Right it really meant something cuz they know exactly what you've done what you're capable of. Oh shit is the most appropriate response possible. Man was a war machine. Fact that he even got some of their top agents to leave with him after how much resources they poured into Shepard. anyone else would have been bought off. Honestly mass effect is a modern day folk tale of heroism. Dude wasnt some military dog he gave everything to save the human race while everyone else is bickering over nonsense like they always do.
Played this mission again yesterday and I have to say that the slow non-battle portion of the music that starts at 1:46 is some of the best atmospheric music in the entire series.
This is my top 2 of mass effect songs easily. It captures the urgency of the battle shepard's facing as well as the slow foreboding of even this mission and after theres much more to come. Its crazy cuz his resolve was otherworldly ik hes a video game character but the shit he faced on a constant basis for years really makes you think. He just saw the reapers hit earth and he leaves it to Anderson taking 1 small step at a time to work to take it back and win the war. Every skirmish against mooks or the reapers is like a step up Mount Everest, no coat no pick nothing. Up until the very very end each step the top is nowhere in sight. Its not a climb for glory it's a climb for the survival of life itself. Most people chase nothing but he had a real fight worth fighting for, the fight. They didnt even know if the crucible would work or what it did just that the last cycle thought it was important and it was the only thing they had to try cuz pure firepower they lose. Didnt stop Shepard from busting his ass to try. I said a lot when you learn hes the first one in however many cycles to make it that far of reaching the crucible.
If I had been with the commander on this mission then the machine would have never escaped. Allowing a machine to escape was punishable by death in my cycle.
I know this is an old comment, but you are so right. because of the ambiance to this track; everytime I look at photos of Mars or documents on it, I hear the ambiance.
I like to think that ME2 had the best overall soundtrack out of the trilogy, but my goodness, some of these ME3 tracks are nothing short of incredible, Creation is another favorite.
So atmospheric! Reminds me of Therum's music in the first game. That's what I love about ME3's soundtrack, it's a perfect balance of ME1's bladerunner-esque snyth and ME2's orchestral bombast.
Well, think about it. The majority of Cerberus's ground forces, especially the further into the game you get, are captured civilians that were indoctrinated and implated with Reaper tech. They might have upgrades, but if they lack the skill to fight, no amount of implants will make up for it.
I don't think you understand how indoctrination works. They're already programmed how to fight just as any seasoned soldier. Experience is just knowledge how to apply certain solutions in certain combat scenarios for maximum effectiveness. It's of no difference whether it is programmed into your brain or learned naturally. Once you have it, you use it.
Blasting this while playing Helldivers 2 makes me wish for Mass Effect 4, it really feels like being a veteran that being redeployed for another war lol
For all my gripes with this game, the soundtrack was absolutely on point - so many iconic tracks throughout the entire Mass Effect series and this is one of them.
HOOOOOLY crap when the beat drops in the hallway as the soldiers call retreat. If you're a Vanguard, you'll remember your first time in that section like the back of your hand.
I don't get it, this track really makes you go back to Therum's theme, which in fact doesn't sound anything like this. The guys working at Bioware are really indoctrinated us.
Why out of any amazing happy sci-fi or regular universe would I want to live the life of commander Shepard? Because the amazing technology and alien races the imminent threat is the biggest adrenaline rush I could imagine if I had one while playing imagine the rush you'd get from living his life. It would be my ideal life, going around the galaxy fucking up reapers and making new friends along the way.
And what makes it even funnier, is that it's pretty much what happened in ME3. Cerberus came, killed most of the staff by suffocating them, and tried to make of with the Prothean data.
you are kinda right but thats still the truth, in a fair fight cerberus always defeats alliance. they have reaper tech and as harbinger would say "fight as one" they dont any emotions due to indoctrination and no downsides they accomplish the mission whatever the cost, never surrender or retreat and just throw more troops in until they ultimately have killed every single one of their targets.
