"We're back, we're bad, you're black, I'm mad." The Lethal Weapon franchise does a great job of building a world. Each movie adds to the next as they blend comedy and action so perfectly well. Also, this is one of those rare series where every sequel is solid. I'm 100% sure you'll enjoy the last 2 as well.
The callbacks are great too. Like in 4 when Riggs tells Lorena that he tried to get Roger to take money. I always thought he was joking. It took a long time before I realized he was talking about the end of this movie.
To find out that his wife was actually ran off the road and killed instead of a tragic accident was heartbreaking especially realizing it was a hit on him that did it. It was a punch in the gut when the villain told Riggs ‘she didn’t die straightaway, it took a bit of time’….so sad.
"Diplomatic Immunity!" *BLAM!* "It's just been revoked." Pure badassery. In all honesty, LW2 is my favorite of the series. The first two definitely had some grittiness to them, with Riggs so intent on killing himself, and with the second one him going after the people who killed his wife. LW3 and LW4 leaned more into comedy, as Riggs is no longer suicidal; just a loose cannon that Murtaugh has to deal with everyday. 3 & 4 aren't as good IMO, but they're still hella fun. Definitely check 'em out!
Please please please watch all these movies. It is one of the only movie series that not only do all four of them stand on their own but they are all good but there's actually a story arc that goes to the last movie and it really has a satisfying finale to the series. I'm sure you will watch all of them. I don't see why you wouldn't but I just want to say. The the first couple lethal weapons are kind of the best in terms of story in filmmaking and the second two are the warmest in terms of how things come together for the characters. But all four movies have an insane amount of action and Jet Li makes his debut in the fourth one and he is an awesome villain

Fun Fact: Riggs was originally set to die at the end of LW2. But Director Richard Donner and the higher-ups thought it would've been too bleak an ending... plus they knew that more than likely more LW movies were gonna be produced, so the ending was changed so that Riggs lives, and the movie concludes with him and Murtaugh just laughing their asses off. As the movie is, when the camera pans out, Riggs' body does look suspiciously lifeless, despite him and Murtaugh laughing lol.
"Okay okay okay....all I did was launder half a billion dollars....." - Joe Pesci. The Lethal weapon series always tries to put out there a social issue, like war on drugs, dirty cops, gang violence, in this one it was Apartheid in South Africa, and immigration. They do address why they didn't move out the house in the next one.
Lethal Weapon 3 is a definite must see. You both will enjoy it. Please do a reaction for the movie "Wildcats" with Goldie Hawn, it's from the mid 80's & not too people of this generation are aware of it. I think you all will like it also. God bless
“She makes me want to go by rubbers” hands down the best line in the movie 😂. By far my favorite movie of the franchise. Pesci brought so much to the table on this one.
You gotta love Asia & BJ....reactions are true & not fake...I'm still catching up on them & am enjoying the horror movie reactions at the min...it's fantastic guys...❤ 🇬🇧
Quite the cast of character actors in this film. We've got Drake and Vasquez from "Aliens", Hank from "Breaking Bad", news co-anchor Gail Wallon from "Die Hard", the Soviet ambassador from "The Hunt for Red October"...and of course, Tommy from "Goodfellas"😊
The Guy from The Hunt for Red October is Joss Ackland who played the South African diplomat and was in films such as White Mischief .Joss was aged 59 or 60 in this film and is still alive today aged 95 ! Reeka , the love interest for Riggs was played by Patsy Kensit , a young British actress who has been in alot of UK TV shows , especially Emmerdale and years ago was a singer in the Group Eighth Wonder . She was married to Liam Gallagher of Oasis at one point .
Fun fact: in Godzilla vs Kong, Kong dislocates his shoulder and slams it into a building to put it back. Director Adam Wingard said it's a direct tribute to this scene. Pretty cool.
I honestly don't think it's that rare, for a sequel to match, or surpass, the original. I like this one a little better than the first one, it's my favorite of the series.
