- Dr Chris Brown is in Thailand to assist with Asian elephant conservation. These endangerred animals are under serious threat, and this one in particular has some huge abscesses from a life of mistreatment. Chris has the gross job of draining the lumps, is he up to the task?

I can't stand people who use and abuse animals. These poor animals are beaten into submission and used till they can't anymore.

@@nanu7750 why not? Wolves hunt deer to eat. Its part of the circle of life. We're a part of that cycle like it or not. Even if you only eat veggies, the land you grow those veggies on used to be habitat for thousands of species. Respecting nature and balancing human interferance with these natural habits is the only way to ensure we keep the earth for future generations.
So humans use other humans wats the difference I'll wait?

It’s very upsetting that the number of elephants are so small. They are such beautiful animals and need to be respected by more of us
Maybe not the most glamorous job to drain 6 abscesses from an elephant but I have a feeling that when you do an elephant a real good turn such as relieving he/she of pain they are pretty grateful and like to show their appreciation.

I will never understand how someone could abuse such a majestic creature. I mean any animal at all, but especially such amazing ones.
Also, I would love to be able to give an elephant a bath, I think thats something I'd remember forever.

@Dale Hammers Animals for livestock are abused their entire lives. Yes I can tell the difference. I don't know why that is sad though. Think.... speak....
@@Juandongduck as someone who has family that are ranchers I can assure you that you are ignorant. Yes some are, but those are hit hard with fines and such when found. You should try that thinking think you speak of.

Have fewer children or no children, then we can start to balance things out. Also more educational outreach is required to stop abuse and exploitation.

What a lovely elephant, I can’t believe how docile she is despite the life she lived
I don’t know the Dutchman’s name but he is truly a gift from God and a blessing to all the abused creatures he gives aid to on a daily basis. Seeing Dr. Chris helping these elephants is heartwarming and inspiring. Also seeing his sensational body without his shirt is just frosting on a cake. Lol!
All use Dutchman are pretty cool. My gorgeous wife and l, RIP... rescued well over 100 animals. SHE always said that animals meant more to her than most people.

I’m glad that Giga Chad spared some time to heal the animals of this world.
It's hard to believe that these beautiful elephants are dying out because of people abusing them. Humanity is good at destroying animals, plants and the planet. I hope people wise up before it's to late. I'm glad there are people taking care of animals like these people.

I've been thru and seen so many horrendous things, but nothing brings tears to my eyes more than seeing any animal suffer. This guy is a saint for helping the elephants and wildlife in that area, it's too bad there's not more people like him.

Poor babies, I’m so sorry for all of their suffering, but am also very glad that they are being cared for and being treated like the majestic elephant that they are. I also pray that their hearts will heal as they are treated with the love and care they deserve. GOD bless and protect these sanctuaries and heroes who are dedicated to the animal kingdom, and who rescue, care for and love the beautiful creatures that they find.
They should treat these elephants like gold.

How could people be so cruel to such beautiful animals
It's like my daddy used to say... "Don't ever burn bridges that you don't have to... and even then, do whatever you can to not have to burn them because you never know when you may meet them again... they may become your boss... Always treat others with kindness and respect as you move up in the world because you'll see them oon your way down again!" I miss my Poppa! I'll see him again soon.
While I am sure there are those that simply don't care about abusing the animal that they are using to bring in money, I also want to believe that very many of them see this big thick skinned beast and overestimate what they can endure.
I had a Thai friend that told me they used to support their parents by doing elephant ride tourism. He always used the stick because he was taught that elephants had such thick skin, it only felt like a tap to them. He said one day one of the tourists turned out to be a foreign zoologist told him about how the stick actually harmed the elephant to a great degree and pointed out the lumps of formed abscesses. My friend thought they were just lumps that elephants got over, time. He said that's when he stopped doing the trade.
So a lot of people that get into the tourism trade are actually taught bad information.
That is why I was happy to hear the rescuer say he went from showing his anger to explaining to the person what is wrong with the way they treated the elephant. You can rescue all the animals you want, but one of the best ways to reduce bad behavior is through the education of people.
Poor elephants that were abused. Thank God they were rescued and they are being taken care of

Big change since the 70s. These beast now use the roads that were not there 45 years ago. I'm tickled these animals like the ease of using smooth roads instead of jumping bushes. Sweet.

This is so sad! Laws need to be put in place to safeguard the elephant’s lives. Is not Thailand not concerned at the drastic drop of their numbers. How can other countries help?

My daughter, my niece , and myself were at the Abilene Texas zoo. My daughter was pulling the Locus tree beans off the tree and feeding the elephants,as she did often. The elephants had ate the trees on their side of the fence, my daughter could know longer reach the beans, so the elephants started butting the tree to help her retreated the beans. My daughter replied “ their only in there because they want to be.”
Captivity is so sad 😢. Glad this guy was saved and taken care of.
