Redbubble spends more time censoring critics than they do addressing the mass intellectual property violations in their marketplace. It's more profitable to pay an employee to monitor social media than to remove content that they KNOW is intellectual property infringement. Redbubble has a long and sordid history of going to court with copyright holders instead of moderating the content. The reason for this is simple; they would lose MILLIONS if they actually removed the violating content. Other POD companies such as Threadless, Spreadhsirt, CafePress, Society6 and Teespring all use proprietary software to purge known copyrighted works before they are even uploaded. Redbubble has the means to do the same thing. Martin Hosking CHOOSES not to use the software. They know exactly what they are doing. They know most copyright holders won;t pursue litigation and the ones who do will be tied up in court for so long that the company will make millions on their works before a judge orders its removal. This company hides behind "third party" status and tries to claim the copyright moderation is the obligation of the shop keeper or artist uploading the design. They refuse to take any responsibility for it. No other POD company on the market behaves this way. This is a terrible company and if you are shopping or selling on this platform YOU are part of the problem. You are enabling these people to steal from other artists and copyright holders. Many artists try to dismiss this by telling themselves "everybody does it" or "Redbubble is doing the best they can to prevent it". Neither of those statements is true. Every POD company DOES NOT do this. And even if they did, how does that make it right in any way? No, the truth is, the people selling on this platform need the money and they don't want to sacrifice it over morals and ethics. Folks, this is why the world we live in sucks. Everybody wants to virtue signal and pretend they care, but in actuality it's all just about image. Redbubble will be the first to make a post on social media about blacklivesmatter or LGBTQ rights, but then they allow mass intellectual property theft on their platform and rob people every day. Does that seem like a company that cares to you? If you are selling or buying on Redbubble you are part of the problem. This company could not exist if you didn't shop or sell here. Plain and simple. These people don't lose any sleep at night over the outright theft of copyright. But if it became a societal issue that they could slap on a shirt and wear around town to show everyone what wonderful human beings they were, they'd be all about it. They'd wear this cause like they wear LGBTQ rights or Blacklivesmatter. The faux outrage would be off the charts. But they can steal copyright all day without your average person knowing about it. Suddenly being a good human isn't their identity. It's what you do when nobody is looking that defines who you are. And this company doesn't want you to see who they really are. That's why they spend more time trying to censor blog comments than simply removing the copyright protected works from their marketplace. They can't even deny it. KPAK3H.com/blog
Remember, You don't have to be good to get started but you do have to get started if you ever want to be any good. Get in the game guys! YOU can do it! There is so much FREE information online like these videos to learn what you need to know to get started. :)
I’ve ordered a sweatshirt, a water bottle and I ordered 2 of the same masks a few days ago. I’m really happy with the sweatshirt and the water bottle. The delivery came between the 2 dates they mentioned when I ordered so no delays. I’m just happy I can buy South Park stuff for an affordable price.
It's the quality of their materials. Also if someone returns the product due to low quality. They return the money but don't take it from the artist. Loss is only from their pockets
+1 pros ,on redbubble you can choose your payment method to a bank account or to paypal but other marketplaces they only pay by paypal +1 cons . . if you choose paypal as payment method in the beginning you can't change it after that .. thank you for sharing ! we are waiting for your next video .
Thank-you so much for this video! I didn't know about Redbubble and I think it would be a great way for me to get some of my artwork out there (just starting out). Congratulations on hitting 1k subscribers, looking forward to seeing more of your content :)

Thank you for making this very helpful video - I knew nothing about Redbubble until today. It's really nice (and encouraging) to hear a video from someone who's "been there and done that"! I think I'll give it a go - but first I'll watch your video on uploading. :)
Congratulations to 1000 subscribers! You are my inspiration to create a redbubble account. I looked at your profile and I love all your designs! And I always enjoy watching your vidoes. :))
You are very lovely, well spoken and generous to us all with your extensive and detailed content, and your pleasant voice only adds to the picture. You are one of the finest YT influences online. Thank you for everything. You are #1 🌹💐🌹✍️🧿🌟✨🍾

Alexandra, how do you take care of sales taxes on Redbubble. I've seen different answers to this question. Is it the artist's responsibility to collect and remit it or Redbubbles?? Thanks for any info you may have.

