Tylosaurus is the upcoming apex aquatic creature for path of titans, and out of all the aquatics its up there with leedsichthys as one of the most exciting creatures to come to the game. And most likely one of the most hyped, so what will it be like in path of titans? what was it like anyways? and when will it come to the game?

Path of Titans is an upcoming MMO RPG Dinosaur survival game, created by Alderon Games. The game has been in production for just over a year and is already looking set to become one of the most successful dinosaur games of all time.
Path of Titans is set to enter early access in September 2020 and has already racked up over $300,000 from crowdfunding. It has an extremely dedicated community and a dedicated team of developers who are providing huge amounts of content for us.

i would love if they gave tylosaurus that same sleeky underwater turn as megalania that would show how related it is to monitor lizards and would be cool imagine a tylosaurus swimming like a snake!
I hope they add an advanced mechanism to fighting between creatures, for example, they make you able to hold the opponent's neck, and the faster you press intermittently on the designated button, the stronger the bite pressure will be, and the faster the opponent presses, the faster he will escape from the bite
I do feel they need to add some sort of grab feature for some of the aquatics. The isle has where a croc can momentarily grab other dinos to drag them into the water. The full aquatics will be relatively useless because if people aren't having any pvp they won't play them. Kai are already not really played because the ocean is empty and they will die to any semi-aquatic currently if they go into the rivers.

Grab/latch features are confirmed for allo, sarco, and both raptors. Wouldn’t doubt it coming to some aquatics but those 4 are the officially confirmed ones

Tylosaurus is the aquatic Wizard Lizard of the Cretaceous era. EVERYTHING lived in fear of this monster. It's been documented that even a Mosasaurus on rare occasion, fell Victim to Tylosaurus, due to sharing the same stretch of the Western Interior Sea. I am SO hyped for Tylo to come to POT, so I can relive all those famous scenes from National Geographic's "Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure", and their Tylosaurus. CANNOT WAIT!!!

@@gogeta1241 Ah, this is both true AND false. As early Mosasaurus developed after Dallasaurus, the Ginsu Shark, Cretoxirhina (It's close to that, pardon my spelling lol) WAS eating a lot of Mosasaurs. But as they evolved, they quickly became bigger and bigger. It has been found that Ginsu sharks actively Scavenged Tylosaurus carcasses and younger Tylosaurs, but once it grew to a Sub Adult to full size, it was well above the Shark's weight class. Tylosaurus and other Large Mosasaurs are one of the biggest reasons The Ginsu Shark went extinct.
It would be amazing to have underwater tunnels and air pockets between trips of going in and out of Gondwa and Panjura. It's like island hopping, but underwater.

I hope that the tylosaurus gets a ramming ability that stuns it’s prey for a few seconds as scientists think that it might have done so in real life. I also hope that it’s faster and more agile as tylosaurus irl would have been decently fast and crazy agile due to a slender build and tail fluke
that would be a really cool ability i think! something to do with its tail might work too
A ramming ability would be great because Tylosaurus in the actual fossil record anem means knob lizard referring to it knob like nose. Tylosaurus proriger is a mosasaurid species from the late cretaceous found in North America or the Niobrara formation it possibly may have met tyrannosaurus rex a few times and also is bigger than Mosasaurus hoffmanni itself. Great video mate.

I don’t agree with the no nictating membrane, it’s a aquatic not semi it born and lives every second in the water. It should see a little farther than nictating membrane on sarco
You’re right, it was something that actually wasn’t in the original script for the video, I kinda just started mentioning it as another option.

Love hanging out in the ocean in the game. Alot less kos players in the ocean and you get the chance to really get into the creature your playing. Not to mention some of the areas in the ocean are so pretty.