One of the reasons i love this sequel is because where a majority of action films would have an intense car scene at/near the end of the movie, LW2 has it in the opening scene
The house is located on Blondie St on the WB Ranch. WB was my stomping grounds when I started out in the industry. We filmed a few episodes at the house for a show I worked on many moons ago. The house is practical, meaning it does have rooms. Unfortunately, the ranch is scheduled for demolition.😢
I agree Asia and BJ Lethal Weapon 2 is even better than Lethal Weapon 1 now you guys gotta see Lethal Weapon 3 and 4 phenomenal Franchise Lethal Weapon
Gibson and Glover had and amazing chemistry in these 4 movies. Luckily, I was able to see all 4 movies in the theaters on opening weekend. I miss those days. The lethal weapon series is a favorite for sure…. But I really can’t emphasize how incredible a movie that END OF WATCH is. Amazing chemistry between Gylenhall and Peña. And the story line and ending are real tear jerkers. You guys need to check out “end of watch”. One of the best cop movies ever made.
So glad you guys decided to come back to these movies. This one is my personal favorite of the sequels. It gets kinda "over the top" in the fourth one, but they're all fun movies, ok. Ok.Ok.
I'm South African, I can say that the accents were not terrible for actors playing Afrikkaners. The plot idea of them being Mercenaries is kinda truth in real life because a lot of former military guys went on to private military companies. We're not offended by the idea or the movie, its a good movie and we think its kinda funny Whats also cool is Mythbusters tested the freezing the bomb toilet and not only was it confirmed, they had enough time to get up, stretch and grab some coffee before it exploded
So, this was a great introduction to Leo Getz . Pesci makes the most of this role and ,yes, he is an official member of the cast after this movie. He is absolutely hilarious in Lethal Weapon 3,so react to that and Leathal Weapon 4 as soon as possible. LW4 is very fun with a bit older Riggs and Murtah. Chris Rock is in LW4. 37:21
The blonde lady that Riggs likes called Rika is the UK actress Patsy Kensit. She was married to the lead singer of the band Simple Minds, who wrote the 1980s song "Alive and Kicking." She was later married to Liam Gallagher, the lead singer of the UK indie rock band Oasis.

There are some of the best cross movie pay offs in any movies. And these weren't made back-to-back or anything. Really good movies and Riggs and Murtaugh embody the buddy cop genre right here... More please! Leo was also a great addition here...
He tells Trish the story about the pen and his wife's death in a non-cholent way to show he trust her with the most painful moment of his life but trying to not let her feel his pain over it.
Yessss! This is the best Lethal Weapon in the series. Story, action, tension etc..Few sequels are better than the original, but this one does it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The toilet bomb is a great scene. Just after the toilet landed on the car I remember thinking, "That's sturdy." The worsening condition of the car is definitely wasted.
Should totally do Loaded Weapon Part 1. Its a spoof of these movies with Emilio Estevez in Riggs part and Samuel L. Jackson in Murtaugh part. Incredibly hilarious movie.

When mom watched something that many times, you knew it was quality. She was a fair, honest but rough movie critic. The lady playing Sgt Murtagh's wife, is the wonderful Darlene Love, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, singer of " Today, I met the boy I'm goin' to marry " and " Baby please come home " on Letterman for decades, every Christmas Eve ...
This one is my personal favorite. Fantastic villain. Joe Pesci is phenominal. One of my favorite series. Be sure you make it to 4. While it has plotting issues, Jet Li is awesome as the villain.
Martin Telling Trish how he lost his wife, is che's kiss. Brilliantly written scene which just show's how much Martin has come to trust his, well, surrogate family.
One of my favorite series of all time. LW2 is definitely my favorite of the four movies, with 1 and 4 closely behind ( love them both equally) LW3 receives a lot of criticism, but it’s a real solid movie.
Yay! Was thinking you weren’t going to continue. Each one is better than the last. I think the chemistry between Gibson and Glover is right up there with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
Love your contrasting reactions to Rika going to bed with Riggs. Asia: “I don’t get it. He can’t cook, he doesn’t have wine, he banged her head on the roof, and there’s a dog in the bed” BJ: “He got game!”