I disagree about the effort part - the amount of effort for the artist much more valuable than the commission indicates for me my art takes time and Redbubble is a machine where everything is automatic.
ive actually been considering on making my art into merch for a while, but since i only have 30 subs and 100 followers on insta, i feel like i shouldn't. do you think there should be a certain time to when you start making stuff? if so when could it be? thanks for the awesome video it really helped btw ^^
I feel like as long as you tag them well it doesn't really matter how many followers you have. Go on and make one, you never know how well it might turn out!
I watched a vid about Instagram advertising. The vid said to make a new Instagram account SOLELY on your products. Some fun fact about it, models wearing/using it. It isnt about your followers really, it's how you tag each postm
I literally only have a platform on tik tok and I have about 56 followers, many of whom can't buy stuff online, they are kids. But I started with redbubble early this year, boosted it with one post, got no sales, kind of forgot about it, until late July, when I made my first sale and I started marketing more than ever. So really, the platform isnt always a factor. Not for me anyway.
CON: you can create a few designs (non offensive and non copyrighted) and they may suspend you before you even put “for sale” on public. You lose all that work and will never get your site back because they have terrible customer service. You’ll have to recreate another account on another computer or else they will catch that too and their system can tell if your developing another account from the same IP address, even if you use a VPN.
My only Redbubble sales have been a cup I bought for my mom and a shirt I bought for a bday for a friend lol but the product quality was nice and worth the money. I can’t wait to make a real sale and I wanna buy one of my own hoodies lmfao. If anything I can rep my own designs lol
thanks for sharing! you explained everything honestly and it was very helpful :) im currently trying to decide if it is worth putting in the time on redbubble so this was super helpful for me
I really enjoying watching your videos! They are Amazing and really helpful! Especially for beginners! All the information I need to know, is all in it! Thanks a million!
As an artist I opened an account yesterday and was suspended within 24 hours, without any definitive reason. I had to send a mugshot, like a common criminal, in order to try and get my account reinstated. After reading other artist's reviews, as well as customers, I'm glad this happened and I'd only uploaded a handful of images. I won't be dealing with them in future as an artist, nor a customer.
Keywords are things like: stickers, mugs, chibi, food etc. Some people don't know that you dont have to look up the product for it to show up. That could get you to pop up on the searches more :)

If starting then be warned that on Redbubble - people will stealing your designs, making copy right claims against you on the designs you created and uploaded to your store, for all your hard work you've put in Redbubble will most likely delete your account instead of dealing with the issue in hand.
I have a question so basically I create a Redbubble account, load up my designs and choose a merchandiser to create and attach my pay pal acc. When one of my t-shirt designs are purchased do they charge my credit card for the shipping or to cover the production cost of the product ? then repay me when they receive the customer's payment so to speak by paying me a commission? I guess my question is my PayPal or card charged for any reason during the process?
I believe they control all of the shipping and production costs but then you only get a margin of that sale you could also control that margin by markup on products
Woow this is some good content! Keep them coming woman. I also started at Redbubble one month a go and I see the sales are coming :D Really like your vids. Keep it up, got my support!!

