Hobby shops around me , the dont say a word to you. They have their buddies that they group with and when you buy something from them they don't carry parts for when they break.

by kev or raz? I think Raz is way more likely to break it, I have nothing against Kev with his methods but I think he should hire someone like Raz to help build him a decent car, so with Kevs money and Raz knowledge it would be possible

collaborating. I’d really like to see more of you two together and I’d really like to see you team up on a crazy build with
RC Sparks and also include Raz in that collaboration. I’m sure you already know who he is and you’ve probably seen the crazy builds he does. If you aren’t familiar with him then I recommend checking out his channel. He knows you bc he’s mentioned you a few times in videos. You both seem to have great craftsmanship skills and engineering seems to be in you’re blood so why not team up and build the wildest RC creation that anyone has ever seen. I mean if you guys get together I can see a full size rc car come to life. Why the heck not? You both have the know how and the means to do it so I say get together and show the world something they never ever thought they’d see.

for the guy at 12:06 : you can paint the fiberglass with gelcoat or with simple paint for metals. no more fiberglass itchy!

Looks like everyone is having fun. Kevin is great at showing other's cars and giving shout-outs. Also anyone working on the tire separation/delamination thing? That seems to be the wall for the big record when the cars look solid otherwise.
The problem with going fast . . the airs resistance to something passing through it is proportional to the forward facing surface area times the square of the velocity. What that means in practice is that if you want to double the speed of an object of a certain size you'll need to quadruple the power to do so.
Air temperature and pressure are important factors to consider for your record attempts. If your power/gearing etc. is set up to do just over 200 mph without factoring in drag you'll never get there.
Your best bet from a more power standpoint is more power, much more power, and higher gearing.
Maybe gear it for like 300 mph and use one of your bashers as a tow car to give it a rolling start. That'd be quite neat to see.
That has nothing to do with the problems they encountered though
There’s a great video on YT about the Bugatti Chiron regarding that exact problem for high speed runs.
To @Luke, that may not be the exact fail points for each of the cars, but they should definitely consider this instead of the next time out being a glorified test session. Also, air temperature is important for the integrity of the foam wheels ripping up on that surface. That was one of the problems for Raz.
Wrong. If it’s got the power to do it and the right gearing it will do it. It’s not wheel spinning. I’m not sure if you realise the difference between gearing and power hahah.

I would think Raz would be an expert in running his cars in heat. I saw camels crossing the runway in one of his videos.

You both had me absolutely rolling as I was watching the two of you attempt RC history together. I've loved watching the evolution of your monster truck career but this is, hands down, one of my favorite videos that you have ever uploaded.

Fantastic, once again KenRaz bring us content worth watching over and over again. ROSSA crew were fantastic, and all the guys just loved the event, I watched Project Air last night and was really pleased to see Kevin giving support to the guy. Its great to see the RC world has no boundaries.

Hey Kevin,I got to know your channel exactly for this project. I don't do any of this, no RC models but I was curious to see how far and fast these cars can go. I was noticing that one frequent problem is the cars lifting their front and take off. I have an idea to prevent that and maybe gain a bit of stability. I was thinking about a feedback aero connected to the suspensions. With a slightly tilting front splitter, if the front of the car starts lifting the splitter may tilt downwards and compensate the lift. It may increase drag in that occasion and not reach top speed, but it would give you a chance to save the car from taking off. For sure it would need to be fine tuned and some experimenting, but maybe it's worth a shot! Good luck and thank you for your videos!

Rossa looks like a fantastic event, I really enjoyed the interviews with all the attendees and seeing all the different cars. Best of all is the enthusiasm and entertainment you and Raz provide.
Looks like a great way to spend a couple of days. Beautiful scenery surrounded by friends. Oh, and you get to run some really fast cars.

13:47 he's on the right track. LENGTH = SPEED. You look at all the land speed record holders they all run really long chassis that are narrow. It's the same as downhill skiing: longer = faster.
you have to be rigid though so you don't get oscillation in the flex of the chassis.
In boats there's a thing call theoretical Hull speed. It's an equation based on Hull length on displacement vessels.
formula: velocity in knots = 1.35 x the square root of the waterline length in feet.
Basically the longer the Hull, the higher it's possible top speed.
No doubt there would be a similar equation for passing through air, as air is technically a fluid.

For getting more power out of the batteries, discharge it with 20-25A and then charge it with 15-20A, this will reduce the internal restistance a lot. And you can draw more power out of the batteries.

Makes you realise how insanely well Nic Case did to do it in 2015 with a fraction of the power. Very well designed and out together slippery aero I would say. I know he reached out to Kev a while back, someone should invite him to one of these events. presumably he still has the record setting car.

@@YorkshireRC I didn't participated, but last year in a german RC forum they did the challenge of who builds the fastest Tamiya TT02.
Something like that could be an entry too. Maybe with some RC friends, or a local club.

This whole video really highlights what makes this hobby great. The cars are only one part of it, the community and the way everyone really just wants to have a good time most of all, and they want you to have a good time too, that's what makes it great. Really all they want is a reason to say "WOW".
Hey Kev, Just wanted to let you know just how grateful I am that people such as yourself pay that high tax bracket and help to keep me living a comfortable life even though I have not been able to find a way to support myself due to health issues I'm suffering from.
