Inku Xuan Thanks ! Skills guide is so... difficult, because of the skill's name and description is all Japanese. But I think that some people needs information about that.
Though it's in Japanese we still can call it by name, or at least pronunciation. like in China, we also have the same names for skills like 全换、正攻、押 and so on. loll
There's no arcade place where I live, or I haven't searched one to go to lol! It is three hours drive where there is one, but they don't have this sick game like or any rhythm games. Thanks for the tutorial! I've been watching some chunithm gameplays for so long and I have to figure out how to play some of the mechanics. This completes it!
From watching people play this game at anime conventions, it wasn’t immediately obvious to me that you didn’t have to hit the “full width” for tap notes. It’s more like a margin of acceptable zones to hit, which I think would make playing much more intuitive. I’m a little less afraid to try out Chunithm now!
Watching ahead of time cos I'll be travelling somewhere that has a chunithm cab and been wanting to play for a long time, thank you for the tutorial! Super helpful
Thanks a lot for this! I've been so curious about this game. Watching other gameplays made me think "what the hell is he doing?". This solved a lot of questions. Now to wait for this to arrive here. (Which sounds kinda impossible) :3
THANK YOU! I may have to wait for a long time before I can actually go there and play myself, but at least with this tutorial, I can more or less imagine the fun and understand what's going on in every video that pops up in my YT feed 😂. I play Arcaea btw. and at this time of writing, Chunithm and Arcaea are having a 2nd collab. I already got Brilliante, Nono Shibusawa, and Regulus!
I noticed as I started getting into more difficult levels that I could slide across lots of little notes but would sometimes lose combo. So you do not have to tap, just slide hand into the note. I would also fling my hand up, but you fling down which makes getting to the keyboard for the next note easier. Cool!
Game just got released here in the Philippines and i watched here to check out the basics. Oh boy seeing that track in the highest difficulty, rhythm masters are going to break a sweat on this one than they did on maimai.
Recently, I’ve been in Japan for almost 2 months from now, and the most confusing part were just the character skills. Can you give a translation too for that, or please just give the website ?
I actually went to Tokyo and tried this in July, and CHUNITHM was impressive. With so many songs that I already have heard before, I did played a lot XD. Still I wish to translate this video to Chinese and upload, only if you are kind enough to permit me.
blue notes are mines (i think), touching the slider where the mine is once it passes the judgement lines will count as a miss. note: some blue notes are actually minimum length slides. mines have an electric effect, slides do not. yellow notes aren't really notes but are technically notes, you do not need to tap them. you can tap before it hits the judgement line and hold, and once the note passes the line, it will count as a hit.
@@singularit_y they are called flick notes you see them in master levels or worlds end there is an advanced tutorial that should pop up covering them when you get to master Basixally what you said it is a slide
I'm definitely willing to come in Japan and try this Funny Game!!! Even if I may suck at this but, considering I'm quite good at Beatstar maybe I can play this game pretty well... Maybe
Ok, just one question, I've just recently started playing chunithm cause my place finally have it, and I can play up to master 13+ or so now, but I still don't know how the hell some people can play stream parts so effortlessly with minimal movement, I mean, yes they are extremely good, but is there a trick to it, or do you just have to practice? For now I can only play it normally with my instincts, but it looks like I'm gonna break the machine if I play like that on harder difficulty 😆😆😆, it is also way more tiring playing it like this Oh and thank you in advance if you actually replied to this
ive seen so many chunithm plays but i always question how the heck they do the flickering notes like why are they swinging their arms lol but now i see i really want to play chunithm lol
Hello, can I ask what gloves are you using here? Are those basic polyester ones that let you play on touch screen or it's some different material that works only with slider screen.
A7oG sorry for a year late reply but the screen itself isn’t an actual traditional touchscreen like a phone, more like a very sensitive pressure sensor - this means it doesn’t need touch feedback in the same way smartphones do, so gloved hands work just fine. polyester gloves like these seem to be the most common as they’re soft and slidey - they keep your hands clean from the machine and allow you to glide on the touch bar easily without friction from your skin
Hello ! Thank you for this great video. I would like to know what are the differents colours (red, yellow and blue). I saw that red are to be taped every time. But yellow doesn't, sometimes I just let my hand without taping and it works, sometimes not... Could you please explain me that ? Thank you !!! Nice work !
Red and Yellow notes are both tapping notes. Yellow acts as a "crit" note with different sound effects and points. Blue-lined nodes are nodes that needs to be swiped, but can generally be tapped quickly on higher level maps. Sometimes you "feel" that yellow nodes dont need to be tapped probably because the nodes lie in the path of the blue slider, so you when you slide through the yellow node on the blue slider the touchpad reads that you have tapped it.
@@valentino76600 there also flick notes that a4e blue but only in master and worlds end that are called flick notes they are shown in advanced tutorial and worlds end has it's own notes and damage notes
At first I thought the "air" notes used the screen.
Now, it actually looks cool when it done in the literal air!
I wish sega would bring this to the west. It looks fun to play and is something that you can't really play at home unlike in an arcade. I can dream
YuanCon made a controller and a simulator to play it (gonna release soon).
Sarblade OH YES YES YES PLEASE
Sows have made your dream come true boi...
IT IS really fun to Play. Best rythm game in Japan tbh
It is coming to the west, Chunithm SuperStar. It was supposed to be out in the Summer, but due to COViD, it's coming in November.
For anyone asking, to hit flick notes, just flick your finger on the ground slider left or right.
Oshama Scramble wwww This is a really great tutorial for beginners to be honest. Looking forward to any advanced skills guide for this game. お疲れ様です

I can't do any translation if you don't allow me to. I appreciate if you reply my TH-cam message :3
Thank you for the clear explanation and tutorial. It's way easier to understand than the English website :D

I just started playing chunithm and was wondering why some patterns were so difficult to hit. This helps a lot! Thank you!

Inku Xuan Sorry for late response, please feel free to translate this! Thanks
Gee if only ARCADES EXISTED IN MY HOME COUNTRY
Thanks, helped a lot! But will there be / is there a tutorial for the other notes (e.g. blue notes, air swipe down)?
air swipe down I believe is just the same as air action but you touch the slider
blue notes are mines (i think), touching the slider where the mine is once it passes the judgement lines will count as a miss.
note: some blue notes are actually minimum length slides. mines have an electric effect, slides do not.

after spending about 600 CDN (439 usd) to get a controller and then finding a way to play chunithm on my pc I can say that its def worth it lol
Question. How do you save your profile? I like the game, my local mall just got one.
If the cabinet is online, you use the aime or any Amusement IC cards

May I use banapass for Chunithm? Don't have any Aime card atm
banapass is compatible with aime reader.
thanks for the information :)
So you don't need to be too exact with where you tap?
Narks Wide “note” can be get by touch anywhere inside the “note”. Narrow notes are more difficult to get.
YoshioTube200X so like each big note is 4 small notes wide I'm guessing
Narks No, width of each notes are very variable. For example (Japanese site): www.sdvx.in/chunithm/03/03064mst.htm