No, actually the lore and masseffectwikia says that they were also trained and forced through a psychological program to be fearless and extremely cunning aimed to outfit any alliance unit
ME3 was a fucking awesome game. Sure corners were cut here and there. But seriously it's like one of my favorite games from bioware. Here's hopin we can getmore gems like it on the next generation consoles.
ben kenobi it is almost like they had began making a masterpiece in the beginning stages of the game and then EA stepped in with their big ass money cock and fucked the whole thing up
"OH SHIT IT'S SHEPARD" I got so much gratification out of this sentence.
I don't know, Do I look like an Alliance Reg to you?
Right it really meant something cuz they know exactly what you've done what you're capable of. Oh shit is the most appropriate response possible. Man was a war machine. The slow, no-battle portion of this track is one of the best sci-fi soundtracks I've ever heard.
seconded!!
Thirded
Anthony, tertiary*. Quadrupled.
watch?v=7KsOCPENHP8 I dont know if you're still looking for it. But here it is..
It is probably one of the tracks that makes ME1 come back to mind the most.
Played this mission again yesterday and I have to say that the slow non-battle portion of the music that starts at 1:46 is some of the best atmospheric music in the entire series.
".... this is brutal, even by Cerberus standards.."
Totally agree with you. It reminds of Mass Effect 1
I'm sorry but I have to go with the Noveria theme from ME1. I think *that's* the best atmospheric music in the series.
This is not science fiction, one day we will make it a reality, just science!
Damn it NASA, why haven't you found the Prothean ruins on Mars yet? :)
feco91 omg i think id totally freak out and book the next flight to the (of course) newly discovered mass relais
Let's just hope that there aren't ancient killer machines waiting in dark space to harvest us.
dough1595 It would explain why we haven't run into any aliens yet...
dough1595 we'd kick their damn butts !
If I had been with the commander on this mission then the machine would have never escaped. Allowing a machine to escape was punishable by death in my cycle.
Javik Prothean “Throw it Out the airlock”
@@ReveredDead The problem was that they were already outside the airlock when Eva Core got to the shuttle.
2:12
This somehow gives me a more Mass Effect 1-ish feel than most music in ME2.
I LOVE THIS!! SCIFI!!!
Really? I barely remember me1 I only played it once.
Mars was an amazing mission--the ultimate sci-fi mission on the red planet. That image is just gorgeous.
If we ever colonise mars this song better be playing amazing
I know this is an old comment, but you are so right. because of the ambiance to this track; everytime I look at photos of Mars or documents on it, I hear the ambiance.
2:53-3:57 is the best part in my opinion
Yes, it should be a remix.
I like to think that ME2 had the best overall soundtrack out of the trilogy, but my goodness, some of these ME3 tracks are nothing short of incredible, Creation is another favorite.
Leaving Earth breaks your heart for real.
Nah ME1 had the best
So atmospheric! Reminds me of Therum's music in the first game. That's what I love about ME3's soundtrack, it's a perfect balance of ME1's bladerunner-esque snyth and ME2's orchestral bombast.
"Shepard, thank the Goddess you're alive."
"You too, Liara."
T_T..... Sigh....

I wonder if Matt Damon now perpetually plays this song in his head
Proper old-skool Scifi music! Love it.
The music in Mass Effect has always been so space as music can be.
This one, Virmire Ride, Creation, Saren, and the Illusive Man Suite are my favs, those encapsule all the best memories of the trillogy... love ME...
TAKING CASUALITIES! SQUAD KEEP MOVING! GET. INTO. COVER!
The first part of the song and the similar sounding parts are the best, so alien.
Blasting this while playing Helldivers 2 makes me wish for Mass Effect 4, it really feels like being a veteran that being redeployed for another war lol
Damn, that is some high quality, thanks man.
I loved this song so much because it reminded me of the first Mass Effect music... so simple and awesome.
Thumps up for beginning and the drum parts
I'm crying
lol
For all my gripes with this game, the soundtrack was absolutely on point - so many iconic tracks throughout the entire Mass Effect series and this is one of them.
Playing this game on my WiiU, and i love this song, it is so misterious and at the same time so epic awesome soundtrack.
GET YOUR ASS TO MARS!!
2:53 to 3:57. EPICLY EPIC.
Caution: Cerberus forces have been alerted to your position.
When I hear this I think about me trying to put my 10 000 points into skills
This makes me want to play ME3 again, THAT'S how good this music is!!
