Like I've heard it hundreds of times probably with how long I've been watching and how often I re-watch the videos, but every time I just can't help but smile. I strive for a relationship like this, even if it's not romantic. Just to have someone you care about as much as they care about each other would be honestly incredible.
There are a few camera angles that make it feel like the “scene” is swaying. Not everyone appreciates Julian’s skills with camera work and set up, but they should. Georgia King part of the change will come from tending to the silent culture surroubding unhealthy relationships because many of them is due to mental health issues, and mental health issues aren’t like a cold that will pass if you just give it some time. It’s something that needs to get tons of attention (the unhealthy relationships), but the attention we give it now is basically ”oh that is not good, but hope it will work out” or it’s ”that’s their business it’s not for others to meddle in”. Women, children and also some men will die in some extreme cases and will 100% get poor mental health in a relationship/home with someone with mental health issues. Just look at how high depression is among adult children to a parent/s with mental health issues which created a dysfunctional home environment for their child/ren, to name one example of how dire the situation will get when left unattended. People with good mental ohealth and good self-esteem don’t mistreat other people they can in a constructive and healthy way communicate when they are stressed or in a bad mood etc. Jenna and Julien have arguments just like any other couple but they are emotionally mature and have the tools to work through those moments. It’s of course wonderdul to see mindful people who have it in them to be healthy and loving to their loved ones, in no way do I want to take away from that, but that’s in its own context, and we need to not praise healthy relationships in the context of bad relationships as if the too are tied together. This is a huge issue, and far bigger than what there is space for in a TH-cam comment or two. This is tied to all aspects of society, how we view mental health, how children are raised, which support people get, the stigma in society surrounding mental health issues and abuse, and how it globally is not taken seriously even at a justice level where cases are dismissed that results in people being trapped with their abuser, and if they get help from the justice system the years (if even that, usually low sentences on domestic abuse crimes since children and females still aren’t valued to a 100% in society they are considered second class citizens), and in prison few prisoners will get help with their mental health issues so they get out and tend to get more violent due to feeling wronged by their partner etc for pressing charges that landed them in prison even though their actions landed them in prison (the mental health issued brain with its sideways reasonings, that actions done by the person is never their responsibility no matter the outcome regarding the people they hurt, legal consequences...the unhealthy brain will always find it justified to a use others, and not take responsibility and always have a right to be forgiven and for the abuse to be forgotten). It’s very complex! But not hopeless if we focus on what actually is! Ps. I’m Scandinavian so I wish to apologize in advance if my text has spelling errors in it!😌

Georgia King part of the change will come from tending to the silent culture surroubding unhealthy relationships because many of them is due to mental health issues, and mental health issues aren’t like a cold that will pass if you just give it some time. It’s something that needs to get tons of attention (the unhealthy relationships), but the attention we give it now is basically ”oh that is not good, but hope it will work out” or it’s ”that’s their business it’s not for others to meddle in”. Women, children and also some men will die in some extreme cases and will 100% get poor mental health in a relationship/home with someone with mental health issues. Just look at how high depression is among adult children to a parent/s with mental health issues which created a dysfunctional home environment for their child/ren, to name one example of how dire the situation will get when left unattended. People with good mental ohealth and good self-esteem don’t mistreat other people they can in a constructive and healthy way communicate when they are stressed or in a bad mood etc. Jenna and Julien have arguments just like any other couple but they are emotionally mature and have the tools to work through those moments.
It’s of course wonderdul to see mindful people who have it in them to be healthy and loving to their loved ones, in no way do I want to take away from that, but that’s in its own context, and we need to not praise healthy relationships in the context of bad relationships as if the too are tied together.
This is a huge issue, and far bigger than what there is space for in a TH-cam comment or two. This is tied to all aspects of society, how we view mental health, how children are raised, which support people get, the stigma in society surrounding mental health issues and abuse, and how it globally is not taken seriously even at a justice level where cases are dismissed that results in people being trapped with their abuser, and if they get help from the justice system the years (if even that, usually low sentences on domestic abuse crimes since children and females still aren’t valued to a 100% in society they are considered second class citizens), and in prison few prisoners will get help with their mental health issues so they get out and tend to get more violent due to feeling wronged by their partner etc for pressing charges that landed them in prison even though their actions landed them in prison (the mental health issued brain with its sideways reasonings, that actions done by the person is never their responsibility no matter the outcome regarding the people they hurt, legal consequences...the unhealthy brain will always find it justified to a use others, and not take responsibility and always have a right to be forgiven and for the abuse to be forgotten).
It’s very complex! But not hopeless if we focus on what actually is!