I created an account over there before watching your video, my first design for a mom and it seems I could not pick a woman model, it has men modeling the mom shirt, looked weird, so I have to back over and understand it better, thanks
I feel if you don't like marketing then redbubble and merch by Amazon are the best because teespring does not market your products where as both of these sites show your products no matter what your trust score is
@@AlexandraStrambu i also have store but not much sales is happening ,after i saw your videos i got inspired to put more design , so please check my store and suggest me where am i going wrong i will post my store link below www.redbubble.com/people/gpsapparel
My stickers keep getting removed when they’re all original. So I made a mean girls sticker pack but it gets removed because it was copyrighted to the original mean girls so what do i do
I had RB delete one of my pictures because apparently it was _copyright infringement_ (it was fanart) yet I've seen people upload literal copyrighted photos that they did not take or create and are able to make 1000s of sales from it! RB can be kind of sketchy and seem to call the shots randomly. I just don't understand how people can take pictures of celebrities from Google images and make a collage out of it and make momey, but if I made fanart for a cartoon it gets taken down. It's bullshit!
@@b1njjj95 Fanart is copyright infringement when you try to sell it. Redbubble can't manage the millions of things people upload, so it may have been a take down notice they received that caused your work to be removed.
@@Ken.- Not really, because it's my work that I created. I get that it's artwork for a licensed TV series, but it's not the same as the thousands of pictures of actual copyrighted material, like screenshots and promotional posters that are being re-uploaded onto RB that get sales. Yeah, well RB should really have better system in place to monitor actual copyright infringement because it's not fair that people are making money off of stolen posters and screenshots while artists that make real art get their work flagged.
@@b1njjj95 Doesn't matter if you created it. Using the likeness of images you don't own is copyright infringement. As for redbubble's system, like I said, they may have received a takedown notice. Most websites aren't in the business of policing their users. They would have no way of knowing if a particular work is a violation of someone's copyright or if the user has permission. If the owners of the work you've made Fanart of are overly aggressive in protecting their copyright, then your going to see your work taken down.
I have been on redbubble for a couple of years now and the major con for me is that I have sold next to nothing except 1 thing. I have recently taken down a lot of my work and rebranded my self by focusing on film poster designs hoping there is a bigger a market for that. im not sure if its just beating the algorithm or if luck is not on my side.
Is it absolutely necessary to add a vat number when you set up your account? I opened the store I have on teespring on redbubble as well but when I add the payment details I can't proceed without a VAT number. Is there a workaround to add it later?
I Order a hoodie and it is supposed to come today. It haven’t come yet and I am getting really mad because it been a month now.😭😤 my hoodie cost like $40-50😭😭
Salim Serrano since these are fan made things it might take awhile to come because theirs a lot of different places where they have to ship To Redbubble. But, I finally got it after a week it was supposed to come. I just think they need to do better and at least ship on the right day it says.
@@IStoleParkJiminJams , makes one wonder if in this site they give more leeway for designers to control shipping times, or more of that responsibility still falls on the RB intermediary, similar to that 'other' site..
I thought about this when I was starting out too! I ended up deciding to keep just one store and use the collections feature because the more artwork you have the more likely you are to make sales. Maybe if your niches are complete opposites then open 2 separate ones but otherwise I would just do one!
Alexandra Strambu | Thanks ! I think I’ll open a different account for my photography/artistic work, and keep the current one mainly for simple/trendy tshirt designs
@@AlexandraStrambu I heard you sell more if you have a nitch, but to me it is too limiting. Then I heard on a video that if you sell something it will only be from one niche and you should stick with that one.I have everything but the kitchen sink on mine. I sold a cartoon animal, and a van gogh painting and they are completely the opposite of eachother. One thing I did hear on a video was to open more than one store so if you get kicked off, you still have another one. You really do not know if you are going to lose your store, and then they probably won''t let you copy your items for sale. I am putting the same exact things on cafepress, just in case, which is a lot easer to use than redbubble.
I really hope someone can reach out and answer this: I just started a redbubble, and I am intimidated with dealing with the taxes side of things. Do I have to file taxes for this? Say I only sell a little, do I still file taxes? I read the section they have written about the taxes..but I am only 21 and new to the world of taxes. Please help!
I believe you put it in as hobby income under misc. income until you make a certain amount. Once you reach a certain threshold, most sites will send you a tax document.
Hi, I liked your video and I just have some questions, Im new on Redbubble and I was just wondering how can I get more organic traffic to my designs besides tags? Also how can I find niches to work on? Thank you for sharing 😁
I hope you are always happy and have many many video ideas, but don't forget, since you do have a charm and have charmed more than 2k people, you can take any subject and create a video out of it. Almost anything 😁 thanks and hope to see more ❤😙
Thanks a lot for your video . It's so inspiring !! I'm just wondering if someone ordered my artwork and then decided to cancel the order . Will I have to pay back anything to redbubble ?
Thanks for watching :) nope you won't! It will just move into your "cancelled sales" section and it won't be paid out to you. That's one of the reasons you have to wait a couple weeks for your sales to clear
@@AlexandraStrambu stunning, I subscribed and I'd love to hear from you more :D ! also, Redbubble must ask for special profissional photography settings, right, such as big format... I'm curious
Ironically, I subscribed just for her, the vlogger, fine English language .. don't get me wrong she, of course, bringing good content, other than the language, but as i said, for me it's about learning English .. i think am doing well so far
I made my first sale a few weeks ago! It says the sale is still pending... is this normal for it to take this long (it was a mask so that could that be why?) love your channel 💖
Each product has it's own production timeline and masks seem to be the slowest (likely because they have to be stitched after they're printed) . I've made a few mask sales and they tend to take about 3-4 weeks to clear.
@@riya1942 I've had my RB shop for a year now. I think it took a couple of months for my first sale to happen and since then I've 91 sales for a grand total of $223.66! So I can't see it will ever be anything other than a hobby. But it's a fun hobby. My Shop: www.redbubble.com/people/Square-Jane/shop?asc=u
hi thanks a lot for your videos. i am on redbubble since quite half a year but i haven´t sold anything. it is not so much fun now, but i have to say i am not very active now, because it deprimises me, when i earn nothing. but now i will be more active und upload pictures. how long did it take you sold the first thing?
Hey thank you so much for the quick response! Ive been researching a lot about redbubble. I just started about a week ago. This tip really helps. Most of my designs are patterns not suited for shirts with design borders. Should I still include those or just make a separate design? My shop username is HebHenderson . The banner says wearical.
So if I upload and figure out the art, Redbubble will put it on a shirt/bag/etc. as necessary and send it out when it is ordered? My main question is on material; am I going to have to create the items myself?
You create the art, they print it on the items. You have zero overhead, but they do so thats why you only make a fraction of the total cost of the item. You make about $7 per shirt that sells for $20 dollars. Which if you think about it isnt bad because you are making money off of a virtual product that can be infinitely replicated with zero overhead.
Bruh my account got banned then Redbubble told me that I “stole people’s artwork” when I literally drew and designed everything on my store myself… Yet there’s people selling official art from video games or picrew art not even made by them on there making bank from those… And hell, I literally wrote my name and the date it was created on all of my artwork so that’s proof that I don’t steal
I just had my account suspended by Redbubble with no specific explanation, only a generic list of possible reasons, which don't apply. It seems as though this has been a problem with many others. Not that big a deal for me. I'm mostly trying to sell my photographs, and sales were very rare in 3 or 4 years on Redbubble. I hadn't uploaded too many images to the site. Buyer and seller beware. They can suspend your account with little opportunity to appeal.
Can we talk about if you have to file taxes for red bubble as an individual artist? I have only made $2 selling my work, but I was curious if this would be a problem in the future?
Hi , I have a question about promoting products, i want to promote on my Pinterest account, nut I don't know what to pin. Should i pin the design in a tshirt or in a sticker...??? Or just pin the image?
I would definitely pin it on a shirt or sticker so people know they have the option to buy it! If it’s just the design they won’t know that they can get a product with that design on it
Hi can you plz tell me in what size do you take your pictures to post on redbubble products, for to use it on my duvet sets and stickers. (basically one size to use on all products?) plz reply. Just came across ur channel and I like ur content. Thanks in advance.

