im pretty impress to see a lot of people on youtube trying this game i play it like two years ago when my brother was still making it !.. he work alone to make everything and im glad to see people are liking it ! its fun to watch and read all the comments on it thanks to everyone that take time to try it and make some gameplay its realy nice !!

Totally agree. I love how Manly always finds these random nuggets to play. I think this channel might be the one where I actually end up buying/playing the game the most after watching him play.

There's probably another ending where you save the woman, and it probably has to do with the ladder at the entrance to the endgame area. There's also the weak wall in the holding area for the amalgam monster, don't know how to get another explosive for it.
i think the final ending he got was the one where you saved the woman, if im pretty sure the soldier will mention that she's dead if you don't
@@crusaderthestranger5982 he saved her from dogs but didn't unlock whatever was holding her in place. So she kinda stayed there during self-destruction

i guess he didn't but there are only 4 endings, confirmed by the dev, so i'd assume that the soldier tells you she's killed if you didn't free her
There are a TON of secrets I missed, including the woman and other stuff... I wanna give it another runthrough.
THe only nitpick I had was that a lot of the puzzles aren't forthcoming, so you gotta go into it with a different mindset.
That, and I wish there were more enemy types, but that's just a gripe.
Overall 10/10 game
All you have to do to save the woman is just keep her alive that's it, don't ask me how she survives after that but she does somehow

This game is actually *extremely* solid. Just as a first impression, the game had a much better feel, story, and atmosphere than I expected.
The only thing I dislike is how bad the voice acting is. Not at the quality of the acting, but the quality of the voices. Like, the "girl not saved" ending, if that guy could legit hear himself after that recording then I'd be surprised.
This may be a personal nitpick and/or might also be the limitations of the Doom Engine, but the levels also feel very flat.
Imagine this kind of game being released during the era of the Doom Engine.
Like it is solid today in 2020, but imagine this being a game during 2000-2010.

Yeah, I don't think I've understood a single word anyone in this game has said. The audio quality is awful. The acting sounds pretty bad, too, but I honestly can't even hear them so I don't actually know.
31:50 The image of a screaming, sobbing man on his knees, twisting and turning his head away from a constant stream of chainsaw'd genitalia blood is straight out of a horror comedy, and too damn funny.
The dark endings weren't too surprising, though I kind of wish they had more buildup than just you exploring the wrong route. I appreciate there being at least one good ending, though the woman being found obviously makes things a little more bittersweet. Just as Manly hasn't played much else in the homebrew scene using the Doom engine, I haven't played or watched any other game using it but I dug this. The story is twisted, the enemy designs fairly memorable, and it startled me more than once.
It's a very different tone (more traditional Doom-style gameplay and has more of a Silent Hill influence than this game's RE/torture porn film inspiration), but Unloved is another amazing horror Doom WAD I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Doom itself is amazing, and one of the easiest games ever to get into modding and even making full conversions like this with. It's incredibly accessible and the types of WADs out there can get incredibly creative. It's a very fun rabbit hole to investigate if you're bored and looking for something unique some evening!

This had some really great parts, like you managing to jump that huge space, only to then have a plank nicely fall in place to just walk over. It was a fantastic wild ride & you did a spectacularly entertaining job in completing every ending!!

If there are two things i'd like fixed in the game, one would be the bug with the floating tommy gun crop, and the other would be an option to turn off the flashing lights or make them flash less/with less intensity. Other than that, this was an awesome DOOM homebrew i may play myself soon.
& add subtitles because that audio quality is abysmal

I think it would have been really interesting if at the end of the "true" end, the animal/humans who chase you wont actually attack. Implying that they are just trying to escape too, remnant of humanity type thing.
i think the enemies in this game are just humans with animal brains, becaue it is shown in the bad ending where the guy removes his head

To be fair chainsaw is incredibly rare. Manly only found two in the whole game. But yes, it's cheeeeesyyy. Maybe bosses could be stunlock proof, or something else
@@Idunnnn well the doom engine doesn't account for people CROUCHING, so the normal projectiles and attacks of normal sized enemies just pass right over your head when you're crouched.