Ahhh. Ashley.
Hearing this track start as you walk out of the shuttle to start Mars was a memory
Part of the reason this track is similar to Therum is Liara's presence in both of those worlds.
Awesome!! Thanks a TON!!
Музыка из Mass Effect навсегда в моём сердце будет N1❤😊😍🥰😌👍
HOOOOOLY crap when the beat drops in the hallway as the soldiers call retreat. If you're a Vanguard, you'll remember your first time in that section like the back of your hand.
Love the Mars theme and the mission im reminded of ME1 a lot here which is allways pleasent. XD
I don't get it, this track really makes you go back to Therum's theme, which in fact doesn't sound anything like this. The guys working at Bioware are really indoctrinated us.
CERBERUS SCOUTS SPOTTED
2:32 gives me chills.
Couldn't agree more, thought the same thing as I went through the game.
And what makes it even funnier, is that it's pretty much what happened in ME3. Cerberus came, killed most of the staff by suffocating them, and tried to make of with the Prothean data.
hello everybody=) i feel happy, happy, happy today, and im sure you do too! have a g'day
Negative, two Cerberus Assualt Troopers detected and they're heading right this way.
bellissime sound
COME ON, ILLUSIVE MAN! YOU WON! GEEV DESE PEEPLE EYHR!!
you are kinda right but thats still the truth, in a fair fight cerberus always defeats alliance. they have reaper tech and as harbinger would say "fight as one" they dont any emotions due to indoctrination and no downsides they accomplish the mission whatever the cost, never surrender or retreat and just throw more troops in until they ultimately have killed every single one of their targets.
Good thing that such fight will never exist.
No, actually the lore and masseffectwikia says that they were also trained and forced through a psychological program to be fearless and extremely cunning aimed to outfit any alliance unit
God I love those synths from 3:06 onwards.
Oh to play this mission again (and the game) for the first time again...
It is the sound of innevitability. Can you feel it Mr.Anderson ? Closing in on you...
Sorry, wrong Sci-Fi, but it matches the theme !
2:40 - 4:10
Blizzard Account Best part!
This is so epic ! 😍
thanks so much
Correction. The Illusive Man and Kai Leng disliked the video.
ME3 was a fucking awesome game. Sure corners were cut here and there. But seriously it's like one of my favorite games from bioware. Here's hopin we can getmore gems like it on the next generation consoles.
Stupid Triggered Poongoon corners were cut because is a shitty ass fucking company
Aw, I was hoping this was an extended version of the ambient music like in some of your other vids. I can't find that anywhere.
Well frakking put, sir!
2 dislikes "Taking casualties!"
3:30
Dealing with politics at work
lmfao! total recall..
What a strange soundtrack at x2 speed... Releasing control.
4:15 onwards is my favourite part!
I love this music... It's spacey/Tronish.
So much for quality. You've done some processing to it and washed out the mids and highs.
2 Cerberus troops were shot dead
"Researching Prothean archives with.....Dr. T'Soni." Memories of rushing to Mars to reunite with my love.
dont you dare!!!!
Absofuckinlutely! :D
Heh, here they come.
i dunno which solution are better, Thanos.....or Reapers
*naked Shepard chasing Liara through air ducts intensifies*
This one is second only to Rannoch Reaper.
12:49-13:40
how do you think vader feels? storm troopers cant aim to save their lives lolxD
all 3 mass effects combined are the best game play experience you can get, and bioware screws up the ending. F%$#!!!
Half a decade later I come back. Nice.
7:50
EA knows how to crash and burn a spectacular studio and game. ME was the shit.
only good ost then game gets fucked
ben kenobi it is almost like they had began making a masterpiece in the beginning stages of the game and then EA stepped in with their big ass money cock and fucked the whole thing up
Is anyone else thinking of the Adeptus Mechanicus along with Mass Effect? ^^
Anytime 40k is mentioned I give a like.
whatever, the ending is awesome. whiner.
Sci-fi Legend of Zelda?
Seriously, the opening makes me think of a futuristic Face Shrine.
Boring I'll never listen to it again
Good for you.

...said some nobody on the Internet.
