Woodturning - The Big Hornbeam Log - Live Edge Bowl

Welcome back to this weeks woodturning video folks!
In this woodworking video I use a woodturning lathe to turn a big Hornbeam log into a live edge ogee bowl.👇 Links to tools/materials below👇

This piece of Hornbeam is very clean with straight grain that accentuates the shape of the ogee bowl beautifully. The bark is thin but solid so produced a lovely consistent natural edge bowl.
The wood is still pretty green so there will be some nice movement in the finished piece over the next few weeks - keep an eye out on my Instagram feed to see how it turns out!
There was a lot of experimentation during this woodturning project to try and find the shape I wanted within the log and allow the final piece to make the best use of the features and grain
I have a few more of these Hornbeam logs so there will be some more videos using it in the future