Good round of applause again to the creator. after the Tunnel/Boss fight going to the "it's too quiet" environment with the gas mask is a good pace. Literally on my toes and I'm just watching manly playing XD
Also Can "Crotch split" guy (the one with the red slip Manly used his chainsaw skill on) be storywise the other doctor by any chance? The one who was opposed to the experiments but then got "changed" and was willing to help the madman.
Edit: As he appears more than once and like to listen to "beethoven" music I thinked made sense.

I’m super impressed by this game/mod. It really does a lot with what it has. It’s cheesy slasher fun.
I was so immersed in this playthrough. Was excited to see the endings but I'm kind of sad it's over
God I loved this play-through, it was rather fun and nice. I don't really know a lot about the doom engine scene, but if it has more games like this, I would love to see them played.
While not a horror mod. I recommend you check out "Blade of Agony" if you like Wolfenstein's aesthetic and Doom's feel and gameplay mixed with a little bit of Call of Duty
@@jacobosaldarriaga4820 Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I googled the game and had a quick little look and I might check it out when it is finished. Based on your quick description and what I have seen so far, there is a chance I won't check it out and just watch a letsplay. I have never really been good at more call of duty style fps shooters, I mainly enjoy the orginal doom for how it looks, and feels. Never got a proper hang of the gameplay though.
@@raspberryslush Understandable. Doom just has an excellent feel to it and being combined with a slower pace is a bit jarring, I've been playing BoA and I can see where you are coming from. Fun mod either way though.
You could try and play Blood. It works on the same engine (the Build engine, as it's called) and has a horror-aesthetic to it. As far as I know it has some horror mods as well!

I honestly enjoyed the story this game has to tell. Not to mention hearing those familiar songs crop up now and again like Bump in the Night.

It’s 2020, and the most powerful force in the doom engine is the almighty CrotchSaw.
this game has a lot of content, the map is huge, the enemies are cool(could be more) and the history is full of mysteries, in the future a spin-off with other engine could be a horror game with much more content, pretty great.

It's kind of hard to hear what the mad scientist is saying. Wish there were subtitles. Some of those endings are pretty unfulfilling you go through the scientists route only to unceremoniously die?
But yeah getting a good look at the gas mask women are likely based off of a lizard or now that I think of it they are a salamander. Even though salamanders are amphibians there has been folklore that have salamanders breathing or living in fire.
There is no explanation for that last boss you face in the good ending though...just that it was a leftover weapon from ww2.
im amazed people do these sort of things for free, this is a real good doom mod. To a point where you can almos tnot call it a doom mod anymore.

Super fun! I end up inevitably re-watching this every 6 months or so just because it's enjoyable seeing you power through the horror to rip and tear. If there are any more horror WADs of this quality it'd be great to see you give them a run!

The rifle floating is really distracting hope the dev can patch that.
Weapons sprites are ok but i think Manly have press the -/+ key on keyboard that Play with the hud/screen size that's why its floating. Otherwise sprites are perfectly aligned.

I think this game is supposed to take place in Europe somewhere? So yeah the Thompson ammo (.45 ACP) would be a lot more rare than the ammo for the beretta (9x19mm) I don't know if it was on purpose or not but I'd like to think it's some solid world building!
I personally think the “hhh” sound the protagonist makes when he jumps sounds a little too much like enemy ambience.
thats kind of the point, the 'hhh' sound the enemy dogs make is because its a human head on a dog body, hence the same noise you make when it jumps.

It's honestly a really in-depth solid game to play and only 3 dollars, it's a hidden gem no matter how you look at it
That tall skinny boss with the two wires or tubes coming out the side of the head, has a face and head design very reminiscent of the Vindicare Assassin character from Warhammer 40k