Tylosaurus will be the apex predator of the ocean in path of titans yes it is confirmed to get added along with the other aquatics such as leedsichthys and the next Eurhinosaurus along with hatzegopteryx and ofc the rest of the upcoming dinosaurs I agree to everything you say and it will be fun to play as

I really hope that they add some sort of sense for Tylosaurus that helps it find prey in the ocean. I don't have a problem with how big the ocean is but it would be nice to see some sort of ability to make it feel smaller. I also hope that they release it as the same time as Eurhinosaurus so that there are more players in the ocean at the same time when released so really expose people to what aquatic gameplay could be.
yea i think mainly there could be some more stuff to do with the ocean, like better missions and some areas a bit more full of life, i think AI dinos will help more too
Tylosaurus proriger is actually the largest tylosaurus. A recent study done by Rempert reassigned bernardi back in it's originally assigned genus Hainosaurus, thus revalidating this genus which was formerly thought to be dubious.
I remember asking about tylosaurus over a month ago so I’ve been eagerly waiting for this video! Thanks Velocci this was great! I know what my new favorite dino will be.

Tylosaurus was far too heavy to drag itself onto the beach and it’s limbs wouldn’t have been strong enough for it to move on land.
@bradenhoefert2109 everyone says that about Prehistoric Sea Creatures but if you really think about it, if Seals and Walruses were extinct long before us we would have said the exact same thing about them just because they have back legs that barely help them walk.

@@TytofisCafe Tylosaurus weighed probably 4 or 5 times more than the heaviest walrus. I get your point, but it's pretty clear from a walrus skeleton that the limbs are weight-bearing, and super clear from mosasaur skeletons that their limbs weren't.
@bradenhoefert2109 if you really want to bring weight into the debate, consider that lots of animals today have no problem dragging around their own weight, Walruses weigh as much as a truck yet they move around quite quickly especially if they are in danger. And Archelon was probably 20 times heavier than a Walrus but it probably nested the same way as Seaturtles. "Too fat to go on land" isn't a valid argument in this case. We will never truly know unless we were there to witness it but that's not possible. But I will forever stick to my opinion.
Between this and the upcoming mods, PoT is gonna be so much more awesome.

I really like these theorizing type of videos you make. You should expand this format to some good mods too. Where you just focus on one, educate us about the dinosaurs in real life, how it could be done in game and so on. I felt like I learned stuff about it here lol.
Like I know my current animals pretty well, but the prehistoric ones not so much.
It’s a good idea! Kinda like a “dinosaur wish list” and then go into proper detail about what it could be!

I would like somekind of Sonar System. That gives only general directions of living Stuff. In a Visual Style. Tbh. i do not like the better sight under Water. Its quite Powerful and maybe a bit too powerful for my liking. Also, it destroys a bit of Vibe underwater :D For People that are focused on fighting, this maybe is a great thing, but for me. I don't know. But we'll see how and if everything will be implemented in the End. Changes too much right now to say anything at all.
A grab mechanic sounds absolutely great. Powerful aswell, but balancable i would say. Needs testing.
Stun sounds interesting and realistic in a sense. Recent Animals have so much unique and sometimes almost surreal kinds of behaivior and techniques, its amazing. There is so much stuff we can borrow and put on prehistoric Animals in Games.
PoT lacks a bit ... dynamic Gameplay atm for me. Not exactly what i want to say, but well.
Also, i hope for better lighting underwater. The World itself looks wonderful. But the Animals and Lighting/Shadows look bad.

A large, yet unpublished specimen FHSM VP-2496 suggest that Tylosaurus may have reached 17-18m long, its skull alone is estimated at 2m.
I would like to see things like a Titanboa in the future. Make things diverse instead of just standard theropods.

I’m curious how nesting would work in path of titans. Male and female have to do the deed for the female to lay eggs. I’m sure the devs wouldn’t add copulation and if they did they would probably censor it somehow.
They wouldn’t and don’t need to add an actual breeding scene.
i think you just need a male and female in a group, but we dont know yet
In The Isle Evirma you just do the nest making and courting dances and then voila female can lay eggs 🤷♀️
I wouldn’t mind if they made it how the isle does it. Nothing wrong with keeping things simple without the gross stuff.

Just saying with how closely related tylosaurus is to monitor lizards and sea snake’s it’s not crazy to assume they had some sort of venom. Just sayin they may go with a venomous tylo for gameplay purposes

Tylosaurus is cool but, Meh...I made the Aquatic Dinos and all it is, is swimming around and doing nothing. Been up a few river and on the rare occasion of running into a croc, or some random dino crossing the river. Right now playing aquatic is lame.
