ☝️

Sooo… I’ve actually been meaning to order from Holo Taco for *FOREVER* now. My only issue thus far has been deciding exactly which polishes to pick up as there are sooooo many incredible options! And even though Cristine keeps everything priced _extremely_ fair, considering how high quality everything is, it’s still _waaaaay_ too easy for me to basically bankrupt myself due to wanting _sooooooo_ many of the amazing polishes! lol
So, naturally, as soon as I heard that Julen was doing a collaboration with Holo Taco, I knew what had to be done! LOL. I honestly didn’t even care what colors were gonna be in the set (Though I must say, I absolutely *LOVE* all 5 polishes!! Normally the purple would’ve been the only one I’d go for straight away, so I’m *hella* pumped to be getting 4 other *gorgeous* polishes that I wouldn’t have normally picked out on my own but that I genuinely really love! Plus, I don’t have anything currently like _any_ of them, including _I’m Live_ somehow! lol Also, 98% of my polishes are on the spectrum of “shitty to meh” in terms of quality, so I’m super excited to be adding _several_ new, *high quality* polishes to my collection!!

I never wear greens but Monstera went directly on my fingernails and toenails when I received my box - and my 13 year old stole it to use it on their nails too. I love the entire aesthetic of this collab. Holo is the best - can't wait to mix and match my other HT with this collection :)