I’m really happy with the sweatshirt and the water bottle. The delivery came between the 2 dates they mentioned when I ordered so no delays.
I’m just happy I can buy South Park stuff for an affordable price.
SouthPark is heavily copyrighted, so just know if a store is selling that kind of stuff it could be here today, gone tomorrow.
I’m gonna buy a Kirby shirt and I’m just confused on how to purchase it? I use credit card so would that work?
Isn't it WEIRD that Redbubble sets TONS of reviews on a product you've made when you've never actually made a sale?
I think it has something to do with the quality of the products sinds they are the same
That’s what I was wondering
It's the quality of their materials. Also if someone returns the product due to low quality. They return the money but don't take it from the artist. Loss is only from their pockets
It’s about the product not the design

+1 pros ,on redbubble you can choose your payment method to a bank account or to paypal but other marketplaces they only pay by paypal
+1 cons . . if you choose paypal as payment method in the beginning you can't change it after that ..

I disagree about the effort part - the amount of effort for the artist much more valuable than the commission indicates for me my art takes time and Redbubble is a machine where everything is automatic.
the whole process is very time consuming even if you don't make your own art.
ive actually been considering on making my art into merch for a while, but since i only have 30 subs and 100 followers on insta, i feel like i shouldn't. do you think there should be a certain time to when you start making stuff? if so when could it be? thanks for the awesome video it really helped btw ^^

I love this.Thank you for this.Found you today and this is the third of your videos I have watched and will watch more tomorrow :)

I want to know, please give a strategy of giving a good title, description and keywords. Thank you friend is there instagram? What is the name?

No you will not be charged

They'd wear this cause like they wear LGBTQ rights or Blacklivesmatter. The faux outrage would be off the charts. But they can steal copyright all day without your average person knowing about it. Suddenly being a good human isn't their identity. It's what you do when nobody is looking that defines who you are. And this company doesn't want you to see who they really are. That's why they spend more time trying to censor blog comments than simply removing the copyright protected works from their marketplace. They can't even deny it.

Congrats for 1500 already!!! Growing so fast 😍 Can't wait to start a Redbubble as well 😊
Redbubble spends more time censoring critics than they do addressing the mass intellectual property violations in their marketplace. Do you get a copy right for your photos and art work first before putting it on red bubble for sale to protect your work? Thank you!
I created an account over there before watching your video, my first design for a mom and it seems I could not pick a woman model, it has men modeling the mom shirt, looked weird, so I have to back over and understand it better, thanks
Thanks for this, happy New year. God bless you 🙂🙏🏼❤️

I actually loves designing not marketing. Out of teespring, redbubble and spreadshirt which I have to do least marketing ?and earn more profit?