Your reactions were great and loved the way you’s would talk to each other through the movie but really never took your eyes off the movie. To me that’s the perfect way to watch a great movie. I hope you’s do part 3 I think you’s would love that one also. Thank you again you’s make it fun.
When I saw this in the theater, the entire audience jumped up and cheered when the cargo container was dropped. It was so thrilling and big-time justice for Riggs. I absolutely loved this movie. I guess you're going to complete the franchise? The third one is pretty damn good too.
Joe Pesci's range blows me away. I've seen all his gangster parts like Casino, Good Fellas etc. and then he pulls off a comedic part like this. Phenomenal.
'89-90: Pesci does Lethal Weapon 2, then GoodFellas, then Home Alone. Three completely different types of movies with different tones and Pesci kills it.
I agree . He even does a very poignant scene in Lethal weapon 3 or 4 when he finds Riggs at his wife's grave and tells him the story about his boyhood friend and pet Froggy . For a minute or two you almost forget that this is the same actor who puts the fear of God into Ray Liotta's character in Goodfellas who comes out with that whole menacing scene , " what you mean , I'm funny ? Funny how ? funny like a clown , like I'm here to amuse you ....."
Joe Pesci has made a few comedies - My Cousin Vinny which you watched, and then The Super, which never got love but was hella funny - worth a look… Lethal Weapon 2 is the best of the 4, but all 4 are wonderful. They get more comedic as time goes on, which helps, but this has the best balance. Fun fact, Riggs was supposed to die in 2, and that was gonna be that, but the director and actors decided against that because the characters were beloved. They tried to do the same with 4, but just couldn’t bring themselves to do it. Hope you watch the others! Keep going y’all!
Most definitely continue to watch the franchise until the very last one, Lethal Weapon 4. Although it may not be the greatest, it does end the franchise well and I think it’s worth the watch. So watch 3 and 4 please.
Yeah this movie started ushering the era of the sequel and the blockbuster. Purposely building movies around action scenes or Purposely making movies that will have sequels. A great trip down memory lane, thanks! As kids we saw funny Joe before killer Joe😆so he was always good in our book-glad he made you guys laugh this time-he's also a pretty good singer and has made albums ☺maybe you guys will react to a song one day. And of course you should watch Lethal Weapon 3. They are all great!
Take a pause here and watch National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 (1993). It's a comedy spoof of the Lethal Weapon franchise and you'll be on the floor rolling!
I love Asia reaction to the commercial. I think I watch that commercial four times now your reaction is hilarious Asia kids today they have no respect but in the 80s was all about respect. Your dad and mom. Those kind of stuff you cannot show your parents or talk about to your parents because like I said the 80s were the best. Love your reaction both of you guys. God bless you guys.

Oh man... you gotta keep watching these, 3 and 4 are fantastic as well. Well worth keeping going if you've liked them so far! Always love seeing you guys react to these classics!
There is one crazy mistake in this movie towards the end. It is not something that catches your eye immediately, but it makes you wonder how on earth did it stay in the final cut. The love interest of Riggs in this movie dies in the final scenes, but in the very last scene where they are gathered together for a party, the lady is there present and very much alive. I had seen this movie several times and never noticed it before I found out about it years later. It is amazing what you could get away with before the internet existed.
I saw this in the theater, and it was one of those movies with the kind of huge audience reactions you rarely see, but that always signals a great film.
Right now your likes are at just about 50% of your views...let's see where that ratio is in 6 hours. I believe you two get far more likes than SCREW tube is allowing. God bless you both.
Keep going! Please! The next two are just as good or better! And Joe Pesci is a treasure. The chemistry between everyone is perfect. Rogers family is played by all the same actors throughout. So you get to see them all grow up.

An another Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
One of my favorite series of all time. LW2 is definitely my favorite of the four movies, with 1 and 4 closely behind ( love them both equally)
LW3 receives a lot of criticism, but it’s a real solid movie.
3 and 4 are waiting for you to watch now!
Fun fact: Riggs DID die. They had him survive based on audience reaction. There's also a version where Rika survived.
I have a Lethal Weapon Too. It's a very strong Fart Spray. Just two scoots is enough to empty a Pub/Bar.
Yay! Was thinking you weren’t going to continue. Each one is better than the last. I think the chemistry between Gibson and Glover is right up there with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
Time for Lethal Weapon 3 yall, yall be sleeping for a minute now
Love your contrasting reactions to Rika going to bed with Riggs.
Asia: “I don’t get it. He can’t cook, he doesn’t have wine, he banged her head on the roof, and there’s a dog in the bed”
BJ: “He got game!”
Your reactions were great and loved the way you’s would talk to each other through the movie but really never took your eyes off the movie. To me that’s the perfect way to watch a great movie. I hope you’s do part 3 I think you’s would love that one also. Thank you again you’s make it fun.
This series just keeps being great; I really hope you watch the next two.
When I saw this in the theater, the entire audience jumped up and cheered when the cargo container was dropped. It was so thrilling and big-time justice for Riggs. I absolutely loved this movie. I guess you're going to complete the franchise? The third one is pretty damn good too.
I am so glad you did this, it is a great sequel. They are so fun to watch❤
I love the Lethal Weapon franchise, in each movie they step up with the bad guys and introduce a new main character in each...no spoilers 😂
Fun fact: Leo says "OK" 105 times in this movie
The Lethal weapon movies are just absolute gold! Perfect action/humor movies!
Fun fact: The lead villain in this movie, Arjen Rudd? That was English actor Joss Ackland, who was also the villain in the first Bill & Ted movie
Definitely watch Lethal Weapon 3 AND 4. It's a really solid series of movies all the way through.
Fun fact: the guy who was shot in the office and fell on the plastic was Boggs The Rapist from Shawshank Redemption. Mark Rolston
Love the videos! Not sure if you noticed but this only uploaded at 480P (too many comments to see if this was mentioned already). Not a big deal on a phone but on my TV... a little blurry. Otherwise, great content, love watching you guys!
25:17 Compressed air toils are interesting. I have an old Paslode battery operated air compressor. It's very compact weighs about 3 pounds. It's so old that it will only shoot about 20 brads on the old batteries. It does come in handy.
love your reaction to all your content so far, Lethal Weapon movies are an all time favourite of mine, used to watch them with my Grandad as a kid. Looking forward to see you react to Lethal Weapon 3
One thing about Lethal Weapon, they are all good movies.
Oh man... you gotta keep watching these, 3 and 4 are fantastic as well. Well worth keeping going if you've liked them so far! Always love seeing you guys react to these classics!
This has the same vibe as Die Hard 1. This came out a year later. Saw it theaters back in 89'. These two are hilarious together.
32:26 - Asia: *pointing* "That's the signal!"
😆🤣
You guys kill me! LOL
Glad y’all came back to this one, definitely gonna love the last two. Personally the 3rd is my favorite
I saw this in the theater, and it was one of those movies with the kind of huge audience reactions you rarely see, but that always signals a great film.
Hank from Breaking Bad! @5:12.
I had no idea he was in this movie.
Parts 3 & 4 are even better!! ❤ Y’all had me cracking up on this one! 😂😂 Mel Gibson is one of my favorites!
Im from the UK . Asia, what Is written on your tee shirt ?
Does it say mavs fan for life?!
If so love it lol! My late mom's name was Mavis but was called Mav , if that's what it says I love it !! . Love your and BJ's reactions. Lots of love from a 62 Yr old granny here in the UK. x
I was thinking the same thing... make sure you're never standing on plastic... in any situation... ok! 🤣🤣🤣
Now, time for Lethal Weapon 3! LOL There are four Lethal Weapon movies and in my opinion, they are all great. Each movie brings in a new character. I have seen them all, and I love them all.. You gotta keep going.
5:11 it’s hank from Breaking Bad
29:46 "the door is AJAR" my boy would've been a great 80's action writer
Hope you do the whole series. What's neat about the series is I've heard every movie referred to as someone's favorite. Mine is 4 with this as a very close 2nd. But I love them all