I feel if you don't like marketing then redbubble and merch by Amazon are the best because teespring does not market your products where as both of these sites show your products no matter what your trust score is

@@AlexandraStrambu i also have store but not much sales is happening ,after i saw your videos i got inspired to put more design , so please check my store and suggest me where am i going wrong i will post my store link below

My stickers keep getting removed when they’re all original. So I made a mean girls sticker pack but it gets removed because it was copyrighted to the original mean girls so what do i do
Send them a message?
I love this. Keep going congrats on 1000 subscribers 🎉
Thanks for the support!! 🤩

I have got many reviews for my product but there is no sale ...why?
Is it absolutely necessary to add a vat number when you set up your account? I opened the store I have on teespring on redbubble as well but when I add the payment details I can't proceed without a VAT number. Is there a workaround to add it later?
I have sold two items and I was neve asked for a vat number, or do I know what it is.
Which products are the best selling? Stickers?
I Order a hoodie and it is supposed to come today. It haven’t come yet and I am getting really mad because it been a month now.😭😤 my hoodie cost like $40-50😭😭
oh, my! wondering where it's coming from;-(
Salim Serrano since these are fan made things it might take awhile to come because theirs a lot of different places where they have to ship
To Redbubble.
I just opened my redbubble shop today. Thanks for sharing so much info 😊
Sorry if my question is kinda random but, do you recommend opening 1 redbubble account per niche ? Or should I just use the 'collections' feature ?
I am new to Redbubble just trying to figure out where I go to set my 20%, 15% for my commissions! Thank you Alexandra
Same
I believe you put it in as hobby income under misc. income until you make a certain amount. Once you reach a certain threshold, most sites will send you a tax document.
Wait so selling on Redbubble isn’t completely free? Like they charge you eventually?

Thanks a lot for your video . It's so inspiring !! I'm just wondering if someone ordered my artwork and then decided to cancel the order . Will I have to pay back anything to redbubble ?
Thanks for watching :) nope you won't! It will just move into your "cancelled sales" section and it won't be paid out to you. That's one of the reasons you have to wait a couple weeks for your sales to clear

I made my first sale a few weeks ago! It says the sale is still pending... is this normal for it to take this long (it was a mask so that could that be why?) love your channel 💖
I think so because it still needs to send the product
Yes that's completely normal! Sometimes it can take up to a month to clear
Each product has it's own production timeline and masks seem to be the slowest (likely because they have to be stitched after they're printed) . I've made a few mask sales and they tend to take about 3-4 weeks to clear.

It took me 3 months and it was definitely worth it in the end!
Do you get a notification every time you sell something?
Hello. I have a question. Should I focus on a few sets of products or should I enable every product?
I always enable every product because you never know what someone is looking for! Although there will prob be a set products your image is ideal for
Hey thank you so much for the quick response! Ive been researching a lot about redbubble. I just started about a week ago. This tip really helps. Most of my designs are patterns not suited for shirts with design borders. Should I still include those or just make a separate design? My shop username is HebHenderson . The banner says wearical.
could you tell me where can we find our money?
(after the income)
PayPal
In whatever payout method you use because it would be sent automatically
So if I upload and figure out the art, Redbubble will put it on a shirt/bag/etc. as necessary and send it out when it is ordered?
My main question is on material; am I going to have to create the items myself?
You create the art, they print it on the items. You have zero overhead, but they do so thats why you only make a fraction of the total cost of the item. You make about $7 per shirt that sells for $20 dollars. Which if you think about it isnt bad because you are making money off of a virtual product that can be infinitely replicated with zero overhead.
@@alfredharrison597 That makes sense, thank you so much for clearing that up!!!

Bruh my account got banned then Redbubble told me that I “stole people’s artwork” when I literally drew and designed everything on my store myself…
Yet there’s people selling official art from video games or picrew art not even made by them on there making bank from those…
And hell, I literally wrote my name and the date it was created on all of my artwork so that’s proof that I don’t steal
They can suspend your account with little opportunity to appeal.
is there a limit how many designs you can upload to Redbubble?
Can we talk about if you have to file taxes for red bubble as an individual artist? I have only made $2 selling my work, but I was curious if this would be a problem in the future?
I am sure you will have to pay taxes and they will send it to the irs.

If it’s just the design they won’t know that they can get a product with that design on it
Can we upload normal nature trip pics also..
